"He really hasn't shown up for a long time."
Xue Xunzhi muttered to himself as he opened the calendar and marked the time.
It has been about four years since "he" last appeared.
The blue light from the screen cast an eerie shadow on his face.
The noisy gaming sounds and keyboard clicks in the internet cafe suddenly became ear-piercing, as if a million ants were crawling on Xue Xunzhi's eardrums.
He shook his head nervously, his nails digging deep into his palms. The pain brought him to his senses slightly, but the familiar method still lingered.
It felt like someone had opened a door in his brain, allowing him to come and go as he pleased, leaving behind a mess.
Xue Xunzhi opened his phone's photo album with trembling hands.
The sight of nearly a hundred photos sent a jolt through his stomach. They were photos of his junior, Zixi, walking along the tree-lined path on campus, taken at noon today.
The photo was taken from a hidden angle, as if it were taken secretly.
Xue Xunzhi still clearly remembers what happened the last time "he" appeared. That fierce and violent second personality almost beat the boy who cursed him so badly that he ended up in the hospital.
After that incident, his classmates always looked at him with wariness and fear.
Xue Xunzhi stumbled out of the internet cafe, the cold wind stinging his face like knives.
He wanted to find the female student; he needed to confirm which one he hadn't done anything to.
Upbeat music was playing over the school radio, creating a terrifying contrast with his chilled state of mind.
"Xunzhi? Are you alright?"
A familiar voice came from behind.
"You look terrible. Should I take you to the infirmary?"
He turned around stiffly and saw his roommate Chen Mo looking at him with a puzzled expression.
"I'm fine."
"It's just... my head hurts a little from sleeping in the dark."
Xue Xunzhi forced himself to smile.
Chen Mo's eyes told him that the excuse was ridiculously clumsy, but thank goodness, he didn't press the matter.
"Okay, call me if you need anything."
Chen Mo patted his shoulder and was about to walk away when he suddenly remembered something and turned back to ask Xue Xunzhi a question.
"It's not that I talk too much, buddy... Xunzhi... do you have morning grumpiness?"
What did I do before I went to the internet cafe this morning?
Xue Xunzhi's temples throbbed.
"You still have the nerve to say that? You were talking to a girl in front of the internet cafe..."
Chen Mo went to buy breakfast at a breakfast stall not far from the school gate in the morning and saw Xue Xunzhi blocking a girl.
Driven by a love of gossip, Chen Mo brought the breakfast closer.
"Heh, so you're that woman?"
"It's not that great."
Xue Xunzhi stared intently at Zi Xi, stunned for a moment as he stared at the woman in front of him. Suddenly, he smiled, but the smile did not reach his eyes, making people feel uneasy.
That kid's taste is actually somewhat similar to his for the first time.
"Oh? It's your senior."
Zi Xi paused, a perfectly timed smile appearing on her lips, but a thoughtful glint flashed in her eyes.
It's definitely different.
Although the person in front of me has the gentle appearance of Xue Xunzhi, his clothes and mannerisms are just like the main personality.
