Chapter 24 Go find him

Jin He saw his younger sister to the door, and when he looked down, he saw that she still had tears in her eyes. He whispered to comfort her, "It's okay, your brother will be back in a week at most."
"Why didn't you tell An Yi?" Jin Miao was still a little unconvinced. "He's a decent person, even though he can be a bit harsh with his words."
"But brother can't hold him back any longer."
Jin He's expression was gentle, but the more she spoke, the more heartbroken she became. "My brother thinks the only thing he did wrong, the only person he's sorry for, is... He's stubborn but soft-hearted. If you give him a little kindness, he'll come crawling back. Xiao Miao, you don't understand yet. An Yi will have a wider world and greater achievements, while someone like me, who takes off his shoes one night before going to bed, doesn't even know if he'll be able to put them back on the next day."
"What nonsense are you talking about? My brother will live to be a hundred years old."
"Good, good, good, live a long and healthy life." Jin He reached out and hugged Xiao Miao. "Go to school, study hard, don't worry about me."
"Okay, then remember to wear more clothes, and don't catch a cold." Jin Miao kept turning back to remind him, "Don't stay up late, don't do strenuous exercise, and don't get sick or have a fever."
"Okay, I understand."
Jin He was about to start brewing Chinese medicine for himself every day again, but the taste of Chinese medicine was inevitably too strong, so he moved the health pot outdoors and connected a long power cord. That day, when he was squatting under the window, gagging and drinking Chinese medicine, An Yi suddenly poked his head out of the window.
Jin He was holding the medicine, gagging and stuffing it into his mouth, when suddenly a shadow loomed over his head. He looked up, startled, screamed, and instantly darted a meter away.
The medicine was scattered all over the ground. Jin He, pale-faced, touched her chest and sat on the ground, breathing heavily with a blank expression.
"you……"
An Yi was startled by him. Seeing that he looked completely disoriented, she climbed over the window and reached out to help him: "Are you alright?"
"Are you alright, An Yi? Why did you scare me if you're not alright?!"
Jin He raised her hand to look at her bracelet, and wow, her heart rate had soared to 170.
Jin He took two more breaths, but still felt unwell and uncomfortable.
"What's wrong with you?" An Yi squatted down beside him, looking somewhat at a loss. "I just wanted to see what was wrong with you. You smell so strongly of medicine."
Jin He was really anxious this time. He hated it when someone made a sound to scare him. Usually, Fang Xiaoke would just gently push him to wake him up and it would take him a while to recover. He really couldn't stand An Yi's sudden action.
An Yi watched as Jin He's face grew increasingly pale. He asked Jin He if he wanted him to be carried to the infirmary, but Jin He glared at him instead.
Why is your heart beating so fast?
"Of course I was scared by you."
"I'm sorry then." An Yi squatted down next to Jin He, holding his wrist and checking his pulse. "Do you want to take some medicine?"
Jin He didn't need his reminder; he pulled a small bottle out of his pocket, poured two pills into his hand, and ate them.
An Yi didn't dare to say anything. He picked up the thermos that Jin He had thrown on the ground, rinsed it under the tap, and when he turned around, Jin He was gone again, leaving only the thermos on the ground. Seeing that there was no one else around, An Yi took some medicine residue out of the thermos and wrapped it in a tissue.
He's so easily frightened, and he gets chest tightness and shortness of breath so easily. An Yi wondered if... he had a heart problem?
It's probably a heart problem; her lips are also turning purple.
But why did he suddenly become like that? He was perfectly healthy before; how could he have heart disease at only twenty-five?
Will he still be able to participate in the show?
An Yi returned to his lounge, called his assistant, and handed him the medicine wrapped in a tissue, asking him to find a reliable traditional Chinese medicine practitioner to analyze the ingredients and effects of the herbs. He still felt uneasy; Jin Miao wasn't the type to be overly suspicious, so Jin He was definitely hiding something important from him.
He paced around the lounge like a headless fly for a while, then, as if he had finally made up his mind, he took out his phone and, after a moment, said to the person on the other end, "Sister."
"Hmm, what's wrong? Tell me quickly, I'm busy here."
“There is indeed something I need your help with,” An Yi said. “I want to check someone’s medical records, but the hospitals in Haicheng don’t have them, so I guess I need to broaden the scope a bit.”
"You want me to pull some strings for you?" Anxi waved away the employee beside her, walked to a quiet place, and asked, "What kind of friends? Why are you checking their medical records?"
“He was my former teammate, Jin He,” An Yi replied, pausing for a moment before adding, “He was also my ex-boyfriend.”
Anxi: "..."
When did this happen?
“It happened three or four years ago.” An Yi’s tone was still a little aggrieved. “I was just about to tell you when he broke up with me. But now I have some doubts. He seems to be terminally ill now. I suspect that he broke up with me on purpose because he didn’t want to hold me back.”
"You little rascal, you're pretty narcissistic. Are you two acting out a melodramatic soap opera?"
“No, sister, I know him,” An Yi said. “I’ve never asked you for anything in my life, please help me.”
Anxi stood in front of the floor-to-ceiling window, raised her hand to tuck her hair behind her ear, pondered for a moment, and replied, "How about this, Yushi Group has many medical companies under its name. You can find someone and say that you are Anxi's younger brother."
"Yushi?"
"Yes, their current president's surname is Zhou. We've had a lot of business dealings before, and we've even been on a blind date."
In the end, neither of them liked the other.
Anxi said, "Anyway, that's just how he is. You should go find him, and he'll help you."
