Chapter 63 Shu Ying: Song Zhaodi is my older sister
Reading Settings
Several middle-aged women had already noticed something amiss, and before Zhou Dawei could react, they enthusiastically joined in the beating.
Zhou Dawei has always been a bully who preys on the weak, but today he has met his match and doesn't dare to utter a sound.
He could only crouch on the ground, holding his head, and weep bitterly.
"I really didn't mean to! I didn't know I would scare your child. Please, I apologize! I really won't do it again. Please forgive me, everyone!"
In no time at all, Zhou Dawei's face was already bruised and swollen.
Everyone knows what kind of person he is. Just by looking at Song Zhaodi's terrified eyes, you can tell that he must have done a lot of evil at home.
Li Qingqing kicked him hard in the leg. Zhou Dawei looked up and howled like a hungry wolf.
When they tried to see who it was, they found themselves surrounded by a dense crowd, and had no idea who had done it.
"To beat your wife so brazenly shows that she has never had a good day with you. It's a miracle that a man like you could even get married. God must be blind."
Even worse, some people took off their shoes. The carriage was already quite small and the air wasn't circulating well, so their smells mixed together and assaulted the carriage.
Zhou Dawei wept bitterly.
"I'm sorry, I'm so sorry, okay?"
He desperately tried to find Song Zhaodi so she could plead for him, but how could Shu Ying not see through his intentions?
Shu Ying subtly gave Li Qingqing a look, signaling her to bring Song Zhaodi to the side.
Everyone was furious, and Zhou Dawei couldn't get out of the carriage.
"Even if you don't have a daughter or sisters, does that mean your mother isn't a woman? You dare to hit your wife, but why don't you dare to lay a hand on your mother?"
Several of the enthusiastic women had all suffered at the hands of their mothers-in-law, and what they talked about most was that there was no such thing as a bad mother-in-law in the world.
The relationship between mother-in-law and daughter-in-law is also the most difficult to resolve. Shu Ying's words ignited the emotions of several people to the highest point.
As punches and kicks rained down, Zhou Dawei felt dizzy, and then someone's fist landed right in his eye.
He curled up in the corner, trying hard to open his eyes, only to find himself surrounded by stars.
He was in a lot of pain, his face was swollen like a pig's head, and his clothes were almost torn to shreds.
He clearly came here to pursue his wife, but he was inexplicably beaten up and suffered a concussion without even realizing who the culprit was.
Shu Ying had disappeared into the crowd long after she said those words.
The power of public opinion should never be underestimated. Zhou Dawei's current fate is simply a consequence of his crimes.
Li Qingqing was so angry that her fists hardened: "A person like this should be locked up in jail for life. Don't let him out to harm other people. Look at him, he reeks of alcohol. I almost threw up when I went over there. What's the point of him living? He'd be better off dead. At least he can be fertilizer for the crops. It's better than him living to ruin other people."
Shu Ying shielded Yangyang and Yueyue behind her and snorted coldly, "If we weren't in such a hurry, we wouldn't let this matter go."
The commotion grew louder and louder, and the train attendants couldn't stop it, so they had to call in the station's police.
After finally managing to disperse the crowd and clarify the situation, the police station wanted to take Zhou Dawei back to give a statement.
Zhou Dawei's gaze swept across the crowd, finally settling on Song Zhaodi.
He quickly raised his arm: "Officer, this Song Zhaodi is my wife. We are both protected by law. I boarded the train to chase after her. We had a little argument yesterday, which wasn't a big deal, but she got angry and wanted to run away from home."
Zhou Dawei smiled ingratiatingly: "Wife, I already know I was wrong. You know, how can a couple not argue? I'll change everything you don't like. Just go back and live a good life with me, okay?"
He didn't want to make a big fuss. They had already run all the way to the capital. If he lost track of them, there would be nowhere to look for them later.
Song Zhaodi looked terrified. She just kept shaking her head, unable to utter a single word of refusal.
She has lived under the shadow of beatings for years; one of her ribs was broken, and she was even nearly beaten to death once.
Song Zhaodi thought to herself, "It would be better if I died like this, at least I wouldn't have to suffer like that anymore."
But she was incredibly lucky. Zhou Dawei somehow found two bowls of foul-smelling and bitter herbs, and forced them down her throat, bringing her back to life.
That kind of life was like hell before, and she would rather be hit by a car and die outside than go back.
Seeing her timid appearance, Zhou Dawei became furious: "You bitch, don't push your luck! I'm talking to you nicely now, but if you don't appreciate it, I'll beat you to death when we get back. I'll break your legs and see if you dare to run around like that again!"
Song Zhaodi's face was deathly pale, and her body trembled uncontrollably.
The police officer's expression turned serious: "Regardless of your relationship, if you intentionally cause harm, you will be held legally responsible!"
Zhou Dawei's expression changed, but he quickly put on a smiling face again: "Officer, this is just how we get along. I'm a straightforward person, but I'm not very good at speaking. I was just trying to scare her."
After he finished speaking, he looked at Song Zhaodi with a sinister look in his eyes: "Officer, even if I am to go to the police station with you, the cause is my wife, so she has to come with me."
