Chapter 43 Eat shit!

Jin He suspected that someone might have thrown the bracelet into the water while he was away. Since it was electronic, soaking it like that would have rendered it completely unusable.
Would you like to sit down for a while?
Jin He shook his head. There were so many people here. He wanted to go out for some fresh air, but his legs were still weak, and he was afraid he couldn't take a single step.
"Do you need to take some medicine?" Wen Lian asked cautiously, looking at his face. "Brother Xiao He, your lips are a little purple."
Jin He took a couple of breaths and whispered, "I might... I might need..."
Wen Lian leaned closer to listen to what Jin He was saying when he suddenly felt a gust of wind behind him. One hand pulled him away, while the other held a portable oxygen cylinder and placed it directly on Jin He's face. Jin He's tense body seemed to relax suddenly, and he leaned against the wall as if he had no bones.
"Slow down." An Yi used his body to block the camera, his hand holding the oxygen cylinder trembling as he said, "Breathe slowly, slowly."
Fortunately, he had been careful and had his assistant buy oxygen cylinders in advance. He knew that Jin He would feel unwell after coming off the stage. With such a lot of exercise, so many people, and thin air, even a young man would be exhausted and panting.
"Is this okay? If not, let's go to the hospital now. This can't be delayed."
Jin He's heart was under a lot of strain due to the temporary lack of oxygen in the air, and the sudden attack was indeed quite uncomfortable. However, after taking a couple of breaths of oxygen, his symptoms improved significantly. At least his lips were no longer turning purple. An Yi was about to lift his wrist to check his heart rate and blood oxygen levels when he found nothing. Jin He's wrist was empty; the bracelet was tightly clutched in his hand.
What's wrong with the bracelet?
"It's ruined." Jin He's voice was low, sounding as if she was very sad. "It's ruined by water."
"Isn't this kind of bracelet waterproof?"
“Mine isn’t waterproof,” Jin He replied.
How could something be ruined by water? An Yi looked around and saw that everyone was busy with their own things and no one had noticed what was going on. He reached out and touched Jin He's neck.
What are you doing?
"Let me feel your heartbeat, is it fast or not?"
Jin He's eyebrows were practically knotted together. She impatiently shoved An Yi's hand aside and muttered, "Annoying."
"Why!"
Although he was scolded, he didn't seem too angry. In fact, he seemed quite happy. He squatted down next to Jin He and asked, "How are you feeling now? Can you move? Can you walk? How about I help you take a walk in a less crowded place? Oh, tell me, if you can't, go to the hospital. You almost scared me to death, you know? You almost gave me a heart attack!"
An Yi was still carrying Jin He's coat. Jin He found his obsequious manner displeasing and snatched the coat away, draping it over herself: "I'll go by myself!"
"Don't go alone. What if something happens to you? Find someone to go with you... Hey, Wen Lian!"
"I'm with Qi Yunran."
Jin He glared at him, then hurriedly walked towards the door. As she was leaving, she seemed to have accidentally stepped on her own robe and tripped over it, so she angrily kicked the door frame to vent her anger.
I'm angry again.
An Yi muttered to himself, then beckoned to his assistant: "Go buy a smart bracelet, one that's waterproof and has Bluetooth connectivity."
"Okay." The assistant nodded quickly and ran away. An Yi's expression gradually turned cold. Although it suited him just fine that Jin He's bracelet broke, his things wouldn't break for no reason. After all, Jin He had always cherished his things since he was a child. He had even scolded Jin He for breaking the microphone before.
He couldn't possibly be showering or washing his hair while wearing the bracelet. The bracelet was just sitting there on the table, so how did water get in?
An Yi arrived at the production team's control room and asked them to bring up the footage of the dressing room.
"The footage from the lounge... the lounge footage is rarely shown in the live stream, Teacher An, what do you need this for?"
"Just show it to me. It's from the time when the 'Spring Mountain' group performed on stage."
An Yi stood with his arms crossed in front of a bunch of monitors. Only one camera captured the table in the lounge, but people kept passing by and blocking the view. An Yi just stared intently at it, and then he saw a hand reach out and pour a glass of water directly onto his wristband.
They then left, and the camera never captured the owner of the device.
An Yi: "..."
"I didn't get any pictures," he said.
What are you looking for?
"Play that part again, yes, right here." An Yi squinted and looked at it again. The fingernails of that hand were square, and the knuckles were thick. It should be a man's hand. A bit of black cuff was visible on the outstretched wrist.
Is the costume black, and is the relationship between the performer and Jin He not good?
“But shouldn’t it be Qi Yunran and his group who have a bad relationship with Jin He? They’re in the same group as Jin He, they don’t have time to do this.” An Yi pondered.
At this moment, Jin He squatted by the flower bed outdoors, her expression indifferent: "Being less skilled than others, you resort to petty theft and now you even know how to shift blame and use someone else to do your dirty work. Should I praise you for being so clever?"
Qi Yunran stood beside him, her face pale.
"Idiot," Jin He said with a laugh.
"It's just a bracelet. Isn't it normal to accidentally spill a glass of water?" Qi Yunran said. "Why did you have to call me out to say such nonsensical things?"
Jin He shrugged: "There's nothing I can do. I just hate it when people break my things."
"Then what can you do to me?"
There's really nothing we can do to Qi Yunran. After all, it's just a bracelet, worth only a few hundred yuan at most. Even if we make a big fuss, we can only compensate her for the price. That would just make people think Jin He is petty and narrow-minded.
But if Jin He doesn't return it now, he's afraid he won't be able to sleep tonight.
Jin He smiled slightly: "You have a single interview in a little while, right?"
That was a solo interview opportunity that Qi Yunran's company had secured for him through a lot of connections. The company had already created a persona for him and bought press releases. After the interview, his votes would easily make it to the finals.
So Qi Yunran's makeup today was also full of tricks. At first glance, it looked like he wasn't wearing any makeup. In fact, the concealer covered up the freckles and pimples on his face, the shadows deepened the contours of his face, and the highlighter filled in his rugged face shape.
"What are you going to do?" Qi Yunran looked at him warily.
Jin He smiled slightly. It had just rained last night, and the air was cool. The soil in the flower bed was incredibly muddy. He grabbed a clump of black mud and threw it forward. With a "smack," it hit Qi Yunran's exquisitely made-up face.
"You little brat, eat shit!"
