Jin He probably had too many injections a couple of days ago and had a bit of phlebitis. The veins on his forearm felt hard to the touch. An Yi kept asking the doctor questions for a long time, and the doctor had no choice but to prescribe some ointment and also tell him to cut some potato slices to apply to Jin He.

Jin He sat up, coughing as he stretched out his arm, looking down at An Yi as he applied the medicine.

"Does it hurt?" An Yi asked him.

"Just a little bit." Jin He was already used to it and didn't think much of it. He had even used thicker needles, let alone indwelling needles. Although they didn't hurt, it was still a bit of a hassle to have them stuck in his body like that.

"Your veins are even a bit stiff," An Yi said with a pained expression, placing a hot towel on Jin He's skin.

"It's alright." Jin Heteng reached out a hand to comfort him.

He had to go back to the hospital for a check-up every two weeks. During those two weeks, he only needed to stay with An Yi to recover. However, he soon discovered that An Yi seemed to be dedicated to turning him into a useless person.

Before going to bed that night, he discussed with An Yi: "I want to make some nougat tomorrow."

"Um?"

"Can we go to the supermarket?" Jin He asked. "I want to go shopping at the supermarket."

"What do you want? Can I have someone buy it for you?"

“But I want to go myself,” Jin He said.

Perhaps because Jin He's eyes were too eager, An Yi agreed on a whim. So the next morning, the two of them, fully armed with masks, sunglasses, and hats, appeared at a large supermarket near the community.

Because An Yi also wanted to buy some snacks and fruit for Jin He to eat when she was bored, the two of them went to the snack section first. An Yi pushed the cart, and Jin He walked in front, her eyes scanning the pile of snacks.

"Let's make it clear beforehand that snacks can't interfere with your meals."

"Hmm." Jin He reached out and grabbed a bag of potato chips, tossing it into the car. "Eat this."

Whether Jin He listened or not, An Yi pushed the cart behind Jin He, secretly put the spicy strips that Jin He had thrown into the cart back in, and cleverly pulled Jin He away when they passed the refrigerated area.

As a result, Jin He tugged at his sleeve and said, "I want to eat grilled sausage."

It was rare for Jin He to say that he wanted to eat meat, but An Yi still cruelly told him, "The sausages sold outside are not hygienic, and they may not have any meat in them. Go back and ask Aunt Shu to make you some."

"I really want to eat that."

Jin He was referring to those large sausages sold on the roadside, which shouldn't be in such a high-end supermarket. The supermarket probably didn't expect to sell them, so they placed them in the least conspicuous spot, but Jin He still managed to spot them.

"Stop joking. These sausages might not have been stored for very long. What if they spoil? We'll eat fresh ones when we get back."

Jin He stopped making a fuss after hearing this, but her eyes lingered on the sausage for a moment before she reluctantly looked away. She followed behind An Yi without saying much, and seemed to be in low spirits.

"Aunt Shu's cooking is definitely better than this."

"I know."

Jin He looked at him pitifully and said, "I just want to taste what it tastes like."

An Yi: "..."

"But it's unhygienic," An Yi said again, it was unclear whether he was advising Jin He or himself.

“But I used to buy these for Xiaomiao when I was in school, and I didn’t know they were unhygienic…” Jin He said. “Ah, actually I probably had a feeling that they wouldn’t taste as good as the sausages we make at home, but I couldn’t do anything about it.”

A sausage sold outside costs only two or three yuan. Jin He occasionally sneaks one into Xiao Miao's mouth, at least he can afford it. But if they really buy a pound of meat to cook at home, how much of it will end up in the mouths of the two siblings?

Moreover, if he eats too much, people will say he's a reincarnation of a glutton.

Jin He felt nauseous again at the thought of this.

An Yi took a grape from the tasting area and put it in his mouth: "Try this."

The nausea was suppressed by the sweet and sour grape flavor, and Jin He raised an eyebrow: "This is delicious."

"Then I'll have one."

It wasn't until Jin He got tired that An Yi pushed a large cart of things to pay the bill. When he came out, he realized that he hadn't bought the milk powder needed to make nougat, so he told Jin He to sit in the cart and wait for him while he went back to the store.

In those few minutes, Jin He saw a familiar figure emerge from the mall. At first glance, he didn't recognize him; he just thought he looked familiar. But upon closer inspection, well…!

Isn't that Yang Jiahui?!

Yang Jiahui was originally not bad-looking. He wasn't particularly stunning, but he was at least handsome. However, now Jin He looked at him and saw that his chin had been shaved into an unbelievable sharp angle. His face must have had too many injections. It was stiff and large, and the fleshy strips of his double eyelids looked like two worms crawling on his eyes.

Is this Yang Jiahui?

Jin He rubbed his eyes and looked carefully for a long time. He then discovered that Yang Jiahui was accompanied by a man, and he was holding the man's arm in a very intimate manner.

Just then, An Yi came out of the supermarket carrying two bags of milk powder. Yang Jiahui turned around and said something to the man, then called out to An Yi warmly.

An Yi was walking straight ahead without looking to the side when he heard someone call him from the side. He stopped and took out a pen from his pocket, asking, "Where do I sign?"

Yang Jiahui, who had just finished bragging to his boyfriend, was a little embarrassed: "Um... Brother An Yi, have you forgotten? It's me, Edgar!"

An Yi looked him over carefully for a moment: "Who are you?"

“Edgar…” Seeing that An Yi still looked puzzled, Yang Jia Hui finally let go of his stubbornness and said, “Yang Jia Hui.”

"Ah, it's you." An Yi leaned closer to look. "Why have you become so ugly?"

"Ah, these are just some minor adjustments."

"Slight adjustments?" An Yi said, "Did you ask for this yourself? I can't appreciate your aesthetic sense. Don't call yourself Jin He's cousin anymore, it's too embarrassing."

"Oh, let's not talk about that anymore." Yang Jiahui waved his hand and pulled the man next to him. "This is my boyfriend."

An Yi said to the man, "I can't appreciate your taste either."

The man was a little embarrassed by the sudden turn of events: "Hello, An Yi, I know you. I work at a film and television company. This is my business card. We can work together sometime."

"You should contact my agent to schedule your own time."

The man appeared to be in his forties, with an ordinary appearance, graying hair, and a slightly protruding belly. An Yi found the sight of him irritating and just wanted to end this damned conversation as soon as possible. It was an eyesore to see such a bizarre couple. He wanted to go back and hold Jin He's face for half an hour to cleanse his eyes.

"Brother An Yi, don't be so formal."

"Are we very familiar?"

An Yi showed absolutely no respect to others. Just as he was about to leave, he noticed that Jin He had rolled down the car window at some point and was leaning against it, resting her chin on her hand and watching the commotion with a smile.

An Yi: !!!

What if you catch a cold from driving with the windows open in the dead of winter?!

Yang Jiahui had obviously noticed Jin He as well, and ran over with a big smile: "Brother!"
