The sound that Xiaobai deliberately made shattered the enchanting yet dangerous atmosphere of the room.

A white shadow darted in from the outer room like a cannonball and scrambled onto the kang (a heated brick bed).

It was Little White who had been forgotten on the Eight Immortals Table!

It was terrified!

The atmosphere in the room is too dangerous! That bad man smells even more dangerous than when I slammed him on the ground last time!

This naughty fellow has taken away its sweet and soft owner again!

Little White's fur suddenly bristled, becoming as fluffy as a large snowball, and its Stardust Stream tail swung like a small windmill.

Using both its hands and feet, like a fearless knight charging into battle, it desperately squeezed into the gap between the two people who were pressed together, determined to use its furry little body to defend its master's innocence!

He exhaled a heavy, hot breath.

The raised hand ultimately didn't strike Xiaobai.

He just had a fleeting thought.

Xiao Bai, who was still desperately trying to squeeze in, thinking he had "successfully saved the emperor," vanished from the kang (a heated brick bed) without even making a sound.

He neatly and efficiently put it into his spatial storage.

Inside the space, Little White landed bewildered next to the mutated peach that it had previously nibbled on, looking around stupidly.

Huh? Where's the bad guy?

Where is the owner?

How did I get here?

The room fell silent again.

But that atmosphere that made one's legs weak and heart pound was ultimately broken by this little thing.

Ruan Tang relaxed completely, like a kitten just pulled out of the water, slumped limply on the wedding quilt, breathing in the hard-won air.

Looking at her terrified appearance, Yan Yu's eyes were filled with horrifying regret and lingering fear.

He almost... became inhuman just now.

He leaned down, his intimidating aura completely gone, and gently pressed his forehead against hers. His voice was hoarse and barely audible, revealing a sense of wretchedness after surviving a close call.

"I'm sorry, Tangtang," his voice tightened, and his arms around her trembled slightly, "I...I almost..."

Ruan Tang shook her head, reached out her still somewhat weak hand, and gently touched the cold sweat that had seeped from his forehead due to his restraint.

“Brother,” she said in a soft, affectionate voice, with a hint of relief at having just escaped a disaster, but with absolute clarity, “I love you.”

These three words are more effective than any magic pill.

The storm in Yan Yu's eyes gradually subsided, leaving only an overwhelming affection and a heartache that almost drowned him.

He didn't do anything else. He simply reached out and straightened her disheveled skirt, then pulled her, blanket and all, into his arms tightly, as if he wanted to embed her into his very bones.

"Go to sleep."

He kissed the top of her head, his voice low and solemn, like a vow made with all his might.

"Tangtang, I'm waiting for you..."
