Grandpa Gu knew that one of his old comrades-in-arms had an orange tree. He didn't know if the oranges were sour or not, but there were always some sour and some sweet ones on a tree, so he picked them all and brought them back.

Knock knock knock~

A few minutes later, a resentful voice came from inside the door.

"Who is it? Is it polite to knock on someone's door so late at night?"

Grandpa Zhao pushed open the door impatiently and saw Grandpa Gu standing outside, which made him so angry he wanted to hit him.

"Old man Gu, are you deliberately keeping me awake because you have insomnia? I finally managed to fall asleep and you woke me up. What are you up to?"

Grandpa Gu and Grandpa Zhao were comrades-in-arms who went through thick and thin together. Now that they are both retired and live in the same compound, they still visit each other frequently.

However, they often bicker and argue, and they can't stand each other.

If it weren't for his granddaughter-in-law wanting to eat oranges, he wouldn't have taken the initiative to come looking for this old man Zhao.

"Oh, let me tell you, my granddaughter-in-law is pregnant."

Old Zhao glared at him. This guy was coming all the way in the middle of the night to brag about his granddaughter-in-law's pregnancy.

Is he sick?

"So what? That's no excuse for waking me up in the middle of the night."

Although Grandpa Gu asked someone to pick oranges from someone else's house, he still couldn't help but show them off.

"How about that? Impressive, right? Is your granddaughter-in-law pregnant?"

Old Master Zhao grabbed a stick from behind the door and pretended to scare him.

"Old man Gu, are you sick? My grandson isn't even married yet, how can my granddaughter-in-law get pregnant?"

Are you deliberately trying to annoy me? I'll beat you to death, you old geezer!

Gu Huaiming knew Old Master Zhao. He and his father had been bickering for their entire lives. In the past, one was a division commander and the other a political commissar, and neither of them would give in to the other.

Despite their bickering, the two had an incredibly close relationship. If either of them had a headache or fever, the other would rush over with gifts to visit them, afraid that if they fell ill, no one would be there to play with them.

So Gu Huaiming wasn't worried when he saw Old Zhao with the stick, since the stick wouldn't land on Old Master Gu anyway.

Grandpa Gu chuckled twice.

“I’ll pick some of your oranges. After your grandson gets married, I’ll have him teach him how to get his wife pregnant.”

Old Master Zhao was furious.

Not only was he woken up in the middle of the night, but he was also mocked for not having a granddaughter-in-law.

That old scoundrel Gu does nothing right.

"Get out of here! The orange tree is over there. Pick the oranges yourself, and close the door behind you when you leave."

I'm going back to sleep. Don't bother me, I'm so annoying.

After saying that, he went into the house with his hands behind his back.

Grandpa Gu directed Gu Huaiming and Gu Qizheng to climb the tree and pick oranges.

“Pick them all, don’t leave a single one for that old geezer. Anyway, he doesn’t have a granddaughter-in-law, it would be a waste to leave the oranges for him.”

Gu Huaiming readily agreed, "Okay, I'll pick them all and take them back to Hanhan."

Gu Huaiming and Gu Qizheng really didn't hold back and picked all of Old Master Zhao's orange tree bare.

I reckon that when I wake up tomorrow morning and see this orange tree, there will be one more person in the world who will be heartbroken.

Three grown men picked oranges, put them in bags, and carried them home.

Then Gu Qizheng told Grandpa Gu and Gu Huaiming to go back to sleep first, and he took the oranges to the kitchen by himself.

He had never drunk orange juice; he usually just peeled oranges and ate them directly.

But if Lin Han wants to drink juice, he has a way to turn oranges into juice.
