...
Haicheng Railway Station was bustling with noise.
In the waiting room, other educated youths going to the countryside were carrying large and small bags, bidding a reluctant farewell to their families who were seeing them off.
All around were sounds of various instructions and weeping.
"Take good care of yourself over there, and remember to write home!"
"Keep the money and tickets safe, don't lose them!"
"Waaaaah... Sister, I don't want you to leave..."
Ruan Tang, carrying a heavy suitcase, stood alone at the edge of the crowd, looking out of place.
Watching those families embracing and weeping, a certain part of her heart felt gently touched.
I wonder how my old man is doing, and if he misses me.
Since she could remember, she never went out with her father; she always had other fellow disciples around her, or at the very least, contracted spirit beasts and puppets to keep her company.
In the cultivation world, there are quite a few people like her who are surrounded by admirers, so Ruan Tang didn't feel that anything was different.
Only then did she realize that the road ahead was indeed lonely, because the puppet granny and the spirit pet were both inside the space, while she was the only one exposed to the wind and sun outside.
She missed home and her treasure-hunting mouse. At least the little guy could disguise himself as a squirrel, and maybe she could get it out to keep her company someday.
Thinking of this, Ruan Tang felt confident that she could do it again.
Having lived two lives, what kind of situation hasn't she seen?
Anyway, once you get to the countryside, there are plenty of animals in the mountains. As the little princess of the Beast Taming Sect, getting a pet is no problem for her.
The train whistled loudly and pulled into the station.
Ruan Tang carried the heavy suitcase and walked quickly towards the train door. Fortunately, the train ticket was delivered along with the departure notice. Otherwise, she would be getting the ticket now. Following these people with family members helping her, she was like a slippery fish, seemingly slow, but always able to accurately pass through the gaps in the crowded throng.
As she walked, she channeled the faint spiritual energy within her body, creating an invisible aura.
Enveloped in spiritual energy, she finally managed to squeeze onto the bus, and after much effort, she finally found her window seat.
She took a breath, weighed the suitcase in her hands, and prepared to lift it onto the luggage rack in one go.
Just as she stood on tiptoe and exerted force with her arms—
Just as he lifted the suitcase above his head, the weight in his hands suddenly felt lighter.
A large, well-defined hand reached out from her side, easily supporting the other end of the suitcase and steadily pushing it deep into the luggage rack.
The owner of that hand carried a familiar scent, a scent mixed with the warm, clean fragrance of sunlight.
Ruan Tang turned around, "Thank you..."
The word "thank you" got stuck in my throat halfway through, and I couldn't spit it out.
The man's tall figure almost completely blocked out the light above her head.
The white shirt accentuated her broad shoulders and muscular, narrow waist.
That face had distinct features and hard, cold lines.
A pair of deep eyes were looking at her calmly, but deep within them, there was a faint, almost imperceptible light.
What is he doing here?!
Who else could the man in front of her be but that scoundrel who hugged her by the moat and was then stomped on by her?
Yan Yu's heart skipped a beat as he looked at the young girl before him. He hadn't expected to run into the person he'd been searching for in Beijing, only to encounter her again while visiting his older sister and stopping by the countryside. This time, he was determined to keep a close eye on her! (This chapter has been read. Please click to continue reading the next chapter!)
