Chapter 84 Lord of the Ocean

The sea was calm and still. A bird lay motionless on a reef, while several others rolled over, revealing their red bellies, and lay on their backs on a tree stump that had emerged from the water.
The reef twitched slightly, scaring away the seabirds.
Whenever the sunlight passes over a very steep mountain range, there is always an indescribable strangeness.
The volcano, the rocks, and the forest—no matter how much noise they cause, they cannot be awakened.
The rapidly accelerating demonic path grew weaker and thinner until it finally became a streak of colorful clouds on the horizon.
Lisa was exhausted. She leaned against the fiery red scythe handle and finally managed to fall asleep, but was awakened by a battle taking place in the far distance.
She hadn't spoken to anyone for a while, and through careful observation, she discovered that the battle was taking place on the other side of the sea, where the Naga's stronghold was located.
The base camp was hit by hail one moment, then bursts of light like fireworks the next, and then an explosion.
She knew who was there and wanted to help them, but she was just too tired.
Lisa was recovering her strength and was extremely tired. She noticed several footprints on the beach. The footprints were shallow and did not belong to any large creature.
Looking up a little further, there's a newly added demonic path, as thin as a snake, probably used by someone to come to the island.
Who could it be? Enemy or friend?
She gazed calmly at the forest ahead; that guy loved playing hide-and-seek.
This was no joke. Due to the excessive consumption of magic, Lisa was burdened with both physical and mental strain, and all she could do was rest.
On the contrary, the guy opposite her came fully armed, full of energy, and could take her life at any moment.
However, more than ten minutes passed, and the guy was still circling in the forest, unable to find a way out.
Suddenly, a small black dot appeared; the uninvited guest had finally arrived at one of the thousands of passageways in the mountains.
Strangely enough, the mountain range has countless branches, making it practically a maze, yet that guy had never been here before, but he knew how to take a shortcut.
His nose was very sensitive; he followed the scent of lingering magic.
Lisa gripped the scorching hot scythe, ready to enter the battle.
Just then, the battle in the distance ended.
Lisa raised her head slightly and glanced at him, but after just one glance, she lost track of the guy.
Where did he go?
Lisa sensed someone approaching, but couldn't see the person. However, she did manage to see them nonetheless.
Each elf must learn to follow the rules and live in harmony with the natural environment. Elves are naturally clever, quick-witted, curious, and agile, making them excellent scouts.
The elves are also exceptional in their archery skills and the magic taught by their elders, which makes them magical archers.
In addition, the art of invisibility was first invented by elves who were scouts.
Lisa used the last of her magic to swing the scythe.
A new passageway was instantly cleaved through the mountain range ahead.
"My beauty! You almost hit me! But how did you find out?"
“You used to be with my man, and you smell like him.”
"Just as Billies described, both glamorous and violent, but that's exactly what I appreciate."
The invisibility spell was dispelled, and a half-reincarnated individual who looked exactly like a pirate appeared in front of Lisa.
A half-reincarnated being who can use invisibility and skillfully conceal his presence, while in Lisa's memory, only elves possess both concealment and ambush abilities.
“You are not human. The semi-reincarnated people I know could not possibly use so many magical skills, and you are agile, far surpassing human physical skills.”
Upon hearing this, the man's pointed ears, hidden beneath his silicone mask, twitched.
"Your husband has been with me for a while and never discovered my secret, but you found it all at once. Is this a good thing or a bad thing?"
"Are you here to kill me?"
“How can I explain this to you? I did have this plan earlier, hoping that you and Leviathan would be weakened so that I could take advantage of the situation. But when I arrived here, I realized that I was overthinking it.”
The captain stepped on a rough, uneven rock; something seemed to be hidden underneath.
He moved the stone a little to the side, then found a long branch, inserted the branch between the stone and the hollow, stepped on the end of the branch with his foot, and with great effort, moved the stone away completely.
The stone rolled down the cliff, and a different colored stone appeared at your feet.
These stones, with their lava-red hue and evenly distributed patches, closely resemble animal muscle tissue, appearing both smooth and fresh.
Lisa, sensing no malice, deliberately asked, "Are you a geologist?"
The captain sensed this was intentional and replied dryly, "Nothing, I'm just looking for traces of Leviathan."
Do you know where it is?
"I think I just found it."
The captain carefully examined the volcanic rocks beneath his feet. The rocks were no different from the corpse; they were aging and dying.
This man, who possessed extraordinary courage and intelligence, used an appraisal spell to discover that it was composed of some black substances and constantly emitted the aura of a tomb.
It was as if Death had just come and taken away all the living things on the island.
The captain shuddered, and Lisa seemed to notice the shudder.
How could he possibly escape?
At this moment, it was as if something was dwelling at both ends of the earth, and thousands of troops were galloping across the island. People with such power to summon wind and rain could do whatever they wanted in this other world.
The captain thought this way because he had seen the most real female demon.
However, what interests him most is not getting to know or understand his opponents through battle.
The captain has a little-known side: he uses gambling strategies to analyze his opponents' psychology and instantly exploit their weaknesses.
"You think you're helping another world, but little do you know that people are starting to notice you," the captain said clearly and calmly. "Why not continue playing the 'pig'? Why insist on being the first to stick your neck out? Do you think others can't see you?"
"So what if you saw it?"
The captain pointed to the sky and said, "You know nothing about those guys up high up."
Following the captain's words, Lisa also looked up at the sky.
There was a cloud in the sky that was different from usual; despite the wind, it remained completely still.
There's clearly something in the clouds.
"You traveled all this way just to tell me this?" Lisa asked.
“If I said it was just for fun, you certainly wouldn’t believe me, Agent Lisa. It’s time to reveal your identity and prove that I’m not your enemy.”
The captain tore the mask off his face, revealing the face of the Light Elf.
Lisa had never met this person before, but she could sense that there were countless masks on his face that he hadn't yet removed.
A persistent attitude towards something, a liking for deceiving people's feelings, a skill in hiding one's true personality, a talent for sweet talk to beautiful women, and a submissive attitude towards life.
To show respect, Lisa had no choice but to put away her weapon.
The captain's voice changed after he took off his mask.
"I am a member of the Hero Alliance's intelligence team. The Hero Alliance knows the identity of every agent very well. Apart from you and Billis, the two new members, the higher-ups have high hopes for you. Because your performance is too outstanding, it makes your colleagues lose face. I'm talking about some people's colleagues. You see, there are always some people in this world. When you perform too plainly, they will take the initiative to befriend you. When you surpass them in every aspect, you'd better find a way to protect yourself."
How do I know if what you're saying is true?
"You don't need to know. I'm here to tell you that you need to learn to hide your strength and not let the people above find out."
"After saying all that, you left my husband, Aisha, and that other person, your partner, at the Naga base. Did you do this to prevent the higher-ups from finding out?"
“Your husband is different from you. What he and his friends need most is training. If they can’t even get out of the Naga stronghold, how will they face the difficulties of the future?”
"Well then, I should thank you for leaving him at base camp."
"No need for that. Although he may not be as smart as me or as strong as you, he will at least perform very well when it comes to protecting his family and friends."
“You are also excellent, sir, but you haven’t told me your name yet.”
"I cannot tell you your name yet, madam." The captain turned and said, "It's getting late, I must go. I have one last small request."
"I'm listening."
"Don't tell your husband about our meeting; it's better for both of us."
Lisa watched the mysterious agent leave the island.
Meanwhile, from a magical path leading to the island, came the enthusiastic shouts of Biris, as passionate as a child's.
