Chapter 52 Something's Not Right (2/2)

Sweat beads gathered and slowly slid down his sharply defined jawline.
Finally, with a "plop," it dripped into the dust at his feet, leaving a small, dark, damp stain.
Ruan Tang's heart ached for no reason.
She stood up from the chair, tiptoed, and quietly walked behind the man.
She tiptoed, took out a small blue checkered handkerchief from her pocket, and carefully wiped the sweat from his forehead.
Her movements were very light and gentle.
As soon as Ruan Tang moved, Yan Yu's mental energy began to circulate with her. However, he did not expect that the little girl would come over to wipe his sweat. Under her gentle touch, the man's tall body suddenly stiffened.
His hand movements stopped abruptly, and he slowly turned around.
Those deep, icy eyes, which had just been filled with an unyielding chill, were now instantly ignited by a blazing flame.
His gaze was fixed on Ruan Tang's small face, which was so close to his own and filled with heartache.
The next second, he bent down.
His tall figure, radiating heat, completely enveloped her in his shadow.
He turned slightly to the side, deliberately avoiding his large, rusty hands, and gave a light peck, as a reward, to the soft lips that were still slightly swollen from his kisses.
The man's eyes and brows were filled with an irrepressible smile.
"Feeling sorry for me?"
His voice was deep and husky, with obvious pleasure, brushing against her eardrums like a feather.
Ruan Tang's cheeks burned under his gaze, and she muttered something under her breath.
"Are you tired? You're sweating a lot..."
Yan Yu's Adam's apple bobbed up and down, and a pleasant and satisfied chuckle escaped from his chest.
Instead of getting up, he lowered his head even further and gently, affectionately, rubbed his sweaty forehead against the handkerchief that still carried her body heat and faint fragrance.
Like a satiated, large beast, it is asserting its ownership.
The satisfaction in her movements made Ruan Tang's cheeks burn even hotter, almost to the point of ignition.
Only then did the man straighten up, satisfied.
Those deep eyes were filled to the brim, reflecting her own image.
The smile on his lips was almost overflowing.
"Stand back a bit, don't get dusty."
Only after seeing the little girl obediently sit back down in her chair did he turn back around.
This time, however, his movements were even faster.
The remaining scraps and wooden strips were quickly assembled and spliced in his hands, and soon a sturdy and stable "I"-shaped support was built.
He then picked up the two dismantled iron bucket handles, and with a gentle press of his two large, well-defined hands, flattened them. He then used his metal-based supernatural ability to quickly generate a steel shovel, drilled a round hole in the center, and created two simple yet perfectly neat pulleys. That was it.
Finally, he picked up a hollow iron pipe, and the golden light at his fingertips shone again.
Ruan Tang watched as the inner wall of the iron pipe became smoother than a mirror at a speed visible to the naked eye, quickly forming tiny ball bearing grooves.
In just a short while.
A strangely shaped machine, pieced together from various broken items, yet exuding a cold and precise feel, stood quietly in the center of the warehouse.
It's like a steel monster poised to pounce, ferocious and brimming with explosive power.
Ruan Tangxing's eyes widened, her small mouth slightly open, and she couldn't close it for a long time.
This was the first time she had ever witnessed so closely the entire process of creating a "magical artifact" from scratch.
Yan Yu casually patted the dust off his hands, turned around, and his deep gaze fell on Ruan Tang.
Seeing the little girl's bright eyes, filled with admiration, filled him with a sweet feeling.
The machine behind him, powerful enough to shake an entire era, was far less important to him than a single, astonished glance from her. (This chapter has been read. Please click to continue reading the next chapter!)
