Fang Xiaoke jumped up instantly and saw that there was indeed a patch of foundation smeared on Jin He's shoulder. She wiped it off guiltily with her hand and said, "I'm sorry... Shall I wash it for you? I'll take it to the dry cleaners!"
Jin He reached out and rubbed his head, just as she was about to leave, when she heard Fang Xiaoke's stomach rumble.
Jin He: "..."
Fang Xiaoke blushed, scratched her head, and was about to leave as if nothing had happened.
"I have some leftovers from lunch here, they should be clean, would you like to eat some with me?"
It was like heavenly music.
Fang Xiaoke, tears streaming down her face, turned her head and asked, "Brother, aren't you hungry?"
“I’m hungry but I can’t eat much. Any leftovers will have to be thrown away the next day.” Jin He opened the lunchbox and showed it to him. “See if there’s anything you can’t eat? If not, let’s eat together. Anyway, it’s so late and you won’t find anything else to eat.”
"Brother! You're practically my own brother!"
Fang Xiaoke followed Jin He to heat up the boxed lunch. Jin He took out a small plate, scooped out most of the food, and pushed it to Fang Xiaoke's side: "Eat up."
“But bro, you said this is all leftovers from lunch. There’s so much left, you probably didn’t eat much of it.” Fang Xiaoke stuffed a piece of stir-fried pork belly into her mouth. “You can’t eat so little. We exercise so much, how can we have the energy to dance if we eat so little?”
"I prepared a lot of candy." Jin He picked up a grain of rice with his chopsticks, stuffed it into his mouth, and gave a "I can't go on living" smile. Not being able to eat too much in one meal was secondary; the main reason was... he really didn't like the food in the cafeteria.
It can only be said that Jin He only likes a few things to eat. Eating anything else is torture. Sometimes, in order to maintain vital signs, he might eat very quickly, for example, he might eat a large bowl of rice in a few bites, regardless of whether it tastes good or not. If he wasn't so dizzy from hunger, he wouldn't eat any of the leftovers.
Goodness.
Fang Xiaoke shoveled a few more mouthfuls of rice into her mouth: "Then what do you want to eat, brother? I'll get you something."
"Do you have a cell phone? How are you going to get something to eat?"
“I have a smartwatch,” Fang Xiaoke showed him. “I can call my friend and have him bring it over. Tell me, bro! You’ve helped me a lot today, you have to give me a chance to repay your kindness.”
Jin He thought about it carefully, but there didn't seem to be anything she absolutely had to eat, so she shook her head and said, "Let's talk about it next time."
As the two were talking, they saw someone carrying something dangling at the door of the tea room. Jin He looked up and saw that it was Wen Lian carrying a bag of bread.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to eavesdrop on your conversation," Wen Lian explained. "Did I disturb you?"
"No." Fang Xiaoke swallowed the food in her mouth and quickly shook her head: "Do you want some hot bread?"
"Hmm." Wen Lian turned on the microwave, sprayed some water on the bread, set the timer, looked at them, and asked Jin He, "Are you trying to lose weight?"
"No." Jin He shook his head, his chopsticks still holding a grain of rice. The rice grain fell off his chopsticks again, and he looked down to look for the rice grain that had just fallen.
Wen Lian suddenly said, "You need to eat more. If you exercise a lot and don't get enough nutrition, you'll get low blood sugar."
"Didn't you give me a lot of chocolate?" Jin He said with a smile, revealing eight neat teeth. Wen Lian seemed to be stunned by the smile, lowered his head, coughed lightly, and turned to get bread from the microwave, but his ears turned red quietly.
"You don't want to eat rice, would you like some bread? It should taste much better if it's freshly toasted."
Celebrities need to maintain their figure, so they usually eat whole wheat bread. Jin He looked at what Wen Lian was holding and shook her head: "Forget it, I'll finish these."
He didn't want to eat, so Wen Lian didn't force him. He just sat down next to Jin He. Jin He had an indescribable fragrance that Wen Lian noticed from the beginning. It smelled like soap that had been dried in the sun after washing clothes, with a hint of bitterness from Chinese medicine.
Wen Lian sat down next to Jin He and secretly sniffed the perfume twice more. It smelled so good! What brand was it? He wanted some too.
“When you were recording the theme song today, I saw that you danced quite well, didn’t I?” Wen Lian said. “You’re not actually as bad as they say, at least… no worse than me.”
Jin He recalled that the nap he took in An Yi's rest room this afternoon must have restored some of his energy, but it probably wasn't as good as Wen Lian said. He still felt a bit powerless.
"Yeah, yeah, Brother Xiaohe is really amazing! He only showed me twice today and I was able to catch the camera!"
Seeing that the two kids were about to start showering her with compliments, Jin He immediately stopped them: "I'm just more experienced. You won't have to worry about being on camera after a while. Besides, music show performances always require rehearsals."
"We're just rehearsing today, and I still remember how difficult it was," Fang Xiaoke said. "Xiaohe, you don't need to be so modest. You're so good-looking, and your dancing was great too. I think once your individual performance video comes out, you'll definitely become a sensation!"
"Hehe, thank you for your kind words." Jin He smiled dryly.
"The theme song will be officially recorded tomorrow morning, and the group selection for the first public performance will probably take place in the afternoon. Xiao He, what are your thoughts?" Wen Lian suddenly changed the subject.
"Huh?" Jin He didn't expect him to suddenly change the subject. "Well, we'll have to see what kind of songs are available. We can just pick one that we want to perform."
"What about group members? Are there any group members you'd like to join?"
"I'm fine with anything." Jin He couldn't eat anymore and started poking at the food on her plate with her chopsticks. At the very least, she couldn't leave any food uneaten and waste it.
"Would you like to team up with me?"
Wen Lian blurted out those words, but seeing that Jin He and Fang Xiaoke were looking at him, he immediately changed his tune, "Well, I think I'm actually lacking in expressiveness, and I'd like to learn from you. You have so much experience, and you teach Fang Xiaoke so well, you can definitely guide me!"
"But I think you did a great job."
Fang Xiaoke glanced at Wen Lian with her big, mischievous eyes, then at Jin He, eager to stir up trouble: "There's something I've wanted to ask you for a long time, Wen Lian, were you a fan of Jin He before?"
To everyone's surprise, Wen Lian's face instantly turned as red as a tomato after hearing those words.
Jin He: "!!!"
What's wrong with you?
"Is it that obvious?"
"It's super obvious, okay? You brought him food on your first day here and could immediately tell that Brother Xiaohe didn't look well. You're just too much of a fan."
Wen Lian's face turned even redder after what he said. Just now it was a super big tomato, now it's a fiery big chili pepper.
Jin He never expected that there would still be someone who was his fan, and that this was a trainee who was about to debut. For a moment, he and Wen Lian didn't know who was more shy.
"Um, would you like me to sign your autograph?"
