Chapter 283 The Obsessive Painter 13 "Are you going to go with her?"

"If you want to, you can leave now, and I will not stop you."

Jin Ye ignored her and turned his gaze to Zi Xi instead.

All eyes were on Zi Xi.

She looked at Su Qingyan, then at Jin Ye, and finally slowly shook her head.

"You're so despicable, breaking your kneecaps to willingly become this man's caged bird?!"

"Disgusting! You're a disgrace to the Chinese people!!"

Su Qingyan found it hard to believe.

Zi Xi lowered her head and typed on the tablet, then held it up to show Su Qingyan.

You've misunderstood. He's not the warden, and I'm not a prisoner.

I stayed not because I was trapped, but because I wanted to one day go out with him.

These words sent a shiver down Jin Ye's spine as he secretly peeked at them, a complex expression flashing in his eyes.

Su Qingyan wanted to say something, but the security guards had already stepped forward and restrained her.

You'll regret this!

"When he ruins you, you'll realize how wrong your decision today was!!"

She screamed as she was dragged away.

"Break one of her legs and throw her out."

“If she crawls in again, all of you will get out together.”

Jin Ye's voice was as cold as ice.

A scream shattered the tranquility of the garden.

Zi Xi tried to step forward to stop him, but Jin Ye pulled her into his arms.

"It's okay, don't look."

"That way she can't hurt you."

He covered her eyes, his voice suddenly becoming unusually gentle.

After the security guards dragged the screaming Su Qingyan away, Jin Ye picked up Zi Xi and carried her towards the main house.

Zixi nestled obediently in his arms, without struggling.

Back inside the house, Jin Ye didn't let go of her. Instead, he placed her on the sofa, knelt down in front of her, and held her hands.

"Were you scared?"

He asked softly, a stark contrast to his earlier demeanor.

Zi Xi nodded, then shook her head.

"That's good... I know I can't keep you locked up like this forever, but I really can't lose you..."

Jin Ye sighed and rested his forehead on the back of her hand.

"But as long as you promise me that you are willing to stay by my side and that you won't leave... I will believe you."

He raised his head, his eyes filled with a rare vulnerability and pleading.

Zi Xi gazed at him for a long time before finally nodding slowly.

Jin Ye felt a great weight lifted off his shoulders and pulled her into a tight embrace.

The hug started as a comforting gesture, but gradually grew more passionate.

His lips pressed against her neck, his breathing becoming heavy.

Zi Xi could feel the changes in his body and shifted uncomfortably.

"Don't be afraid, I won't hurt you."

Never.

Jin Ye murmured, his voice hoarse with desire.

His kisses moved from her neck to her cheeks, and finally covered her lips.

This kiss wasn't as simple as the first time she gave artificial respiration; it was filled with possessiveness and longing. Zi Xi froze for a moment, then finally relaxed and acquiesced to the intimacy.

When Jin Ye's hands began to wander restlessly, Zi Xi gently pushed him away and shook her head.

"I'm sorry, I was in a hurry."

Jin Ye stopped what he was doing, a hint of disappointment flashing in his eyes, but it was quickly replaced by understanding.

"Go and rest... Tomorrow, we still have to... work."

He straightened her clothes, his voice returning to calm.

Zi Xi nodded, got up and left.

As she reached the door, she glanced back.

Jin Ye remained kneeling in front of the sofa, looking down at his hands, as if repenting for his actions, or perhaps trying to restrain himself.

Late that night, Jin Ye stood in his studio, in front of the painting that had caused a sensation: the painting of a back view.

He picked up his paintbrush and added a line of almost invisible small words in the lower right corner of the painting: "To my light and my cage."

On Thursday afternoon, Jin Ye paced back and forth in his art studio.
