But upon closer inspection, it seems that something... is hidden beneath the ice?

Yes, it's about feeling wronged!

It was a kind of resentment of being ignored and neglected by the master, which was clearly written in his eyes.

Ruan Tang felt a sudden tremor in her heart as she was stared at by his gaze, which was like that of a submissive wife.

The heat that had just subsided on my face suddenly surged back up.

She was simply curious about what was going on over there and wanted to see what was happening.

With Yan Yu blocking his way and staring at him like that, his desire to watch the show vanished instantly, replaced by a strange... guilty feeling.

She shrank back a little embarrassedly and quickly straightened her body.

Wait a minute, they have no relationship whatsoever, so why should I listen to him?

Just as Ruan Tang was about to continue watching the excitement, the round-faced girl standing in the aisle sat down, and the commotion over changing seats ended just like that.

The boy in the white shirt didn't even turn his head once, let alone say a word.

He seemed to be in a meditative state, oblivious to everything around him, focusing only on the receding scenery outside the window, radiating an icy aura that was even more unapproachable than Yan Yu's.

The sixteen or seventeen-year-old girl tried several times to get his attention, coughing and stomping her feet, but the boy was like a wooden stake, not reacting at all.

In the end, the girl's hopes were completely dashed.

Her face flushed red, her eyes reddened, and large tears rolled down her cheeks. She didn't dare to look at the boy in the white shirt anymore, and just sat down in the empty seat next to Lin Xiangnan with a wronged expression, her shoulders shaking and her sobbing softly.

Seeing this, Lin Xiangnan was at a loss. She wanted to say a few words of comfort, but she didn't know where to begin.

The other educated youth around them also had their own thoughts, with a hint of mischievous anticipation of watching a good show.

These days, when you're out and about, it's better to avoid trouble.

For a moment, the only sounds in the carriage besides the train's clanging and clattering were the girl's suppressed, soft sobs.

Ruan Tang secretly breathed a sigh of relief.

She was glad she hadn't actually craned her neck to look, otherwise Yan Yu would have caught her red-handed and given her a warning look.

Thinking of this, she secretly raised her eyes and quickly glanced at Yan Yu.

The faint smile at the corner of his mouth seemed to lift even more, and his deep eyes seemed to sparkle with starlight, carrying a subtle, almost imperceptible, pleasure belonging to a top predator.

Hmph, he's only happy because she's "obedient," isn't he?

Ruan Tang muttered to herself, but her cheeks involuntarily began to burn again.

Just then, Yan Yu made a move.

He stood up, said nothing, only glanced at Ruan Tang indifferently, and then strode towards the restroom at the junction of the carriages.

Ruan Tang was puzzled by his gaze and didn't know what he wanted to do.

About two or three minutes later, Yan Yu returned.

He held a neatly folded wet towel in his hand. The towel had obviously been soaked in cold water and still carried a slightly cool feel.

Yan Yu sat back down and handed her the towel.

Ruan Tang was stunned for a moment, then subconsciously took it.

The cool, damp touch from her fingertips instantly cleared her muddled thoughts. The train was crowded and the air was stagnant, making it quite stuffy.

"Wipe your face."

Yan Yu's voice was deep, carrying a hint of command that brooked no refusal, but upon closer listening, it seemed to conceal a subtle tenderness.

"Oh... thank you," Ruan Tang replied softly, unfolding a towel and gently wiping her cheeks and forehead. (This chapter has been read. Please click the next chapter to continue reading!)
