Ye Zhanying immediately glared back at him, looking fearless.
"Why should I give her face? If I don't like it, I just don't like it. That's just my temper. What, if you're not happy, let's go to the training field and have a match?"
Qi Zecheng quickly waved his hand, keeping his distance.
Ye Zhanying and Du Zhiwei had never gotten along before. Whenever they met, they would argue and bicker all day long.
They wanted to mediate, but neither of the two girls was someone they could afford to offend.
If we can't afford to offend them, we can only avoid them.
Ye Zhanying hummed twice, took a deep breath of the air without Du Zhiwei, and felt incredibly good.
Shu Ying listened from the front, then smiled and shook her head.
Besides Du Zhiwei, Jiang Yunzhou was also absent this time.
Thinking of him, Shu Ying couldn't help but mention it to Xie Zhiyan.
"Actually, I wanted to say this before: Jiang Yunzhou's performance last time seemed a little different from the one I knew."
Xie Zhiyan looked over calmly.
"How so?"
Shu Ying thought carefully about how to describe it: "I'm not quite sure how to put it, but I have a vague feeling that he seems to be hiding something, and he always seems to be preoccupied."
A hint of surprise flashed in Xie Zhiyan's eyes, then he smiled.
"We are indeed of one mind."
Shu Ying was stunned for a moment, then realized what he meant and looked at him in surprise.
"You think so too?"
Xie Zhiyan nodded.
Shu Ying couldn't help but smile at their tacit understanding.
"If that's what you're thinking, why didn't you tell me?"
Xie Zhiyan cleared his throat and subconsciously glanced to the other side.
"At the time, I thought it was because I minded him and that my thinking was biased. Just in case, I didn't say anything."
Shu Ying could barely contain her smile.
"Oh my, you seem to care a lot about Jiang Yunzhou. Could it be that you see him as a rival in love?"
Shu Ying walked around to Xie Zhiyan's side, stared intently at his face, and blinked.
"Comrade Xie Zhiyan, are you jealous?"
As soon as he finished speaking, two curious heads peered over from behind.
"Jealous? What jealousy? Who's jealous?"
Ye Zhanying and Qi Zecheng's gossip instincts were burning fiercely.
Xie Zhiyan expressionlessly pushed their heads back, temporarily skipping the topic.
"So what are your thoughts on Jiang Yunzhou's hidden matters?"
Shu Ying actually had some ideas.
She leaned against Xie Zhiyan and told him her thoughts one by one.
After listening, Xie Zhiyan's thoughts became much clearer.
The two exchanged ideas and decided to take advantage of this trip to investigate whether Jiang Yunzhou had any problems.
Soon, the group arrived successfully.
Jiang Yunzhou, Ornov, and Novich were the ones who came out to greet them again.
Ornov and Novich saw that Shuying was as enthusiastic as ever, and they went up to greet her with smiles, calling her name in broken Chinese.
"Shuying, you've arrived!"
Shu Ying smiled, stepped forward, shook hands with him, and exchanged a few pleasantries.
Jiang Yunzhou remained the same as always, his gaze towards Shu Ying always seemed to have something to say, but when Shu Ying actually looked at him, he would quickly look away.
The group chatted casually about recent events as they walked inside.
The conference room door opened, and Lu Chenyang and Liang Shuhan were already waiting inside. Upon seeing them, they politely stood up to greet them.
Before entering the conference room, Shu Ying and Xie Zhiyan turned their heads to look at their surroundings with a tacit and wary expression.
The security arrangements were quite good. The security personnel were divided into several teams and patrolled back and forth in the building. The team leaders were all familiar faces—Lu Weiquan, Zhang You, and Wu Zhengyi.
The three of them were on high alert, their eyes constantly scanning their surroundings as they walked, and they noticed almost nothing that might happen.
Shu Ying and Xie Zhiyan said nothing, looked away, and remained as usual.
When Director Liu Hui pushed the door open and came in, Lu Chenyang and Liang Shuhan had just finished explaining the situation to Shu Ying in a serious and earnest manner, and attached a document.
"Comrade Xiao Shu, you've arrived."
Director Liu greeted Shu Ying and the others politely as he entered.
Shu Ying smiled and nodded simply, then turned her attention back to the documents in her hands.
She carefully flipped through the document. Although it had a few missing parts, it did not hinder reading, and the content was basically coherent.
Shu Ying breathed a sigh of relief and began discussing the contents of the document with Liang Shuhan and Director Liu.
They discussed professional issues within the military factory. Xie Zhiyan, Ye Zhanying, and Qi Zecheng, not wanting to eavesdrop, waited patiently at the door.
The meeting room was directly opposite the stairwell. Xie Zhiyan leaned against the railing at the corner of the stairs and glanced down casually, just in time to see Lu Weiquan and Wu Zhengyi patrolling the floors below.
As Lu Weiquan walked, he suddenly realized something was wrong. He looked around curiously, frowned, and muttered to himself.
"Strange, where did Zhang You go again?"
Wu Zhengyi hadn't noticed before, but now that he realized Zhang You was gone, his expression changed immediately, and he quickly checked the situation.
"This Zhang You seems to prefer acting alone lately; he disappears without a trace in the blink of an eye."
"According to our plan and the usual pace, Zhang You should have arrived by now. Why haven't we seen a single person yet?"
Upon hearing this, Lu Weiquan suddenly sensed something was amiss, his expression instantly turning serious, and he immediately gave instructions to the people around him.
"Quickly, go find Xiao Zhang and see where he went."
