Chapter 30 Tidying Up (2/2)

She closed the door behind her back, and using the cloth bag as cover, took out a purification talisman from her storage space.
With a slight movement of spiritual energy at the fingertips, the talisman spontaneously combusted without wind.
A faint light, barely perceptible to the naked eye, rippled outwards.
Wherever the halo passed, cobwebs, mold, and dust instantly vanished.
Even the air felt fresher, carrying the clean scent of sunshine.
Ruan Tang was quite satisfied with the results of cleaning her courtyard. She clapped her hands and was thinking about whether she should splurge and use a Cleansing Talisman to thoroughly clean every nook and cranny when her ears suddenly twitched.
From the neighboring yard, a very faint yet extremely dense rustling sound came.
The sound was strange; it didn't sound like a person wielding a sickle to cut grass, but rather like countless hands pulling grass at the same time.
Her heart skipped a beat, her curiosity piqued.
I tiptoed to the window and cautiously peered out through the window frame.
With just one glance, she couldn't help but widen her eyes.
Half of the weeds that used to fill the yard have been cleared away.
The other half was also falling at a visible speed; swathes of weeds seemed to be shaken from their roots by an invisible force, then lightly broke free of the soil and fell down in layers.
The culprit behind all this—Yan Yu—stood leisurely in the middle of the courtyard, his hands in his pockets, without even bending over.
She knew it!
This guy is definitely not an ordinary person!
Far from being afraid, she felt an overwhelming excitement and...happiness. Fellow villager, definitely fellow villager.
Ruan Tang slowly stepped back, her eyes darting around, and a sly smile slowly bloomed on her fair face, like a little fox that had discovered an even more interesting prey.
Hehe, that's great.
Ruan Tang happily looked away and picked up another cleansing talisman with her fingertips.
This time, however, she infused the talisman with an extra trace of spiritual power.
"go."
She whispered an incantation, and the talisman transformed into an even brighter golden light, instantly cleaning the entire room until it was spotless.
Even more wonderfully, a pure energy aftershock, carrying her unique, refreshing scent of herbs and trees, like a mischievous sprite, lightly leaped over the courtyard wall and directly "washed" across the neighboring west courtyard.
Yan Yu, who was using his mental energy to pull weeds in the yard, suddenly stopped!
He suddenly turned around, his dark pupils contracted sharply, creating a huge wave!
This energy...
It was pure and gentle, yet it carried a power he had never felt before!
This is absolutely not something that should exist in this era!
The purity of this energy far surpassed any superpower he had ever seen during the apocalypse! It possessed the same pure power as the water the little girl gave him to drink!
Yan Yu's burning gaze, as if drawn by a magnet, precisely locked onto the tightly closed door of the room.
His little girl...
Yan Yu's Adam's apple bobbed violently, and the corners of his mouth couldn't help but turn up wildly, almost stretching to his ears.
She really was my biggest surprise.
She was responding to herself! She was telling herself, in her own way, that they were the same kind of people!
He withdrew his spiritual energy, lowered his head, and continued to use his metal-based abilities to weed, as if nothing had happened.
But in those unfathomable eyes, there surged an intense, unyielding possessiveness.
He was determined to win the young girl's heart.
Yan Yu never considered himself to be someone who was lustful at first sight.
In the apocalypse, countless women threw themselves at him, but he never felt a ripple of emotion, much less this kind of obsessive, insane possessiveness that made him want to meld a person into his very bones.
Perhaps this is what my father meant by fate, a destiny ordained by heaven.
Since fate brought him to this era and made him meet this person...
Then he will never let go! (This chapter has been read. Please click to continue reading the next chapter!)
