The group made it to the school gate without any major incident and finally managed to find two cars.

No one wanted to ride in the same car as Bai Lu, so she had to drive her own car and follow behind.

The other six people were in a minivan, which fit perfectly.

These past few days, everyone has been taking turns driving, which has been fine, except for Bailu, who has been pushing herself until she can finally stop and rest at night.

Five days later, they passed through a small town where there was a very large supermarket, and Ningxia decided to go there to replenish some supplies.

She held Yun Yiqin's hand tightly; it was here that Qinqin died.

After carefully inspecting the shelves, the group began packing their belongings into their backpacks.

Sure enough, a small zombie was found behind a secluded shelf where visibility was limited.

The group breathed a sigh of relief after they worked together to blow the little zombie's head off; Qinqin should be safe now.

"Hehehe..."

"Hahaha……"

The group looked at each other and smiled, happy to have survived this moment.

Only Bai Lu stood aside, staring at the group with a sinister look in her eyes.

Ningxia's heart skipped a beat. Bailu couldn't stay; she was in too much danger.

After packing their things, the group headed outside; they had made a huge haul this time.

Each backpack was packed full of high-calorie foods such as bread, compressed biscuits, candy, and chocolate.

There was plenty of clean water, and everyone took some bottled water to carry into the car.

Suddenly, a zombie dressed in an employee uniform ran out from behind the door. He moved quickly, unlike the other zombies who were slow.

"Qinqin, run!"

Ningxia grabbed the steel pipe and swung it forcefully.

She was incredibly lucky; she hit the zombie on the head, but unfortunately, the zombie's head was too hard, and she couldn't break it immediately.

Several roommates quickly came up to finish off the zombie, taking turns attacking it until they actually managed to blow it to pieces.

A small white crystal rolled out of the zombie's head. Ningxia happily picked it up and wiped it on the zombie's still somewhat clean clothes.

"Everyone, come and see! This is the crystal core!"

Ningxia's roommates already knew about the benefits of crystal cores from her; they could not only be used as currency but also enhance superpowers. Everyone gathered around to observe them closely.

"Wow, it's so beautiful, even shinier than diamonds."

"I never imagined that such an ugly monster could have such a beautiful thing growing in its head."

Ningxia put the crystal cores away, saying, "Keep the crystal cores with me for now, and we'll divide them up when we've collected enough."

Everyone nodded in agreement, except for Bai Lu, who pouted and thought, "Hmph! It's still up to you to decide."

"Ouch, that hurts..."

Yun Yiqin gasped in shock, her face pale as she clutched her arm.

Ningxia walked towards her. "Qinqin, what's wrong?"

"When the zombies pounced on me, they accidentally snagged my arm, and it hurts so much!"

Ningxia's expression changed drastically. Yun Yiqin's sleeve was indeed torn. She rolled up her sleeve, revealing a small wound on her originally snow-white skin, which was now completely blackened.

"Ah...she's infected."

Bai Lu cried out in surprise, and she retreated in fright.

Ningxia glared at her. "Shut up, or I'll throw you into a zombie abode."

Bai Lu covered her mouth tightly, no longer daring to make a sound. She could only shrink to the side, not daring to move at all.

Ningxia helped Yun Yiqin lie down on the bedding in the corner and looked at her with concern.

"Don't panic, everyone. I've heard that if you're infected by zombies, there's a high chance you'll awaken superpowers."

Now I just hope Qinqin can pull through. If she can't, then…

Everyone gathered around with concern. They understood Ningxia's unfinished words, and seeing Qinqin injured, they didn't know what to do.

Yun Yiqin gritted her teeth and silently endured the pain caused by the infection.

"If I really mutate, you have to blow my head off. I don't want to become that kind of monster."

Ningxia was on the verge of tears, but in the end she nodded heavily. She didn't want her roommate to end up like that either.

Several of them burst into tears. It was the first time they had faced the prospect of separation by death, and it was terrifying.

Yun Yiqin developed a fever in the middle of the night, and Ningxia could only use water to lower her temperature. She dared not give her any medicine, for fear of losing her supernatural abilities.

Fortunately, all was well and no one was seriously hurt. After a night, Yun Yiqin finally woke up and awakened her water-based superpowers.

"Wow, that's amazing, Qinqin! Your fingers can actually release water!"

"Yes, we won't lack water to drink anymore, that's great."

"That's wonderful."

Yun Yiqin looked at Ningxia and said, "Xiaxia, thank you. If it weren't for you, I would definitely be dead."

Ningxia held Yun Yiqin's hand and said, "Qinqin, it's so good that you woke up. It's your luck. I didn't do anything."

Yun Yiqin said no more; she kept it all in her heart.

The group rested in the supermarket for a while before continuing their journey three days later.

In these three days, Bai Lu was actually the second person to awaken her superpower. She was in a state of high tension because she was always worried that everyone would leave her behind.

She suddenly relaxed and developed a fever that night. In the morning, she discovered that she had awakened an earth-type ability.

She excitedly shared this story with everyone, hoping that they would accept her and stop rejecting her.

Unfortunately, everyone's reaction was nothing like she had imagined.

Ningxia is already secretly preparing to shake off Bailu; who knows what she might do next.

It has to be said that Ningxia was really not ruthless enough. If they had dealt with the people from the beginning, there wouldn't have been so much trouble.

After being delayed for several days, Ningxia was very anxious because in her previous life, she had encountered a group of thugs on the road ahead.

She was considering whether to take a different route, but there were many mountains nearby, and there was only one way in and out. Unless she crossed the mountains, the forests would be even more dangerous.

Ningxia had no choice but to drive slowly, hoping to run into other convoys and go together.

But even after driving onto that small road, they didn't see a single person, so Ningxia had no choice but to grit her teeth and keep driving forward.

Her roommates, having received her warning, were all on high alert, keeping a watchful eye on their surroundings.

Just as the road was about to end, several large rocks suddenly blocked the way at the bend ahead.

Ningxia's heart skipped a beat.

"They're here."

"Get off the bus quickly! If you want to get through, leave the supplies behind."

Ningxia dared not open the windows, fearing they would see a group of girls in the car and have impure thoughts.

"If all else fails, we'll fight."

The group secretly resolved that they would rather die than fall into their hands.

Unbeknownst to the others, Qin Zhen was clenching her hands tightly, her eyes fixed on the large rock.

"It's all because of this damn big rock, blocking the way."

She felt a surge of energy within her, and she felt she could do it.

"Xiaxia, let me get off the bus, I have a plan."
