In the accounting office, village accountant Li Heping was busy calculating on his abacus. The wheat harvest was approaching, and money was needed for the next planting season, so he was currently reviewing the accounts.

Hearing the voices, he looked up and saw the captain leading a man and a woman in. He stopped what he was doing, stood up with a serious expression, and nodded to the two of them.

As soon as Chen Fengshan came in, he said, "Heping, these are the new educated youth Ruan and Yan. Please handle their paperwork. They want to buy the house from the second landlord of Dadong."

Upon hearing that the two newly arrived educated youth wanted to buy the house belonging to the second landlord of Dadong, Li Heping glanced at them.

Although their clothes were a bit wrinkled, they had no patches, and both of them wore watches on their wrists, suggesting that they came from well-off families.

Li Heping didn't say anything. After confirming the two people's documents, he took the purchase documents out of the cabinet. After filling out the forms and getting the brigade's stamp, the matter wasn't over. The brigade leader still needed to take the documents to the commune to get a commune stamp before the procedures were complete.

After signing the papers, Chen Fengshan counted out 180 yuan from the money Yan Yu had given him and handed it to Li Heping.

Li Heping took the money, counted it, and found no problems. He then wrote out a receipt and handed it to Yan Yu, thus completing the formalities at the brigade level.

Chen Fengshan checked and, finding no other issues, led the two out, saying, "At the latest, I'll go to the commune tomorrow to complete the final procedures for you, and deliver the purchase contracts to you tonight. Later, the old Party Secretary will take you to the house you bought to settle in. The house repairs will have to wait until after work tonight; I'll arrange that for you then."

As the three of them talked, they walked into the courtyard. Chen Fengshan saw several people in the main room peeking over, so he waved and said, "Let's go, let's go look at the house."

Before she finished speaking, she pointed to the granary diagonally opposite Yan Yu and said, "You two go to the granary and get your grain."

After giving instructions to the two boys, Chen Fengshan called out towards the granary, "Fifth Uncle, could you please help these two boys get their resettlement grain and take them to the second landlord's house in Da Dong for resettlement?"

Before Chen Fengshan could finish shouting, a dark-skinned, lean old man with a pipe in his hand walked out of the granary.

He coughed to indicate that he understood.

At this moment, Lin Xiangnan and the others who followed him out of the main hall of the brigade also understood what was going on.

It seems Ruan Tang and Yan Yu bought a house, but how come everyone just decided to visit the villagers they were settling in, and the two of them bought a house already?

Of these people, Shen Yishan was the most impatient. She was a delicate and calculating person, and when she realized that the two of them had broken away from the group, she was completely upset.

Seeing that Ruan Tang and Yan Yu were really going to leave with the old Party Secretary and completely separated from the main group, the resentment and sense of abandonment in her heart exploded instantly!

"Captain!"

She rushed to Chen Fengshan in a few steps, her voice sharp and bright, carrying a strong questioning tone.

"Why didn't they come with us to look at the house? Why are there vacant houses, and you didn't even take us to see them, but just arranged for them to go straight to them?!"

Chen Fengshan already had little patience for this spoiled young lady, and her outburst immediately darkened his expression.

He didn't want to hide it anymore; the truth would come out sooner or later anyway. (This chapter has been read. Please click to continue reading the next chapter!)
