Chapter 54 Court Summons, Not One Missed (Part 2)

"The court?" Chen Tianyi frowned slightly, about to ask what they wanted when three staff members suddenly appeared outside the door.
These three staff members were originally responsible for delivering three court summonses.
Since all three people involved in the case were here, things became much easier.
"Are you Chen Tianyi, the music director of Starway Music?" one of the women asked.
"I am." Chen Tianyi's expression was serious, but not impolite. "What brings you gentlemen here today...?"
The woman didn't answer him, but looked at the two women beside her: "Zhao Shanshan, Qin Fei?"
"Yes, what's wrong?" the two women answered in unison.
The woman turned her face to the side.
Two men behind him each took out three court summons and handed them over.
The woman then said seriously, "The Supreme People's Court of Shanghai has issued a summons to Chen Tianyi, music director of Xingtu Music, Zhao Shanshan from Xingtu's contract department, and Qin Fei, secretary to the music director of Xingtu Music. They are to appear in court at 2:30 p.m. sharp for the hearing."
After the court summons was served, the three men turned and left.
Chen Tianyi was both surprised and shocked. What was going on?
He quickly chased after her, put his arm around her shoulder, and asked, "Comrade, what's wrong? Tell me first, who's going to sue us!"
"What are you doing? Let go!" The woman reacted quickly, clearly disgusted by the strange man touching her. She took two steps back before replying, "I'm sorry I can't tell you, but the court will start promptly at 2:30. If you don't show up, you will lose."
After saying that, the three of them left.
The three were left completely bewildered.
"Tianyi, who wants to sue us?" Zhao Shanshan wasn't exactly panicked, but she was very confused.
After recovering from his shock and disbelief, Chen Tianyi began to think outside the box and finally came up with an answer: "At this stage, we haven't offended anyone except Wanxia. If anyone were to sue us, it would definitely be Wanxia."
"Sunset is suing us?" Zhao Shanshan almost laughed: "They're in deep trouble, yet they still care about us. That's amazing."
"They're getting anxious, they're starting to panic." Chen Tianyi returned to his office and sat down even more leisurely to enjoy the moment: "They'll sue us, hahaha."
"Director, shall we attend the court hearing this afternoon?" Secretary Qin Fei felt something was amiss and had a bad feeling.
“Go, why not go?” Chen Tianyi came up with a new plan in three seconds: “Secretary, release the news that someone is going to sue us, and get those media companies to send reporters over.”
"Won't this make things too big of a deal?" the female secretary asked.
"Nine times out of ten, it's Sunset suing us. They're not afraid of making things worse, so why should we be afraid? And what are they suing us for?" It has to be said that Chen Tianyi, as the music director, really knows how to think fast.
In that instant, they knew they had to spread the word and get the media involved.
"Okay, I'll go spread the word right away."
"Don't say that Wanxia is suing us. Just be subtle. Those reporters are very smart. Even if you don't say it's Wanxia, they can still guess."
"Yes, Director."
...
A corner coffee shop.
Qin Yi looked at the court summons handed to him by two colleagues in court uniforms, feeling both distressed and panicked.
After watching the two comrades leave, he quickly ran upstairs to call his older sister.
"Sis, something bad has happened! The court has sent me a summons. Although they're trying their best to hide something, I can tell it's Wanxia suing me!"
On the phone: "Your brother is fine. It's not just you who's been sued; our director and Shanshan have also been sued."
Hearing his sister's words, Qin Yi breathed a sigh of relief. It turned out he wasn't the only one being prosecuted: "Then... does Wanxia know something?"
Qin Fei: "Were the things you did before clean?"
Qin Yi: "It was absolutely clean and left no evidence. Even the payment was made in cash, with no transfer records."
Qin Fei: "As long as there are no problems on your end, don't worry. The director has already told me to spread the word. Just be at the court on time at noon. There will be a bunch of reporters interviewing you."
Qin Yi: "Okay."
After hanging up the phone, Qin Yi let out a long sigh of relief.
The worst thing about this kind of thing is being singled out and investigated.
But Wanxia sued even a high-ranking leader like the director, so she must have really gone to her wits' end.
Qin Yi wasn't worried about anything.
...
Yesterday's media.
Editorial Office.
Immediately after receiving the message from Qin Fei's secretary, a reporter named Gu Nianwei began reporting the situation to the editor.
The editor nodded after listening: "I've also received the news. I estimate that several competitors have already started to make moves. Nianwei, take a few colleagues and go to the Supreme People's Court to keep an eye on things. This is big news, and we can't miss it."
Although the message Qin Fei sent did not explicitly state who was suing Xingtu.
Anyone who isn't a fool can guess that the sunset is about to make its appearance.
"Okay." Gu Nianwei was eager to try.
"Gu Nianwei, the Supreme People's Court of Shanghai will be filing a lawsuit against you at 2:30 PM..."
Almost simultaneously, these people received summonses from the court.
This left Gu Nianwei somewhat bewildered: "Sue me? What does that have to do with me?"
The comrades did not answer, but took the summons and left.
Gu Nianwei was instantly amused: "This sunset... it's as disgusting as Li Zhaoyang, absolutely disgusting. Now I know how to write an article!"
Previously, Qin Yi asked her to write another article, and she was initially struggling with how to begin.
I have an idea now!
Title: Is a certain company making a last-ditch effort?
Content: [I received news today that a key figure at Starway was publicly sued, and the court hearing will be held on time at 2:30 pm in xxxx. This happened so suddenly, I'm sure you can all guess which company is suing Starway without me saying who it is;]
Here I want to say something: After the disgraced artist Li Zhaoyang released a song using the hype of his retirement from the entertainment industry, the Chinese Music Writers Association personally stepped in to end this public opinion incident. The company should have kept a low profile and finished the matter. The official organization helped you clean up the mess, so why do you still have to cause trouble?
Now they're even considering suing Starway, a fight to the death? For a company like this, decline is predictable; the only question is what other outrageous moves they'll pull next.
A simple article, yet it is extremely aggressive.
Both the overt and covert points to the sunset.
And it was all stated openly.
After all, even Li Zhaoyang's name was mentioned, so even a little kid would know which company was being referred to.
After publishing the article, Gu Nianwei put on a mask, said goodbye to the editor, and went out.
As for the lawsuit she was being sued, she wasn't worried at all.
This is the mental quality a journalist should have.
In the next half hour.
Zhang Lianfei, the guy with the headphones.
Huang Mao Cheng Tianjin.
The long-haired man, Di Shen, also received a court summons.
They were originally in the same group.
After receiving the summons, they all rushed to the group chat to complain.
