Lin Jiaojiao never expected that Lin Han would see her at her most vulnerable. All her pride collapsed at that moment.
But she still wouldn't allow herself to be outdone by Lin Han, and continued to act superior, choosing to retaliate verbally.
Lin Han didn't care. Only Lin Jiaojiao herself knew whether she was doing well or not. Even if others couldn't see the suffering, she had to swallow it all herself, bite by bite.
"Really? Then I'll be watching closely."
The train bell rang, and the escorts from the Red Committee urged Lin Jiaojiao to move forward.
Feng Tianyou followed Lin Jiaojiao's gaze and saw Lin Han standing there peacefully, but this woman would never belong to him again.
He suddenly felt empty inside, and a sharp pain shot through him.
"Lin Han, you must wait for me, wait for me to come back from the Northwest."
Feng Tianyou waved to Lin Han in front of Lin Jiaojiao, as if afraid she wouldn't see him, and jumped up halfway up his body despite the Red Committee members' obstruction.
Lin Jiaojiao had just been showing off to Lin Han that she had a loving husband, but the next second her husband slapped her in the face in front of Lin Han.
"Feng Tianyou, you're not still thinking about that little vixen Lin Han, are you?"
Lin Han ignored the feud between the two adulterers and turned to walk towards the train heading towards Qingzhou.
"Passengers, the train bound for Qingzhou is about to depart. Please board the train in an orderly manner."
Lin Han put all her luggage into the space, carrying only a crossbody bag with some inconspicuous items on it.
She found her seat in the hard-seat carriage with her ticket.
Lin Yangfeng, that old miser, ran away with a ship full of good stuff, only willing to buy his daughter a hard seat. No wonder they say they need to crack down on capitalists; none of them are good people.
Lin Han sat down in a seat by the window, and a moment later a plump middle-aged woman came over carrying a five or six-year-old child.
"Baogen, please ask your sister to move over a little. There's not enough room for the two of us."
After saying that, the old lady pushed her five- or six-year-old grandson in front of Lin Han.
The hard-seat carriages are already crowded with three people per row. Her grandson didn't buy a ticket and wanted to sit with her. How could they sit down without taking someone else's seat?
Bao Gen stepped forward in front of Lin Han and spoke as if it were the most natural thing in the world.
"You, move aside."
Lin Han looked up at him and realized that, no matter the era, brats are still just as annoying.
But if she hits such a young child, won't she be arrested by the train police?
Let's just hand over this difficult task.
Lin Han smiled and stepped aside slightly, taking out a White Rabbit milk candy from her bag and handing it to the boy.
"You're so amazing! I'm scared of you. Fine, fine, you can have this candy, but you can't bully me anymore, okay?"
Baogen snatched the candy from Lin Han's hand. "Hmph, I'm pretty good."
Those around shook their heads, thinking that Lin Han was far too easy to talk to.
Baogen managed to grab a seat and even ate some candy. He immediately felt like a super invincible little tyrant, believing that as long as he acted tough, everyone would give way to him.
"Grandma, I want to eat eggs."
Baogen saw a woman across from him take an egg out of her pocket and start peeling it. He was afraid that he would be too late and the woman would take a bite out of the egg.
The old woman glanced at the egg in the woman's hand and began teaching her grandson.
“Baogen, go talk to your aunt. If she doesn’t want to give you any, you can’t just take it from her.”
Baogen only heard two words: "Forcefully seize it."
