Chapter 181 Sticky Ye Shuyin
"Alright, it's getting late, let's continue tomorrow!"
Shen Nanzi was also tired. After struggling to make ends meet in the carriage for so many days, she could finally get a good night's sleep.
"Okay, go to sleep." He raised an eyebrow slightly, a hint of laziness in his expression, as he agreed with her.
Shen Nanzi ignored him and had her maid lead the way to the hot spring.
Stepping out of the room, Shen Nanzi saw a familiar figure in the courtyard.
Beside the flower bed in the middle of the courtyard, there is a landscaped rockery. He stands there, the moonlight falling on the ground, and he almost blends into the rockery.
If she hadn't come closer, she wouldn't have noticed at all.
These are the hidden guards, concealed in places that are not easily noticed, protecting their master at all times.
At first glance, it always gave her the wrong impression.
Broad shoulders, narrow waist, tall and slender, even in rough hermit-like attire, the resemblance is undeniable.
If she hadn't seen his face, Shen Nanzi would have really thought it was him.
Thinking of his death, Shen Nanzi only found it funny.
Like a long-brewing storm, finally drizzling down.
Utterly ridiculous!
She was just a hidden guard with a similar build, and without pausing her steps, she followed the maid to the hot spring.
Unbeknownst to them, the hidden guard's eyes held a hint of disappointment, and his gaze as he watched her go was filled with deep longing.
He only looked away from Shen Nanzi and gazed at her bedroom after she entered the hot spring room.
In the darkness, the candlelight flickered, emitting an orange glow.
When Shen Nanzi returned, the hidden guard was nowhere to be seen; he must have been moved to a different position.
Back in the room, Ye Shuyin was no longer there; only the lights were burning throughout the room.
He thought to himself: I thought he would stay and not leave! During the time they spent together, they were almost inseparable.
Back at Madam Xue's residence, he stayed by her side, thinking that she would definitely stay here to ask for a title, but unexpectedly she left obediently!
Shen Nanzi walked into the inner room and took off her outer robe. But when she turned around, she saw this scene.
On the carved bed, Ye Shuyin lay reclining, propping his head up with one hand, his black hair unbound, with a few strands falling onto his chest.
It made her face even more beautiful and alluring, with slightly raised eyebrows, a faint red tinge at the corners of her eyes, and pupils like water-soaked glass, clear and captivating.
With a high, straight nose and naturally rosy lips, even when slightly pursed, she exudes an innate allure.
The white, silver-patterned blouse was half-open, revealing the smooth lines of her shoulders and neck, her collarbones, and below, her well-defined abdominal muscles.
He was naturally beautiful, with his eyes half-closed, carrying a hint of languor, and his eyes revealing undisguised coquetry and blatant seduction.
Shen Nanzi was shocked. It turned out that she hadn't been wrong. He was even more persistent than she had imagined.
"What are you doing here?" she asked calmly, throwing his coat over him to cover his exposed skin.
"Didn't you say you were going to sleep?" He blinked like a kitten, his voice clingy, and subtly pulled open his outer shirt, revealing his firm chest muscles.
"Am I a good girl? I've washed up and I smell so good. Come here and smell me." He raised his arm, tugged at her sleeve, and begged her to go to the bed.
Shen Nanzi had never seen such a bewitching and fiery man before. Before she knew it, he had pulled her over and she had fallen into his arms.
The air is filled with a refreshing fragrance, a very pleasant floral scent.
The intense heat of his chest burned her palms, and Shen Nanzi felt a surge of warmth in her heart, then propped herself up.
With a helpless refusal, she said, "No, you can sleep in another room."
“I am your husband, how can you sleep in another room?” he questioned softly.
"It's fake." Shen Nanzi glared at him; this guy was really into acting.
"Zizi," he said in a low, husky voice, the last syllable rising slightly, like a feather brushing against the tip of one's heart, as he leaned forward slightly.
He leaned close to her, his warm breath brushing against her ear. "Since we're just pretending to be husband and wife, it's only natural that we sleep in the same bed. You can't expect me to stay in an empty bed until dawn, can you?"
"The servants in this house all know that I am your husband. If we sleep in separate rooms, wouldn't that arouse suspicion?"
"Besides, I also lost face. They felt I was out of favor, so they tripped me up and made things difficult for me. They will never look at me with respect again."
"Can you bear to see me looked down upon and bullied?"
He leaned over and braced himself against the edge of the couch, trapping Shen Nanzi in his arms. His tone was soft and playful, almost roguish, as he nuzzled her affectionately, his voice soft and sticky:
"Okay? I won't bother you, I'll just stay quietly by your side and sleep with you."
His gaze was intense, reflecting her image with a captivating, determined allure.
Shen Nanzi felt that he was really good at acting cute, otherwise why would someone have sent him to her side?
I thought he was ruthless, but it turns out he's quite charming.
“My brother is still in mourning.” Shen Nanzi stretched out her snow-white fingers and ruthlessly pushed him away, her brows furrowed with cold frost.
He let out a soft "hum" and fell onto the soft pillow, his dark hair spreading out, his alluring face looking at her pitifully.
"Although Fang Shuo doesn't say that, I still respect the rules of Yunhan, so I'll sleep next to you, okay?"
He then tugged at her sleeve and shook it like a persistent little dog.
Shen Nanzi was truly captivated by him, and just as she was getting worried, her aunt called from outside the door.
"Come in!" Shen Nanzi pushed Ye Shuyin's outer robe to the side and covered him with it, warning him in a low voice, "Get up and put your clothes on properly. It wouldn't look good if my sister-in-law saw this."
“You’re already a young widow, what’s wrong with finding someone else?” he pouted, sulking like a puppy.
He angrily turned away, his back to her, and huffed, "I'm going to sleep here, I'm not going anywhere!"
Shen Nanzi sighed, realizing she had provoked a clingy person.
"Mother." The moment the door was pushed open, Cheng'er's soft voice came in.
"Mother is here!" Shen Nanzi picked up her outer robe and put it on as she walked to the outer room.
Cheng'er had changed into a new outfit, wearing an inner garment and a dark cloak over it, with his hands tucked into the front of the garment.
I woke up in the middle of the night!
"What happened?" Shen Nanzi hugged him tightly.
“Cheng’er wants to sleep with his mother.” He rubbed his eyes. “Several roof tiles on Cheng’er’s roof are broken.”
"My great-aunt said she'll go sleep there once the repairs are finished."
My aunt replied from outside, "It's probably a kitten that came along and stepped on the roof tiles. Luckily, they fell outside."
"This old servant is worried that more tiles might fall down behind him, so I'm not at ease."
"Okay, Auntie, you should get some rest." Shen Nanzi thought to herself, this house hasn't been furnished for very long!
How come there are broken tiles? It seems we need to have them checked carefully; broken tiles are no small matter.
Shen Nanzi deliberately made two "Hmm? Hmm?" sounds to remind the people inside to put on their clothes.
Ye Shuyin emerged leisurely from inside, speaking lazily, "It's Cheng'er!"
Xie Chengze paused slightly when he saw Ye Shuyin.
Ye Shuyin approached and skillfully picked him up, saying, "Call me Father."
The two had become quite familiar with each other after spending so much time together, and Cheng'er, knowing their false identities, greeted them with a respectful "Father."
