After Yunxi got home, she was too lazy to cook dinner, so she just took out the food she had prepared in advance and ate it.

For some reason, I always feel like I can't sit still. After eating, I originally thought I would sit on a stool and rest for a while.

But looking at the five wolf corpses in the space and the ten quails in the basket, I felt that I couldn't calm down until I properly settled them.

Finally, Yunxi got up from the stool, intending to finish her work before taking a proper rest.

I first went to look at the room on the far right. It was filled with useless things and had a messy feel to it.

Fortunately, this era was already very tough, so even if there were useless things, there weren't many of them, and most of them were still usable if you picked them out.

The rest were simply placed in the right-hand side room. Since those two rooms are only used occasionally, it's fine to just put them in the outermost room.

Anything else that I didn't really want, I simply put into my spatial storage, planning to burn it when I needed to start a fire—a way of making use of waste.

I just feel that the house is a bit too big. It's at least forty square meters. It's such a waste to keep only ten quails in such a big house. It's such a pity.

After thinking it over, I decided to nail together a box and a shelf for them, and then keep them on the shelf. When there are more quails, I can put more boxes on the shelf.

After making up her mind, Yunxi immediately started looking for tools and picked out some of the long branches in the space that could originally be used as firewood.

Since it was my first time making this kind of box, it didn't look very good, but I felt that as long as it worked, that was fine. It took me an hour to finally finish it.

Don't worry about them suffocating; there's even a door for them to put in water and food. If you're collecting eggs, you can even reach through this small door to pick them up.

Although it still looks pretty ugly, I managed to make it little by little myself, so it's quite satisfying.

I stuffed the quails out of the basket into the bowl, took an old bowl, filled it with some water, and threw in some broken rice mixed with vegetables.

We're only feeding them so well because they're new here. Once they're more used to it, feeding them some wild vegetables shouldn't be a problem.

After settling everything in, Yunxi finally felt comfortable sitting on the bench in the corridor. She leaned back in her chair, closed her eyes, and focused her mental energy on the space around her.

Looking at the five blood-soaked wolves in the space, I can say that I've preserved them remarkably well.

I used my mental power to dissect them, put the dirty stuff in a corner, and left the rest alone.

Anyway, I'm not thinking of eating their meat for the time being. It probably wouldn't taste very good anyway. In my memory, these things are particularly tough. Since I don't lack meat, I'll just leave them in the pot.

She sat for about half an hour, but even though she sat for that long, she didn't know what she was thinking about. It was as if she was just spacing out.

It was already quite late, and most of the villagers were asleep.

Yunxi got up from the stool because she hadn't had a proper look at the new book that had just been released today.

Then I realized that I hadn't showered yet. I had gone up the mountain today, and my clothes were stained with blood. Just thinking about it made me feel like I couldn't take it anymore.

I don't know how I overlooked it; it's been so long before I remembered that I was all dirty.

I took out hot water from the space and took two good showers. I not only washed my body but also my hair. I finally felt clean.

After washing my hair and making sure it wasn't dripping wet, I went straight into the house.

I sat down on the stool next to the desk, took out the new books that were distributed today, and prepared to take a good look at them.

Because it was too late, Yunxi didn't focus on reading a specific book. Instead, she read about ten pages of each book to get a general impression and a basic understanding of the knowledge within, before putting the books back.

When it was time to go to sleep, it was completely silent outside. Apart from the croaking of frogs, there was no other sound.

Yunxi glanced at the time on her watch and was surprised to find that it was almost midnight. She quickly took off her clothes and crawled into bed.

She hadn't forgotten that she had to go to school tomorrow; today had passed by so quickly, she had gotten so engrossed in reading.

I reminded myself that I shouldn't watch for so long next time.

Yunxi felt that she might not be used to school life yet, since she used to go to bed almost every day and it had become a habit.

I only feel sleepy at this time of day.

Although I went to bed very late, I still woke up at my usual wake-up time the next day. It seems I've developed a biological clock and will wake up at that time.

After getting up, I quickly washed up, then did the chores in the yard and took out the things to dry. Only then did I carry my schoolbag and hurriedly leave home.

When she left, Yunxi checked the time. Fortunately, it wasn't late at all, only a little past six o'clock. Even if she walked for an hour, she would still have enough time to get to school at eight.

I grabbed breakfast on the way.

Surprisingly, just as I was about to arrive at the school, I saw Li Xingtang standing at the school gate, looking in my direction with a longing expression.

He paused for a moment, then pretended to be nonchalant and walked into the campus.

It wasn't that Yunxi was narcissistic, but she felt that Li Xingtang was waiting for her. Anyone with eyes could see the longing look in his eyes as he stared at her.

Li Xingtang didn't know why he was waiting here. He left home early and didn't go in after arriving at the school. He stood there like a wooden stake at the gate.

Upon seeing Yunxi, he understood why he had been waiting there so early.

It's probably so that he can see her as soon as possible, even if she ignores him.

Although I felt a little sad, it seemed like I got used to it and didn't feel so bad anymore.

I followed Yunxi into the classroom.

Seeing Yunxi enter the classroom, he immediately took out his books to read without going over to talk to her. He took out the books from his schoolbag and obediently started reading.
