She looked up from her phone and onto Huo Zhizhou's face, meeting his dark, unfathomable eyes.

She asked with unusual seriousness: "Don't you know whether I'm angry or not? Knowing how I feel, what are you thinking asking this question?"

"I'm sorry." Huo Zhizhou leaned closer to her, his eyes full of sincerity. "I just saw you were looking at your phone and not at me, so I wanted you to talk to me."

Jiang Ruan felt a tightness in her chest.

When Huo Zhizhou dotes on someone, he truly does so, knowing all her emotions and showing care and protection accordingly.

“If you want to take them away from me, I will do everything I told you before.” Huo Zhizhou looked into her eyes as he said this, his words clear, “I will do anything to keep you by my side.”

"You're crazy!" Jiang Ruan said, getting up and going upstairs.

She dared not stay any longer.

I was afraid he would press me for answers.

She was afraid of hearing threats that would frighten her even more.

"I'm not joking with you." Huo Zhizhou grabbed her wrist and turned his back to her. "I can tolerate you causing trouble in Jingzhou, but don't even think about leaving."
