The path down the mountain was steep, and Jiang Yujin walked very slowly. Jiang Mo, who was leading the way, always had to stop and turn back to wait for him.
The yellow mud from the rain clung tightly to the soles of his shoes, making his sneakers, which he had only worn a few times, filthy. As he walked, Jiang Yujin rubbed himself against the wild grass beside him. He was a clean person, and the mud left on the soles of his shoes made him feel uncomfortable and uneasy.
"Let me carry you on my back, Xiaojin," Jiang Mo said, unable to bear watching any longer, as he approached.
“I don’t have any broken arms or legs, I can walk by myself.” Jiang Yujin didn’t understand why she suddenly said she wanted to carry him.
Jiang Mo said truthfully, "At this rate, it will be dark before we get down the mountain."
Jiang Yujin wasn't used to walking on mountain roads, so it was normal for her to be slow. However, it was unsafe in the mountains after dark, so she had to prioritize her safety.
The two remained locked in a stalemate for a few minutes before continuing to walk one after the other.
Jiang Yujin walked slower and slower. When he finally reached the bottom of the mountain, walking was not as easy as when he was climbing up, and his posture was also strange.
It took half an hour to get up the mountain, but a full hour to walk down to the bottom.
What's wrong with your foot?
"No, let's keep going, Jiang Mo."
The alpha seemed to finally realize that something was wrong with him, and without saying a word, squatted down and touched the omega's swollen ankle.
"Doesn't it hurt?" Jiang Mo's grip was light, merely to check the extent of the injury.
"Ouch! Ouch! Wait, wait!"
Jiang Yujin had barely finished saying that he hadn't broken any hands or feet when he stepped into a naturally formed ditch and twisted his right ankle.
To save face, he kept quiet until his tense nerves relaxed down the mountain, and he gave himself away when Jiang Mo turned around.
"I'll carry you on my back."
Jiang Mo half-squatted down and let him lie on his back. Jiang Yujin's feet were in obvious pain, and he couldn't walk.
"It's so heavy."
As soon as Jiang Yujin lay down, he heard Jiang Moming's blatant complaint.
Jiang Yujin: "..." Couldn't you have said it in private? Why did you have to say he was heavy in front of him?
“Jiang Mo, it was you who said you would carry me,” Jiang Yujin reminded him.
"I said it, both sentences."
"Don't move around. The hospital is quite a distance from town. Buy some medicated wine on the way back and apply it."
My foot was still hurting, and Jiang Mo's words in my ear were even more annoying.
Jiang Yujin dared not move, gripping Jiang Mo's shoulders tightly for fear that Jiang Mo would drop him, which would be a loss.
Maintaining this position was not easy either; the two were separated by a pillow, and Jiang Yujin kept saying that they should avoid suspicion.
"You like your boyfriend that much?" Jiang Mo bounced slightly, and the omega behind her, who had been resisting, leaned back onto her due to inertia.
Smooth and effortless.
"We broke up. I was the one who initiated it."
"Why? Is she treating you badly?"
"No."
Jiang Yujin raised her little face high, very proudly, "I got tired of playing with her and didn't like her anymore. She shamelessly came to beg for reconciliation, but I didn't agree."
There are so many S-class alphas, it's not like Liang Dongmo is the only one. He's so good, I can't hang myself on the same tree. Besides, Jiang Yujin wouldn't tell her those embarrassing things.
Jiang Mo nodded thoughtfully, "But you took her home for the night, didn't you, Xiao Jin?"
Bringing strangers home without informing the homeowner, and then concealing it and lying about it.
The omega's smug smile vanished, and she pretended to grab Jiang Mo by the neck, threateningly saying, "Jiang Mo, I never expected you to be this kind of person. You actually secretly spyed on me?!"
Knowing his little secret, I'll silence him.
How can a child's playful threat be considered a threat?
"That was too loud. Be quieter next time," Jiang Mo said, keeping his eyes fixed on the road ahead.
