When Lu Qinglang went to deliver food to his older brother, his older sister hadn't returned yet, so when he came back and saw that his older sister had come back, he was really pleasantly surprised.

I originally wanted to run back and tell my older brother not to work overtime, but I was caught and brought back.

"Lu Qinglang, where are you going?" Lu Zhiheng, quick-witted and agile, grabbed the little brat by the collar and looked at his son with a serious expression.

“Go find your older brother! Didn’t your older sister come back? Aren’t you going to tell your older brother?” Lu Qinglang looked at his father, who was grabbing his collar, with a puzzled expression.

“Your older brother has something important to do tonight, so don’t bother him. Don’t worry, he’ll be back when it’s time…” Lu Zhiheng finally had some time alone with his daughter, and he was thinking of asking her about the current situation over there. He also wanted to ask her what it was like when she went abroad.

After dinner, the father and daughter strolled around the yard to digest their food. Lu Zhiheng began to inquire about things outside, especially abroad, wanting to know whether it was stronger or weaker than his own country.

"Dad, I think it's better if you don't listen, so you don't get upset. Things here are not like they are outside now." He Caiwei felt that her words were already very tactful, but it seemed that she still hurt her father's heart.

"I know we can't keep up. Oh well, let's not talk about it anymore. We'll just work harder in the future. I refuse to believe that we can't catch up in 10 or 20 years, let alone 30 or 40 years. We have to keep working hard. There will always be a day when we catch up." After comforting himself, Lu Zhiheng went back to find his wife.

He Caiwei stood alone in the courtyard, bewildered in the wind. Who could comfort themselves so quickly? She had just been so worried. They were just playing with her.

Just as she was feeling bewildered, she heard the door being pushed open. Turning around, she saw her brother. His bicycle had a briefcase hanging from it, and a delicate little box on the right side, which looked like it contained pastries.

"Brother, you're back! Push the bike in first, I'll go close the door." He Caiwei saw that her brother was going to park the bike and close the door first, so she quickly ran over, closed the door, and bolted it shut.

In the past, many people would still go out to cool off and stroll around after dark, but since things started to get a bit chaotic last month, everyone has been closing their doors and windows and not going out after dark.

"Weiwei, when did you get back? Why didn't you call? I could have picked you up at the train station." Lu Qingfeng didn't even bother with the briefcase and small box hanging on the handlebars when he saw his wife return.

With a long stride, he picked up his wife.

"I just got back, had dinner, chatted with Dad for a bit, and then drove myself back. I don't like the toilets on the train." He Caiwei was quite helpless as her brother picked her up. Why does her brother always treat her like a child?

"Why didn't Qinglang say anything when he brought me food... You little brat, you're deducting my candy this week..."

"Ouch... Big brother, you can't do this! Big sister wasn't back when I went there yet. Big brother, this is so unreasonable of you..." Little Lu Qinglang, who was eavesdropping behind the living room door, immediately protested when he heard that his candy for a week had been taken away. He let out a howl and rushed out of the living room.

When little Lu Qinghua saw her brother like that, she covered her mouth and chuckled to herself.

Lu Zhiheng was also laughing at his son. Anyone with eyes could see that his older brother was joking, but the little brat couldn't care less about anything else once he heard there was no candy.

Everyone was laughing when the little brat let out another howl, which startled Lu Zhiheng.

"You brat, what are you doing? Why are you so easily startled when you're little? Trying to scare your old man to death?" Lu Zhiheng gently kicked his son's butt. He had just been about to steal a kiss from his wife when the little rascal's shout startled him.

"Dad, what are you doing? I'm your own son... Look, look, my older brother is being a pervert..." Lu Qinglang rubbed his butt and pointed at the two people still in the yard, but before he could finish his sentence, his father covered his mouth and dragged him back into the house.

"What nonsense! What do you mean by being a hooligan? Can't you speak properly? That's your brother. Your older sister is your brother's little wife. What's wrong with kissing your own wife? It's not enough to deduct your candy for a week. You should deduct your snacks for a whole week. Your wife has locked up his snack cabinet. She won't be giving him any snacks for a week..." Lu Zhiheng bullied his son with great ease.

Poor little Lu Qinglang suddenly lost a week's worth of snacks and could only look pitifully at his mother, hoping she could be more democratic.

To his disappointment, when his father told him to lock up her snack cabinet, his mother actually smiled and nodded. Little Lu Qinglang let out a howl and ran straight back to his room, locked the door, and wouldn't let anyone in.

Anyway, his snack cabinet is in the room, so as long as he locks the door, his mother can't lock her cabinet since she can't get in.

Lu Qingfeng, holding his wife, easily freed one hand to pick up his briefcase and the small box hanging on the handlebars, then turned and went back to their own yard.

He Caiwei only had time to glance at Lu Qinglang with sympathy. The poor kid had lost a week's worth of snacks because of a few words. But she couldn't get down to defend him, so her brother simply carried her away.

"Brother, put me down, I can walk by myself..."

"No need, just hold me like this. I want to find someone to renovate the bathroom..." Lu Qingfeng had wanted to talk to his wife about the bathroom for a long time.

Ever since returning from the port city, he's been thinking about moving the bathroom into the bedroom so he and his wife can shower together...

"What do you want to change? It's fine as it is... and it won't bring dampness into the room. Brother, what do you want to do?" He Caiwei looked at her yard and then at the room. She thought the distance was okay, and both rooms had roofs, so she didn't need an umbrella when she took a shower in the rain. There was nothing that needed to be changed.

“Like the house we bought in Gangcheng before, we can move the bathroom inside. That way, we won’t be exposed to cold drafts when we go to the toilet or take a shower in winter.” Lu Qingfeng also felt that the winters here were too cold, damp and chilly, which was really hard to get used to, even though he had lived here for so many years.

Of course, he also had his own selfish reasons; it would be much more convenient to move the bathroom into the room.

“That’s fine too. You can discuss this with your dad. I think he’ll agree.” He Caiwei felt that she should talk to her dad about this kind of thing.

“Okay, as long as you agree, I’ll go talk to Dad about it. But we can only start construction after my current project is finished. I haven’t drawn the plans yet. I’ll show them to you when I’m done.” Lu Qingfeng saw that she nodded in agreement and began to plan when to start drawing the plans.
