When Xiao He entered the ward carrying large and small bags of supplements, he did not see Jin He. The bed was empty, and the blankets were still piled up, the raised folds suggesting that the owner had only gone out to the toilet briefly and would be back soon.

But there's no one in the restroom!

Xiao He's head buzzed instantly. The reason was simple: Jin Miao had class today, and An Yi had a schedule, so he volunteered to take care of Jin He!

He only went downstairs to get a supplement!

The person is missing!

ah! ! ! !

Xiao He went out and searched around, even thinking about how he would atone for his sins with his death. With tears in his eyes, he was about to call Jin Miao when he turned around and saw Jin He standing at the door looking at him, wearing a coat and slippers, holding a small bag containing two tea eggs and a small bread.

Tears welled up in his eyes: "Brother, why didn't you tell me you were going downstairs?"

"The doctor came to check on me just now and told me to move around a bit," Jin He said gently. "My bones are getting so weak from lying down all these days in the hospital. I saw that the leaves on the trees downstairs are sprouting green buds, so I thought I'd go out for some fresh air."

Xiao He quickly stepped forward to help the old man up and told him to slow down. Seeing that he was alright, he was relieved: "Why didn't you tell me?"

"I forgot, I only remembered when I got downstairs, so I just bought a few things and came up." Jin He stuffed a steaming hot tea egg into his hand, "Try it, it's still warm. An Yi said the tea eggs here are pretty good."

Aren't you going to eat?

"I don't like this." Jin He sat back on the bed, unwrapped the small bread in her hand, and took a bite.

The tea eggs were very flavorful, and Xiao He stuffed one into his mouth in one go. Looking at Jin He sitting on the hospital bed, her body as thin as an iron plate, chewing a piece of bread for a long time, he couldn't help but feel a little worried: "Xiao Miao said you'll be discharged tomorrow, is that okay? I feel that your condition is more suitable for you to stay for a few more days."

"Hospitalization is pointless; it doesn't matter where you recuperate." Jin He finally swallowed the small bread in his mouth and began his second bite. "Besides, I'll feel better if I recuperate at home."

"Xiao Miao really cares about you and hopes you can take care of your health."

"What's wrong with that?" Jin He knew her body very well. After eating a couple of bites of the bread, she felt it was too sweet, so she wrapped it in a plastic bag and decided to let An Yi have it as a late-night snack when he came back that night.

"I want to go downstairs for some fresh air," Jin He said.

So Xiao He found a wheelchair from somewhere, helped Jin He sit down, and considering Jin He's special status, prepared a breathable mask for him, and pushed his brother-in-law out the door, completely wrapped up.

Jin He reached out and touched the sunlight: "It's already spring."

"Yes, the weather is starting to warm up."

Jin He pouted: "When I participated in the talent show and reunited with An Yi, it was only early autumn."

Time flies.

"Really? I think it's quite slow." Jin He sighed. After all, he had been sick most of the past six months. He rarely felt well, and when he was sick, every minute was unbearable.

This made Jin He very upset.

“People say that sick people have a bad temper,” Jin He said. “I think it’s because they are in so much pain that their temper is naturally not good. When my grandmother was sick, she would make a fuss almost every day in the later stages, crying and cursing. My mother and uncle didn’t dare to get close to her. People say that there are no filial children at the bedside of a long-term patient. It is torture for both the patient and the family.”

"But I feel like you've never caused any trouble, brother?"

In his eyes, there was no patient more emotionally stable than Jin He. He didn't think Jin He had ever yelled or screamed. After thinking about it carefully, Jin He honestly said, "Actually, I can be quite irritable when I'm upset, but generally, you're not the ones who have to bear this bad temper."

Poor An Yi.

Whenever Jin He felt pain or discomfort, just as he was about to lose his temper, he would see An Yi looking at him with a pitiful and distressed expression, holding him in his arms as if he were in even more pain than Jin He. At that moment, he would lose his temper.

"I don't think I've provided any emotional support to An Yi." Jin He felt a little frustrated thinking about this. "He always bears a lot of negative emotions that he shouldn't have from me. I'm the one who has let him down."

Xiao He sat on the bench next to Jin He, rested his chin on his hand and pondered for a while, then said, "But to be honest, if the person who was sick today was Xiao Miao, she might have a bit of a temper... but it wouldn't be a big deal."

"After all, if she gets sick, I'll be too worried to even think about it. I'd love for her to jump up and argue with me like a madwoman. So what if she has a temper? I love hearing her scold me."

Jin He was amused by such a shameless remark: "You really like Xiao Miao."

“An Yi likes you a lot too,” Xiao He said. “You haven’t seen it, but when your condition worsens and you fall into a coma, he can’t sleep for nights on end. Do you know why he dyed his hair dark red now?”

“That time when he took off his hat, I saw that he had gray hair on both sides of his temples,” Xiao He said with emotion. “If it were me, I might not be able to do that.”

Jin He's eyes widened. He thought An Yi had suddenly dyed his hair just in case you needed it, but it turned out he had gray hair?!

"What are you guys chatting about?" An Yi's voice suddenly rang out from behind. Jin He subconsciously turned around to look. An Yi's makeup was still on, and it looked like he had just come back from the filming location. His dark red hair wasn't particularly eye-catching, but it occasionally looked a bit arrogant.

The guy was dressed in all black overalls, carrying a steaming bowl of egg waffles. You could smell the aroma from a distance. His dark red hair must have been styled by the makeup artist. Every strand of hair was unruly. At first, Jin He thought An Yi's red hair suited him quite well, but now, looking at it, she felt increasingly uncomfortable.

He pursed his lips, feeling a pang of sadness, and said nothing more.

"You had a hard day, didn't you? How was it?"

Xiao He replied, "It's fine! Oh, I ate half a bowl of millet porridge and half a steamed bun for lunch today, along with some mixed chrysanthemum greens and stir-fried lettuce. I just ate two bites of bread, and I didn't throw up."

"You didn't eat meat?"

"Um... Brother Xiaohe said he doesn't want to eat."

Since Jin He had already eaten the bread, there was no need to leave the egg waffles for him. So An Yi handed them to Xiao Heyi and told him to take them back for afternoon tea. He thought Jin He would make a fuss about wanting to put a couple on the table to try, but Jin He was unusually calm and greeted Xiao Heyi normally.

An Yi raised an eyebrow at Jin He.

"What's wrong?" After Xiao He left, An Yi naturally reached out to touch Jin He's face and asked, "Are you in a bad mood today?"
