“If you don’t want this child to die, step back.”

The security personnel realized the woman's intention: she wanted to jump out of the car.

The train is currently passing through farmland, and there's a pile of straw under the tracks, so falling in won't kill you.

The tracks were flanked by sorghum fields taller than a person; if enemy agents hid there, catching her would be like finding a needle in a haystack.

The security personnel exchanged glances and then lunged at the woman.

In a moment of desperation, the woman stabbed Baogen in the shoulder, then leaped out of the window, shattering the glass.

"Oh no, she jumped out of the car."

Just as the woman's body was completely out of the car window, a hand suddenly reached out from the roof and grabbed her.

No one knew when Lin Han got onto the roof of the car; she just held onto the woman tightly with one hand, preventing her from escaping.

Seeing this, the national security personnel rushed to help, and together they dragged the woman in through the window.

"Comrade Lin, this arrest mission owes a lot to you. If it weren't for your quick thinking and nimble hands in catching the enemy agent who jumped out of the window, we don't know when we would have been able to bring these two people to justice."

Lin Han waved his hand and took out a crumpled ball of oil paper from his pocket, handing it to the national security staff.

“I suspect there are other accomplices on the train. This is what the woman threw under the seats in the carriage.”

The national security personnel unfolded the oil paper still covered with biscuit crumbs, and their expressions turned serious.

He couldn't reveal too many details to Lin Han, so he put the oil paper away.

"Comrade Lin, leave the rest to us. Thank you again for your help."

The state security personnel wanted to keep Lin Han's personal information, but the only things she had to prove her identity were a marriage certificate and a letter of introduction.

"Qingzhou Eastern Theater Command? Are you a military dependent?"

Lin Han was too embarrassed to admit it, because she was going there to get a divorce from Huo Qizheng, so she wasn't considered a military dependent in the true sense.

After the matter was settled, Lin Han returned to the carriage she had been in.

Baogen was stabbed by that woman and has been taken away by the train police. They plan to send him to the nearest hospital after the train stops at the next station.

With that noisy brat gone, everyone in the carriage had a much quieter time.

The train stopped at Qingzhou Port Railway Station on the afternoon of the second day.

Lin Han got off the bus carrying a small bag.

There was no navigation at that time, so she could only ask the staff how to get to the military region.

"Hello comrade, I'd like to ask where I can find a bus to the Qingzhou Military Region?"

The train station staff gave Lin Han a wary look.

What are you going to the military region for?

After Lin Han showed the staff member the letter of introduction, the staff member led her to the office.

“Someone from the military region is here on business today. I’ll go and tell them for you, and see if I can give you a ride.”

"Okay, thank you, comrade."

Lin Han followed the staff to the leader's office, where two men in military uniforms were sitting.

When the staff explained Lin Han's situation to the other party, the other party looked in her direction.

"Coming to the military unit to accompany someone? Whose family member are they?"

Lin Han peeked out from behind the staff member, "Huo Qizheng."

"Huo...Deputy Commander Huo?"