Upon hearing this, Jiang Yujin blushed deeply with embarrassment and remained silent. Fortunately, there were few people on the road.
The run-down little pharmacy had everything. Jiang Mo bought a bottle of medicinal wine and was about to help him take off his shoes and socks when Jiang Yujin quickly pulled his injured foot back. "I don't want to take off my shoes and socks outside. Let's apply it when we get back. Can I apply it myself when we get back? Jiang Mo, it's okay if it takes a little while."
They hadn't had dinner yet when Jiang Yujin smelled the delicious aroma coming from a barbecue stall not far away.
"Let's eat first. Shall we pack some to take home? Bring it up."
"Uh-huh."
-
"Eat this, I'll apply the medicine for you first."
On the table were the food they had packed back. Jiang Yujin held a half-eaten lamb skewer he had bought from a barbecue stall. The meat was firm and the cumin sprinkled on it was just right.
Jiang Mo wanted to apply medicine to him, so he naturally let her do as she pleased.
Just as he started applying the medicine, Jiang Yujin suddenly screamed, managing to keep from kicking Jiang Mo, who was diligently applying the medicine to him.
Ouch, ouch, ouch! Ouch, ouch, ouch! Ouch, ouch, ouch!
"It will only get better if you massage it, so please bear with it a little longer, Ozu."
Jiang Mo couldn't hide the smile in his eyes, especially when he saw his distorted expression, he found it inexplicably funny.
"Were you laughing at me just now?" Jiang Yujin stopped her from touching his feet and waved his bare foot in the air after taking off one shoe.
Jiang Mo: "...Stop. Moving your feet around won't help. You can't go out; you'll just have to stay in this room and keep the cockroaches company."
As soon as he said it, Jiang Yujin immediately straightened his posture and fell silent.
Having slept too hastily yesterday, Jiang Yujin lay on the bed again, increasingly dissatisfied with his accommodation. The bed was small and not soft, and the bathroom was tiny, with no bathtub and only a shower.
"Jiang Mo?" After he finished complaining, he found that Jiang Mo had actually fallen asleep.
That's incredibly disrespectful.
Jiang Yujin wanted to wake her up and go back to sleep, but then he thought about how hard Jiang Mo had worked carrying him all the way back, so he took pity on her and gave up the idea.
The two single beds are not far apart, separated by an aisle.
Jiang Yujin hopped on one foot to Jiang Mo's bedside and poked her face with her hand.
Is she really asleep?
"Pig? Jiang Mo, you fall asleep as soon as you say you're going to sleep." Jiang Yujin had never seen any alpha sleep as much as her, and her hands kept moving.
Jiang Mo happened to respond to his words while he was asleep, and in no time, the omega, who had no extra strength, was pulled into the warm bed.
Jiang Yujin was initially shocked, then heard Jiang Mo talking in his sleep: "Don't be disobedient, don't move around." He immediately understood; Jiang Mo had mistaken him for someone else.
He was terrified, it was a false alarm. Jiang Yujin almost thought that Jiang Mo had been coveting him for a long time. Pure friendship is rare between AOs, let alone them who are not related by blood.
Lying in Jiang Mo's arms, Jiang Yujin felt itchy all over. His sprained ankle made things inconvenient, so he only wiped his face briefly tonight. Otherwise, even though the weather was cold, Jiang Yujin would have taken a shower.
After struggling to break free from Jiang Mo's embrace with tremendous effort, Jiang Yujin truly felt that he was about to give up.
"He still has so much strength even when he's asleep."
Jiang Yujin rolled her eyes at her with practiced ease, then quickly nestled back into her single bed.
He fell asleep, but the alpha on the bed next to him, who was a master at pretending to be asleep, woke up again.
I helped him cover himself with the blanket that he had kicked off, and then focused my gaze on his right foot, which was red and swollen from the sprain.
