At that moment, Officer Zhao, who was on duty, was preparing to leave the police station. He was yawning and stretching as he prepared to go home.
Suddenly, the door was pushed open with a bang, and a figure rushed in.
Old Zhao was startled by this sudden scene. Upon closer inspection, he realized it was a little girl.
The little girl looked pale and somewhat disheveled.
"Young man, why are you in such a hurry? What happened?" Old Zhao asked with concern.
Shen Xiaoxiao composed herself slightly, took a deep breath, and quickly replied, "Officer, I want to call the police!"
Upon hearing this, Old Zhao was taken aback for a moment, then quickly asked, "Call the police? Have you run into some trouble?"
Shen Xiaoxiao calmed herself down a bit, and then quickly explained, "My brother and I encountered a group of human traffickers on the train."
“They took advantage of our inattention, drugged my brother and me, and then took us off the train.”
“My brother is a soldier. He wouldn’t normally be drugged, but the situation was urgent, and he was thinking of venturing into the lion’s den, so he was drugged.”
"However, once the effects of the drug wore off, my brother immediately regained consciousness. He was incredibly skilled and subdued those human traffickers in no time."
"Now, my brother asked me to come and call the police. I hope the police officers can bring these despicable human traffickers to justice!"
After listening to Shen Xiaoxiao's account, Lao Zhao's expression instantly turned serious. He realized that this matter was of utmost importance and needed to be dealt with immediately.
He decisively said to Shen Xiaoxiao, "Little girl, don't rush, come in with me."
Old Zhao led Shen Xiaoxiao straight to the director's office. When they reached the door, he raised his hand and gently knocked a few times.
A moment later, a voice came from inside saying, "Please come in."
Old Zhao pushed open the door and led Shen Xiaoxiao inside.
As soon as he entered, Old Zhao said directly to the station chief sitting behind his desk, "Chief, this young lady has come to report a case!"
The director, who was engrossed in processing documents, looked up when he heard the sound, a hint of doubt in his eyes.
"Old Zhao, you can just follow the proper procedures when filing a police report. Why did you bring it to me?"
Old Zhao quickly spoke up, "Isn't this a special case? Young lady, please explain the situation!"
Shen Xiaoxiao nodded and explained the situation to the director again.
When the director heard that soldiers had been implicated, he was immediately alarmed, realizing that the situation might be more serious than he had imagined.
Without a second thought, he quickly stood up and notified all the police officers in the station to immediately go to the scene.
The police station in this small town is not large; including the station chief, there are only nine people in total.
Despite their limited numbers, they were all keenly aware of the importance and urgency of this mission.
"Little girl, do you remember the way we came? Take us there quickly!" After gathering everyone, the director looked at Shen Xiaoxiao and asked anxiously.
Shen Xiaoxiao hesitated for a moment, then slowly raised her hand, pointed to the bicycle, and said hesitantly, "I do know the way, but I came here via a very narrow path. The path was rugged and uneven, and a bicycle could not pass through it at all."
After listening to Shen Xiaoxiao's words, the director remained silent for a moment. Just a few seconds later, he made a decisive decision: "In that case, let's walk there!"
He thought to himself that although walking might take more time and energy, it would be a remarkable achievement to successfully apprehend the human traffickers within his jurisdiction.
Having made up his mind, the director stepped forward without hesitation, signaling Shen Xiaoxiao to lead the way.
Seeing this, Shen Xiaoxiao didn't say anything more and turned to walk towards the path.
Just as Shen Xiaoxiao said, this road was indeed unsuitable for riding a bike, and even walking was difficult. After about an hour, they finally emerged from the path and arrived at the entrance of a village.
Shen Xiaoxiao stopped and pointed to the village not far ahead, saying, "That's the village."
When the young police officers saw what was happening before them, they were all stunned, their faces showing a speechless expression.
Old Zhao, both amused and exasperated, said, "Young lady, it only takes 20 minutes to get to the police station from here. Why did you take such a long detour up the mountain?"
"My brother and I were brought to this village at night. We don't know the situation, and we don't know if there are any of their accomplices in the village. We dare not go to their door rashly. We are not familiar with this place, so we can only avoid the crowds and walk to the town, so..." Shen Xiaoxiao said shyly, her face red.
No one felt bad blaming her, after all, she was unconscious when she was brought in, and she was unfamiliar with the area. It was already quite an achievement that she managed to walk to town and call the police on her own.
"Then take us to find your brother!" the director said eagerly, impatient to see Shen Xiaoxiao's brother.
Seeing this, Shen Xiaoxiao quickly nodded and replied, "Okay, this way please." After saying that, she turned around and walked forward, leading the way for everyone.
Just then, some villagers who had nothing to do saw so many police officers suddenly barging into the village and became very curious, so they followed behind them, wanting to find out what was going on.
And so, the group followed Shen Xiaoxiao in a grand procession all the way to Sister Hua's house.
Just then, Shen Xiaochuan inside the house seemed to hear the commotion outside. He quickly got up, strode to the door, and flung it open.
The moment the door opened, Shen Xiaoxiao saw Shen Xiaochuan standing in the doorway. A joyful smile immediately appeared on her face, and she rushed forward, excitedly saying, "Brother, I'm back! I brought the police with me!"
Seeing his sister return safely, Shen Xiaochuan finally felt a huge weight lifted from his heart.
He smiled and patted Shen Xiaoxiao's head, then turned to the police officers beside him and gave them a standard military salute.
He said calmly, "Officer, they're all inside. I've already tied them up with rope. You can just go in and bring them out."
Seeing this, the station chief quickly returned the salute and then instructed the police officers behind him, "Go in and bring the person out."
Not long after, three or four people in police uniforms rushed into the house. Seeing this, Shen Xiaoxiao followed them in.
Upon entering the room, one of the policemen asked with a suspicious look, "What's going on with these people? We made such a commotion, yet they're sleeping like logs, without reacting at all!"
