Finally, the car arrived at the impressive Columbia Pictures office building.

Many people have probably heard of this company; the woman holding a torch in the opening credits is from this company.

However, this company was acquired by Sony Pictures Entertainment in 1989 and is now a Japanese company.

After entering the office building and explaining their purpose, Cao Kun and his companion took the elevator to the 7th floor.

Soon, they saw a sign that read "The Imprisoned Girl Project Team".

"What movie is this? I've never heard of it." Cao Kun searched his memory but couldn't find the movie.

However, despite being a seasoned internet user who has watched countless films, Cao Kun was not surprised by this.

Hollywood has just too many projects every year.

Some projects simply cannot be approved.

Some projects were approved, but were never completed.

Some films were completed, but there was simply no way to broadcast them.

They couldn't even release the videotapes, let alone get it shown in theaters.

Cao Kun and his companion were led to a waiting area, where Cao Kun saw two Asian men.

Cao Kun immediately understood that this was an Asian security guard role specially arranged by the production team.

In Hollywood, a movie usually features white people, black people, Asians, or Latinos. This is both politically correct and a way to extract money from these ethnic groups and get them to contribute to the box office.

Clearly, that's exactly what this character is like.

Sam White's expression changed the moment he saw the two Asians.

These two men looked stronger and more rugged than Cao Kun, which better suited the image of a security guard.

Sam White looked rather grim as he sized up the two Asian men.

The two Asians also saw Cao Kun and his companion. After looking Cao Kun up and down, their eyes gleamed with even more confidence.

"Chinese?" The short-haired Asian man looked Cao Kun up and down a few times before asking.

Cao Kun nodded in agreement, and a hint of disdain appeared in their eyes.

In country M, there has always been a hierarchy of contempt.

Squid despise Angs and other ethnicities; Angs and whites despise Laos and other ethnicities; Laos despise all minorities; Latinos among minorities despise Asians; Japanese among Asians despise other Asians; and all other Asians despise Chinese.

Chinese people are at the very bottom of the social hierarchy.

Taking in the glances of the two men, Cao Kun sat down without making a sound.

He also discerned their ethnicities: one was of Japanese descent, and the other of Korean descent.

Noticing that Sam White looked rather grim, Cao Kun guessed what he was thinking and said, "Sam, prepare for negotiations."

Sam White sighed inwardly, "I'm afraid it's unnecessary."

Cao Kun said again, "Be prepared."

Sam White turned to look at Cao Kun, and seeing his confident and sure-fire demeanor, he couldn't help but feel a little strange.

Just as he was about to ask something, a staff member came out and called out, "Marc-Dujan."

The short-haired Japanese man immediately stood up: "It's me."

Full of confidence, he followed the staff into the audition room.

But less than two minutes later, he was carried out of there by two people.

Judging from his pale face and pained expression, something had clearly happened.

Sam White stared at it all in disbelief, his eyes wide open.

However, he noticed that Cao Kun next to him was calm and showed no surprise.

The staff member called out again, "Bruce Han."

The Korean man with medium-length hair stood up, composed himself, and followed the staff member to calm his surprise and secret delight.

But just as he reached the door of the audition room, his body suddenly went limp and he collapsed to the ground.

Immediately afterwards, his body began to convulse, he foamed at the mouth, and his lower body became wet.

Soon, a foul stench wafted over.

This guy completely lost control of his bladder and bowels.

The staff were startled and quickly called for help.

After a while of work, the Koreans were also cleared out, leaving only Cao Kun as the Asian auditionee.

Sam White's eyes nearly popped out of their sockets. He looked at Cao Kun, wanting to say something, but Cao Kun calmly said, "Be prepared to negotiate."

Sam White swallowed hard, swallowing back the words that were about to come out.

"Kun-Cao," the staff member called out.

Cao Kun stood up and reminded him, "It's Cao Kun."

A dozen minutes later, Cao Kun and his staff walked out of the audition room.

A staff member approached Sam White: "You must be Cao Kun's agent. You can go to the production office to discuss your salary."

Outside the production office.

Cao Kun could clearly hear Sam White arguing with someone inside.

Outside, besides Cao Kun, there was a white actor and his agent waiting.

This is another actor playing a white security guard.

After taking a few glances, Cao Kun realized that this guy looked somewhat familiar.

After thinking about it, I remembered.

Ryan Reynolds, the actor who plays Deadpool, is a Hollywood heartthrob.

Charlize Theron was his girlfriend.

Scarlett Johansson, who plays Black Widow, is his ex-wife.

Blake Lively, one of Hollywood's four rising stars, is his second wife.

These are just the publicly disclosed cases; the number of undisclosed cases is still unknown.

Of course, these are all things that happened later.

After all, Ryan Reynolds is still a complete newcomer.

The Black Widow is only 13 years old now, still a little kid.

Seeing Cao Kun looking him up and down, Ryan Reynolds nodded to Cao Kun as a greeting.

Cao Kun nodded in response and then closed his eyes.

Seeing this, Ryan Reynolds couldn't help but glance at Cao Kun a few more times. It was the first time he had seen such a cold and aloof Asian.

A few minutes later, the office door opened, and Sam White walked out looking satisfied.

He winked at Cao Kun, indicating that it was done.

In fact, Cao Kun had already heard it clearly.

After Cao Kun and his companion went inside and signed the contract, Ryan Reynolds' agent went in.

Cao Kun didn't have to do much to hear that the starting salary being discussed inside was $30,000.

Ryan Reynolds' agent was not satisfied and was still negotiating for a higher salary.

Both roles were security guards with few lines, yet Cao Kun's salary was several times higher.

Cao Kun was not surprised.

That's the status of people of Chinese descent.

This is the US, this is Hollywood.

Once outside the Columbia Building, Sam White couldn't wait to ask, "What's the deal with those two Asians at the audition?"

Cao Kun looked at Sam White but didn't say anything.

Sam White felt a little uneasy under his gaze: "You didn't do anything to me, did you?"

Cao Kun countered with, "What do you think?"

Sam White: "I don't know."

Cao Kun: "That's not important. What's important is that we got the role."
