Chapter 20 Departure

“Alright, let’s wait until late at night before we go out. After all, the old lady can’t be at the back door in the middle of the night. We can go out then.” This was the first time He Yuping had done something like this, but for her daughter’s sake, she suppressed her unease.

To spare her short legs from suffering, He Caiwei pulled her mother directly into the room with the cars. He Yuping was stunned by the room full of cars and couldn't recover for a long time.

What kind of magical treasure has her daughter obtained? How come she even has such precious things? And these are much better looking than those two dark, ugly iron hulls at the Qu residence.

He Yuping's eyes lit up when she saw the mini car. It was a pink, four-seat electric mini car with two cute bunny ears on it, which completely melted He Yuping's heart.

"Daughter, is there any way to learn this? I want to learn." After circling the car several times, He Yuping finally remembered that she couldn't drive, so she quickly pulled her daughter aside and asked in a low voice.

"I know how, but I don't know how to teach you. But we can check if it's on TV." He Caiwei's legs and arms are too short to reach the brake pedal, so she can't teach her. She can only check if it's downloaded on TV.

Upon hearing this, He Yuping became instantly excited, forgetting that she was about to leave. Her main goal now was to learn how to drive that cute little car.

Back in the living room, He Caiwei found her an automatic transmission instruction video. To drive this electric car, all you need is an automatic transmission driver's license, just like her driving instructor told her when she went to learn to drive.

Seeing her mother watching the video with great interest, she had no choice but to go back to the warehouse and move the electric car that her mother had her eye on to an open space outside.

That place looks like a place for drying rice. It's quite spacious, at least 200 meters long and wide. There's plenty of room for her to build.

After finishing setting up the driving range for her mother, she went back to the kitchen to prepare some pastries. Back in college, she used to work part-time at pastry shops and cake stores, and her favorites were Chinese pastries and chiffon cakes.

Of course, she couldn't avoid learning from others. The master craftsmen would occasionally spare some time to teach her, seeing how diligent she was at work. She thought she had a pretty good eye and had already mastered everything she had learned.

So she spent another summer working at a bubble tea shop and learned how to make all kinds of bubble tea.

However, there was no way to cook in the dormitory, so even if she learned how, she couldn't make it herself. But during the two months she worked at the bubble tea shop, she could drink bubble tea for free every day, which was another source of joy for her.

Thinking of milk tea, she suddenly had a strong craving for it. She ran to the warming cabinet, only to find it empty. She then went to the refrigerator. The warming cabinet and refrigerator had been stocked when she arrived, but she hadn't checked them carefully in all the days she'd been there. What exactly was inside?

Opening the top door of the refrigerator, I found it was packed full of drinks, including yogurt, whole milk, lactic acid bacteria drinks, and even sports drinks.

Suddenly, I noticed the top shelf of the kitchen door, which contained milk tea, and every kind of it was available, such as pearl milk tea, grass jelly milk tea, double-skin milk, and all kinds of fruit juice.

He Caiwei took a big gulp of milk tea and let out a satisfied sigh, as if she had finally come back to life.

When she finished making pastries and drinking milk tea in the kitchen and came out, she found that her mother was no longer in the living room. While she was still wondering where her mother could have gone, she heard a car horn outside, which startled her. She ran out of the living room and saw her mother sitting in the car with a satisfied look on her face, and breathed a sigh of relief.

She was still wondering if she was getting too excited. She had only watched the video once, how could she dare to do it? She was too daring. Although the area she had set up was relatively spacious and there were no obstacles, she was probably the only one who would dare to do it after watching the video only once.

What stunned her even more was what happened next. Ms. He Yuping had only just figured out the buttons and gears on the car when she dared to start the engine and drive off, and she was only a little rusty at the beginning.

In just one hour, Ms. He Yuping's driving skills were almost like those of an experienced driver.

Her mother is absolutely unbeatable when it comes to learning new skills.

After successfully confusing herself, Ms. He Yuping got off the bus and returned to her daughter's side.

"Wow, you're out! Driving is so easy, not as hard as learning embroidery. By the way, do you have the same kind of car as the one at the Qu family's house? I want to learn that too, and that truck and van as well. Oh, and do you have any books or videos on car repair? I want to look at those too." He Yuping had just learned to drive, and the excitement hadn't worn off yet. Her mother was a year younger than her when she was in college, so it's understandable that she was interested in everything. She was the same way when she first started college.

"Mom, are you hungry? Eat first. After you eat, I'll check what time it is outside. You can learn whatever you want after we leave here. It's not safe to stay here all the time." He Caiwei thought that she still had to leave here first, otherwise the feeling of being watched by someone outside would be unpleasant.

"I understand. I'll eat first and then go change my clothes. Let's dress in tattered clothes so that no one can recognize us." He Yuping calmed her overly excited mood and then remembered that she was leaving this place tonight. She quickly picked up her food and ate.

He was still thinking about what to do later. If he could take the little car he had just been driving out, he would be able to go faster, and since the little car was quiet, he wouldn't have to worry about making a loud noise and disturbing others.
