Su Wantang found a wheelchair in the hospital, arranged for Wei Juan to sit in it, and pushed her all the way to the orthopedic clinic.
Soon, the doctor finished examining Wei Juan's injuries.
"The patient has a fractured right shinbone. She also has extensive soft tissue contusions." The doctor frowned, looking at Wei Juan, who was sitting in a wheelchair, with a complicated expression. "You're seriously injured. The other party attacked you so brutally. Did you call the police?"
Upon seeing the girl's injuries, the doctor's first thought was that some street thug had committed this heinous act.
Wei Juan shook her head, her face pale. She didn't say that it was her biological father who beat her. She bit her lip, raised her dark eyes and looked at the doctor. "I will call the police when I get better."
"Your injuries are too severe. We must catch that person and bring him to justice. We can't let him get away with this." The doctor sighed and said, "Your wounds are minor. With some ointment and some rest, they will heal. But the injury on your leg requires surgery."
Wei Juan bit her lip tightly, nervously clutching the hem of her skirt.
Having surgery...
But she had no money...
Wei Juan raised her clear eyes and looked at the doctor, "I...I'm afraid of surgery...I don't want to do it..."
As she spoke, she turned her wheelchair around and took Su Wantang's right hand with her other hand. "Sister, let's go."
"How can you not have surgery? You've broken a leg. If you don't have surgery, won't you become disabled for the rest of your life?" The doctor frowned. "You're only 18 years old, so young."
"She needs surgery." Su Wantang's gaze was firm. "Please ask the doctor to arrange the surgery for her."
"Sister, I don't want to have surgery... I don't have any money..." Wei Juan looked at Su Wantang with embarrassment.
"Silly girl." Su Wantang gently poked her forehead with her admiring finger. "You don't have money, but I do."
Wei Juan blinked, her eyes stinging as she looked at Su Wantang. "But my sister has already helped me so much, how can I spend her money..."
"It's okay, I have plenty of money. This little bit of money is nothing to me," Su Wantang reassured Wei Juan.
“But…” Wei Juan pursed her lips, wanting to say something, but Su Wantang gently held her hand, leaned down and looked at her tenderly, “If you really feel guilty, just consider this money as a loan to you, and you can pay me back when you can earn money in the future.”
Wei Juan looked at Su Wantang with gratitude, tears welling up in her clear eyes. She bit her lip and nodded.
How can there be such a gentle and wonderful older sister in this world...
Was she an angel sent by heaven to save him?
Wei Juan felt that the beautiful woman in front of her was like a ray of light illuminating her dark and lonely world.
"Go ahead and have the surgery, don't be afraid." Su Wantang held her hand and said softly, "They'll give you anesthesia during the surgery, so it won't hurt. Just close your eyes and take a nap, and you'll feel better when you wake up."
"Mmm." Wei Juan's eyes stung and she looked at Su Wantang with gratitude.
Since my mother passed away, no one has ever been this kind to me.
The beautiful woman in front of me is the only person in the world who is so gentle and kind to me.
Once her leg has fully recovered, she will study hard, get into university, and after graduation and finding a job, she will repay her sister many times over.
