Chapter 210 Apologizing to Lin Han (2/2)

Gu Hong didn't take it seriously; she didn't think a junior could really do anything to her.
Xiaoya was very uneasy. She was worried that if things got too tense, it would make arranging her work more difficult. So, she gently tugged at Gu Hong's sleeve, signaling her to soften her stance a little.
"Grandma, why don't we just let it go? Just apologize to your sister-in-law and don't make things too awkward for everyone." Xiaoya's voice carried a hint of pleading.
However, Gu Hong scoffed at Xiao Ya's suggestion, angrily cursing, "You heartless ingrate! You're actually siding with outsiders instead of your own grandmother!"
Xiaoya was immediately in a dilemma. She knew that Gu Hong was her biological grandmother, but her grandmother couldn't help her solve her job problem. In this situation, Xiaoya would naturally be more inclined to rely on someone who could actually help her.
"Grandma, just apologize. It's not a big deal," Xiaoya continued to persuade, hoping to calm things down.
However, Gu Hong was absolutely unwilling to compromise. She felt that as an elder, how could she possibly apologize to a junior? It was simply absurd!
"Don't even think about it! You're dreaming! You want me to apologize to an outsider? No way! If my cousin finds out, you'll be in big trouble!" Gu Hong's attitude was unusually firm, showing no intention of backing down.
Gu Huaiming was passing by the door when he heard a commotion coming from Lin Han and Gu Qizheng's room. He knocked on the door and went in to see what was going on.
When Gu Hong saw him arrive, it was as if she had seen a savior, and she felt even more confident.
“Nephew, you need to discipline your son and daughter-in-law. They are absolutely lawless. How dare they make me, an elder, apologize to a junior? If word gets out, people will laugh their heads off and say that the Gu family is ill-mannered and bullies the elderly.”
Gu Huaiming frowned and asked Gu Qizheng.
"What happened?"
Gu Qizheng told Gu Huaiming what Gu Hong had just said about Lin Han.
Gu Huaiming's expression turned even uglier.
Gu Hong thought Gu Huaiming was angry that the two juniors had bullied her, and arrogantly looked at Lin Han with a sidelong glance.
"Hmph, now you know fear, huh? Where did your arrogance go? Go ahead and say more if you dare. Weren't you so good at talking?"
"Let's see if your father-in-law will discipline you."
She had just finished feeling smug when she heard Gu Huaiming speak in a rather unpleasant tone.
"Aunt, you need to apologize to Hanhan. You were really in the wrong. How could you talk about her parents like that?"
Lin Han lost her mother at a young age, which pained the Gu family deeply. They usually dared not mention her parents in front of her, for fear of upsetting her.
As a result, Gu Hong immediately said that Lin Han's parents had not raised her well and that she was ill-mannered.
Isn't this like stabbing someone in the chest?
Gu Hong looked at Gu Huaiming in disbelief.
"What did you say? You want me to apologize to her too? Your family is completely lawless. I'm going to tell my brother and see how he deals with you."
As she spoke, Gu Hong went downstairs, while Xiao Ya remained somewhat awkwardly in Lin Han's room.
Gu Huaiming offered some apologetic words of comfort to Lin Han.
"Hanhan, don't worry, Dad will definitely not let you be bullied, and neither will Grandpa. If your great-aunt does anything that makes you uncomfortable, just tell us, and Dad, Mom, Grandpa, and Grandma will all be on your side."
