Lin Han's period was a week late. She used to have a very regular period every month, so she didn't know what was wrong this time.

She woke up late in the morning, feeling extremely tired and sleepy. She thought it must be because Huo Qizheng had been too rough with her the night before, leaving her with no energy for anything during the day.

After having lunch in the space, Lin Han went for a walk and saw Wang Shufang's mother-in-law and Yao Meina's mother-in-law chatting together.

“My daughter Yao Meina is a barren hen, so I’ve been brewing a folk remedy for her to drink these past few days.”

"What kind of folk remedy?"

Yao Meina's mother-in-law looked around mysteriously, and when she saw Lin Han coming this way, she immediately shut her mouth.

"If I don't tell anyone, what if someone else learns our secret and gets pregnant before us?"

After being taught a lesson by Lin Han last time, Yao Meina's mother-in-law no longer dares to provoke Lin Han directly, but she openly and secretly compares her daughter-in-law with Lin Han, trying to find some sense of superiority.

If Yao Meina could get pregnant before Lin Han, let's see how arrogant Lin Han can still be.

She told Yao Meina yesterday that if Lin Han next door is pregnant and she isn't, she'll have her son divorce her.

Grandma Wang Shufang didn't dare to say a word when she saw Lin Han. She hugged her eldest grandson and turned her face away to watch the cicadas.

Lin Han was too lazy to argue with the two old women, so she passed by them and went to Sister Wang's house.

Sister Wang is off today and is tending to her vegetable garden at home.

After Lin Han arrived, she brought Lin Han a small stool and let her sit on the edge of the field to talk to her.

"Lin Meizi, I'll pick some vegetables for you to take back. The tomatoes, green beans, and eggplants I planted are ready to eat. You can ask Huo Tuan to cook them for you tonight."

Lin Han wasn't interested in the vegetables; instead, she took a liking to the green apricots growing in Sister Wang's garden.

She stood up, picked a few, washed them under the tap, and put them in her mouth. The sour and astringent taste made her mouth water, but she couldn't help wanting to eat them.

When Sister Wang saw Lin Han eating green apricots, she felt her teeth were about to crumble from the sourness.

"Lin, aren't you sour? Why are you eating that stuff? If you want some, I'll pick some plums for you."

Lin Han thought the taste was just right, a pleasantly sour flavor.

"It's okay, I just like eating this. Pick some for me to take back with me when you leave."

Sister Wang smiled as she looked at Lin Han.

"You're not pregnant, are you? When I was pregnant, I also craved sour foods, and I would pick and eat unripe fruits."

You were just like me back then.

Lin Han paused in her action of biting into the apricot.

"No way?"

She wasn't entirely sure either.

Thinking of this, she stood up and walked home. "Sister Wang, I'm going home now. I'll come back to chat with you another day."

She needs Fangfang to send her a pregnancy test; she's been neglecting her health ever since she forgot to take her medication last time.

During this time, Huo Qizheng has been very persistent in pursuing her, so it's not impossible that she's pregnant.

Under the blazing sun, Lin Han broke out in a light sweat as she walked back, feeling a little dizzy from the heat.

Before I even reached my doorstep, everything suddenly went black and I fainted.

Her family members, who were resting in the shade of a tree, rushed to help her when they saw this.

"Oh, isn't this Commander Huo's wife? Someone go and inform Commander Huo!"

Huo Qizheng was doing a task on the training field when Liu Jiang ran over.

"Commander Huo, something terrible has happened! Your sister-in-law has fainted."

"What?"
