If we were still a tree, which animal would dare to run wild under its shade?

We could easily crush them, but we can't do that now.

There's an unseen feeling that I shouldn't commit murder, because if I do, I'll never have another chance.

Although she didn't know what the opportunity was, she felt it must be something very important, so she subconsciously restrained herself when she took action, only giving the opponent a small lesson.

Yunxi knew from the little girl's memory that it had rained a couple of days ago, so there was a kind of mushroom that could be picked. Those mushrooms could be used to cook, or they could be dried and kept for winter.

The little girl doesn't usually dare to go up the mountain to pick mushrooms. She only dares to pick one or two kinds that people usually eat because she doesn't recognize them and is worried that they might be poisonous.

Yunxi wasn't afraid at all. She was originally a plant spirit, so it was too easy for her to tell whether something was poisonous or not.

She searched everywhere for food along the way. She didn't know why, but she had a strong urge to stock up. There were too few things in her original space, which made her feel insecure.

When she was still a peach tree, she didn't feel anything, since she didn't need to eat anything; she could just live on dew and wind.

But I didn't expect that I would need to eat now. In order not to go hungry in the future, I can only store more things in my space.

To be honest, Yunxi has a pretty good sense of direction when it comes to finding things. Maybe it's because the plants have become spirits, but she's very good at finding edible things like mushrooms and wood ear fungus.

It took her about half an hour to gather a small pile of mushrooms and wood ear fungus in the space. There were all kinds of mushrooms, and as long as they weren't poisonous, she collected them all.

Yunxi felt that she had been on the mountain for so long, it was about time to come down.

I figured everyone else must be carrying a full basket of pig feed to the pig farm, so I couldn't fall behind.

As I was about to leave, I suddenly spotted a pheasant in the distance. The pheasant was huddled in its nest, and I couldn't tell if it was laying eggs or what.

Yunxi subconsciously urged the vines beside her to grow, and tied the pheasant up tightly.

After I finished tying it up, I realized how puzzling it was that I had caught that pheasant.

Then I thought about it for a moment and instantly knew that this thing was edible, and especially delicious.

In my memory, this stuff tasted especially delicious when I ate it; just thinking about it makes my mouth water.

Yunxi subconsciously touched her chin. Luckily, she wasn't that embarrassed. Otherwise, if a thousand-year-old monster were drooling, she would really have no face to see so many tree sisters on the mountain.

Although she is only a 14-year-old girl, it doesn't stop her from having that old-fashioned mentality.

Knowing that the thing was particularly delicious, she wouldn't let it go. She directly twisted its neck off with vines and then put it into her space.

On the way down the mountain, they encountered a rabbit. Yunxi knew that rabbits lived in litters, so she used vines to strike their burrow and wiped out the entire litter in one fell swoop.

As a tree, she had never eaten this meat because she didn't have a mouth and wasn't allowed to. But now that she's become a human, she can't let it pass her by; she must try human food to see if it tastes good.

Yunxi kept walking down the mountain road, and when she saw that she was almost at the foot of the mountain, she quickly stuffed the entire basket with pig feed, trying to fill it as much as possible, because she didn't feel that it was very heavy when she carried it on her back.

Yunxi no longer doubts anything. She believes that the changes are definitely brought about by her soul entering her body, and she can now maintain a calm mind and no longer be easily startled.

Following the little girl's memory, we arrived at the pig farm, where people were already arriving one after another to deliver pig feed.

They simply ignored Yunxi. Children's minds aren't that complicated. As long as adults don't say anything in front of them, they won't unintentionally say things that hurt their feelings.

The pregnant women and elderly people with their big bellies only glanced at Yunxi with pity before turning their heads away.

They are too busy managing their own family affairs to care about anything else, let alone meddling in other people's business.

This attitude was the most comfortable for Yunxi, making her feel more relaxed and allowing her to take in other things.

The pig farm was quite large, with about twenty or thirty pigs. She had originally planned to slaughter the pigs in winter so that she could have plenty of meat to eat, but then she suddenly remembered that a portion of the pigs' meat had to be handed over to the government, and only the remaining meat would be distributed among everyone.

His expression instantly darkened; he felt as if the things on his territory didn't belong to him, but rather to someone else.

If it were still during the time when the peach tree spirit was around, and someone were to steal something from their territory, they would be whipped until their skin was torn and bleeding.

But now that I'm a human being, I can't be like that. I feel that even humans have times when they feel frustrated.

Grandma Cheng, the wife of Sixth Grandpa, was helping everyone record their work points.

Grandma Huang, Grandpa's wife, was also there. Judging from her appearance, she was probably picking through the pig feed to see if any of the children had cut the wrong feed.

Pick out the grass that is inedible and will cause diarrhea or poisoning to pigs, and only record the work points after confirming that there are no problems.

However, each basket must meet the weight requirement to be considered full and to earn the two work points.

As Yunxi watched Grandma Huang carefully selecting the herbs, a sudden unease struck her. It seemed that all the herbs she had picked were small vines, and she had no idea whether any of them were inedible.

I simply dumped the grass on an open ground to the side for the time being, and after roughly checking it apart, I breathed a sigh of relief when I saw that there was no grass that pigs couldn't eat.

If those pigs get sick from eating them, I can't take responsibility.

That's the source of meat for the whole village during the Lunar New Year, it's terrifying.

Quickly put all the pig feed into the basket. Soon it was Yunxi's turn. Grandma Huang first checked it over to make sure there were no problems, then weighed it in her hand to make sure the weight was enough, and then asked Grandma Cheng to record the work points.

"Yunxi, be careful when you go up the mountain. If you see anyone with ill intentions, walk away quickly. Don't play with those who have bad intentions, or they will lead you astray."

Grandma Huang's words made Yunxi feel embarrassed, but she still nodded obediently, then picked up her basket and hurried up the mountain.

The original Yunxi should have been a very well-behaved person who was also an excellent student. Anyone would have thought that if a conflict arose, Yunxi would be the one who would suffer.
