375. Please embark on your journey, twenty-five days later.

Like drumbeats rhythmically striking the ground, a series of rapid hoofbeats followed, indicating that people had finally arrived.

The sound grew closer and closer, like a herd of galloping horses charging towards them, powerful and breathtaking, and so urgent.

"If Lord He has something to attend to, you may leave to handle matters first. I will take care of things here. Please rest assured, sir, I will definitely give you justice." Suddenly, the clear voice of the man in black came.

There was a hint of anger and determination in his tone.

She glanced briefly at the man in black. Their eyes met, and her gaze was unmistakable.

She nodded slightly, "Okay." She smiled faintly, thinking to herself, "Don't disappoint me; disappointment is alright. If you do disappoint me, then just don't let me see you again."

With his gentleman's knife lightly at his waist, he strode forward, heading towards the sound of horses' hooves.

The sound of approaching hooves caused the ground to tremble slightly, the sound like ten thousand horses galloping, like a storm, irresistible.

Until, seeing the person coming from the opposite direction, a ray of rosy light pierced through the clouds and shone down, on the empty street, a solitary figure stood there.

It's as if a mountain peak stands tall in an endless plain, with a broadsword at its waist, ancient and simple, and a glance from it brings a chilling and sharp feeling to the soul.

The newcomers were not Commander Sun, but a group of soldiers, their bows and spears gleaming coldly, reflecting a dazzling light.

There were a hundred people, their eyes fixed on the lone figure, like a pack of wolves eyeing a solitary tiger, their sharp edges and readiness to strike at any moment.

The tense atmosphere was almost suffocating in the anxious air. The leader's eyes flashed, a moment of hesitation, and then he made up his mind.

In his heart, he thought, 'I cannot refuse Lord Wei's order. Nor do I want to refuse. I'm determined to secure this future.'

He loudly proclaimed the crimes, 'You brutally murdered officials and civilians in the street, and killed the entire Marquis's family. Your crimes are heinous and deserving of death. Guards, hack them to death!'

"Kill!" A unified shout rang out, its sound shaking the heavens.

With a rustling sound, the horn bow and arrow pierced the air, shooting He Chen swiftly and ruthlessly, each arrow a fatal blow.

Armed soldiers charged forward on horseback, their spears spurred on. Wherever their spears pointed, they were meant to kill. No mercy was shown.

A figure flashed, and the blade gleamed like a dragon. After the gentleman's blade slashed horizontally, two heads flew up. With a flash of light, the two men were cut in half at the waist, and blood splattered, soaking the horses.

The terrifying impact carried the headless corpse and half of it three zhang away before it landed with a thud, soaking the blue bricks of the ground.

Figures and blades moved like whirlwinds, sweeping across the road in a straight line. Every collision resulted in flashes of blood and endless bleeding.

Heads flew through the air, or were severed in two at the waist. Limbs flew everywhere, staining the ground and walls red.

The knife is like the scythe of death, severing lives one by one.

Upon reaching the leader's core, his sword energy surged, and his strike was like a mountain collapsing and the earth splitting apart. It was like a slap across the head.

The blade flashed like a tornado, like a storm, swift and imperceptible, leaving no time to react. My head was spinning rapidly above my neck, like a spinning top.

Then, it shot into the sky, but ultimately could not withstand the force and broke off. With another swift stroke, as fast as lightning, it cleaved the decapitated corpse in two.

The horse beneath him was so frightened that it galloped away, and after three steps, its two legs fell to the ground with a thud.

The remaining dozen or so were a step too slow. Now, looking at their dead general, they stood silently, unsure of what to do.

"Go forward and you will die; retreat," the general ordered. And the general? He had already been cut into three pieces.

They involuntarily retreated to one side.

The man in black suddenly appeared before them, his deep voice filled with barely concealed anger. Looking at the remaining dozen or so people, he said in an unquestionable tone, "Whose orders are you on? Whose orders are you here?"

The leader, a minor gang leader, was trembling with fear as he gripped his gun. His body was like a taut bowstring, and he could clearly hear his heart pounding in his chest. His breathing was rapid, and he was incredibly nervous.

Upon hearing a voice that sounded like that of a savior, someone quickly stammered, "It must be Patriarch Wei. Patriarch Wei personally came looking for our general, and then we received orders from the general to come and arrest him."

Then, feeling resentful and angered that he had sent his men to their deaths, he suddenly realized as if he had remembered something important!

His eyes gleamed as he continued, "When we set out, Lord Wei was still waiting for the general's return. He's probably still waiting for us to capture the man and bring him back."

The man in black sensed something was wrong after hearing this. He was just about to speak.

The minor leader in front of them had vanished, and a cold snort echoed in their ears, "You clean up this mess."

Just as the man in black was about to leave, his face contorted with embarrassment and anger, a rare expression flickering across his face. He gritted his teeth and shouted, "Men, guard this place! No one is allowed to enter!"

Anyone who dares to disobey will be killed!

"Yes, sir." Suddenly, two people appeared behind him, dressed in black and carrying knives. The surrounding air fell silent.

The man in black looked on, pondered for a moment, and was filled with resentment that he could not shake. With a forceful stomp of his foot, the bluestone pavement crumbled into dust.

Seeing the adult in disarray before them, the two men in black seemed oblivious and silently disappeared.

The man in black stared at the scene for the time it takes to drink a cup of tea, then spoke in a low voice to the few remaining surviving soldiers, 'Guard this place. Do not leave without my orders, or you will meet the same fate as this brick.'

The remaining soldiers remained silent. One of them cautiously said, "Yes, yes, sir. We will not leave your side."

He breathed a sigh of relief; at least he had survived. Looking at his dead comrades and the deputy general, he was filled with remorse. 'For his own future, he disregarded the lives of his brothers. Bah!'

Elder Meng searched the Marquis's mansion quickly. At this moment, the servants with any sense were secretly packing up some valuables and quietly leaving.

The vast mansion was now filled with the chaotic sound of footsteps.

Suddenly, someone shouted, "Kill him! Kill this scoundrel! He's using his connections to embezzle our wages!"

A scream rang out, "You lowly wretch, how dare you steal from your master's property! You will all be beaten to death!"

"Pah! You scoundrel who bullies others! If you weren't from the same family as me, I would have beaten you to death long ago."

"Hurry up, hurry up, we're leaving soon, let's go!"

A thud of stones and sticks followed, and the screams grew weaker and weaker.

Then a voice exclaimed, "There's a well here!"
