What a bookworm!
But how can she be so special and so interesting!
"Hey deskmate, do you think I won't do anything to you?"
Jiang Yanli grabbed her wrist, her fingertips caressing her delicate skin, her eyes deep and unfathomable.
"Don't disturb my studies, nothing else matters."
Zi Xi glanced down at her wrist, which he was holding, then switched to her left hand to continue taking notes, her expression remaining calm.
After a moment of stunned silence, Jiang Yanli stared at her for a few seconds before suddenly letting go of her hand, leaning back lazily in her chair, her tone unspoken yet teasing: "Yes, yes, good student, loves to study."
But he still tilted his head, his gaze unabashedly fixed on Zi Xi's face, and suddenly began to introduce himself: "I prefer strong flavors in my food, but I don't like it too salty. I usually like to go bungee jumping and rock climbing on weekends..."
Zi Xi picked up her pen again with her right hand and began to concentrate on the lesson, listening to Jiang Yanli's long, rambling monologue.
Having said what she wanted to say, Jiang Yanli narrowed her eyes and her tone became dangerous: "You really won't reply to me at all?"
Without looking up, Zi Xi tore off a piece of paper from her notebook, quickly wrote down the key points he had mentioned, and moved it to his desk.
Jiang Yanli stared at the paper for a few seconds, then stared at her for a few seconds before suddenly smiling.
He reached out, his fingertips gently lifting another strand of her hair, twirling it between his fingers, his voice low and husky: "Then I'll continue..."
Zi Xi finally looked up, met his gaze, and nodded, indicating that he could continue.
Jiang Yanli smiled mischievously: "Don't find me annoying, my deskmate."
He wanted to see if his little classmate was really listening to him, so he deliberately spoke incoherently, planning to check on him in the afternoon.
Zi Xi nodded again, accepting the challenge.
She still has that memory.
The morning passed peacefully. During the break, Zi Xi was reading a book when Jiang Yanli bought a lot of snacks and drinks and put them on her desk. Zi Xi did not refuse and calmly thanked her before choosing a piece of beef jerky to chew slowly.
Jiang Yanli felt her fingers were itching to pinch her little classmate's cheeks; he was just too cute!
At this moment, Chu Baiyi arrived at the entrance of Class 1, Grade 12, led by her homeroom teacher.
Chu Baiyi squinted at the sign for Class 1, Grade 12, a smile playing on her lips.
Let her peel back Chu Zixi's pretentious and aloof facade little by little!
She sneered and tugged at the hem of her brand-new school uniform skirt.
She will prove to everyone that she is the real heiress, while that pretentious Chu Zixi is just an ignorant intruder in a wealthy family like the Chu family!
She will definitely ruin Chu Zixi's reputation and show everyone just how filthy that seemingly high-minded person really is!
"Chu Baiyi? Are you still not feeling well?"
The homeroom teacher pushed up his glasses and frowned. If it was some kind of illness, the parents hadn't provided any medical records for them to be aware of when the child enrolled!
Chu Baiyi adjusted her expression, putting on what she considered to be the dignified and proper smile of a wealthy young lady.
She rehearsed this moment countless times, including what expression and posture to use when introducing herself on the stage.
What a perfect start! It will allow her to quickly integrate into the class.
The homeroom teacher just felt that the child's smile was strange.
The classroom door was pushed open, and Chu Baiyi walked in with her head held high.
