Chapter 305 Something's not right with Fang Meng.

In the end, Liu Yanan couldn't stand it anymore and whispered to An Yun about the two of them being in a relationship.
The car had already arrived at the Fuxing County Public Security Bureau, but the man was still in a daze.
The group was on a business trip to provide technical support. After returning, they would need to write a simple written report for the Public Security Bureau and then file it.
By the time we finished, it was almost dark. There was a single dormitory for Bai Nuo at the Public Security Bureau, in a tenement building behind the bureau. The room was small, only about 20 square meters, and could only fit a single bed and some small furniture.
Bai Nuo has his own courtyard in the county, and he didn't plan to live there. However, if he was busy on weekdays, he could go there to rest for a while, so he stayed and put a set of daily necessities inside.
"Then I'll head back first?" An Yun stood at the entrance of the police station, intending to take Liu Yanan home first, and then go back to her own home.
Although An Yun had not yet met the requirements for housing allocation due to her length of service, she was still a member of the county government's secretariat and had already applied for a single dormitory in a tenement building within the county government's residential compound, which was much larger than Bai Nuo's small 20-meter dormitory.
Aren't you going to your great-uncle's for dinner?
At this hour, both the company canteen and state-run restaurants were already closed. Bai Nuo and Fang Meng were too lazy to go back to the courtyard to cook for themselves, so they simply went to the old, run-down street to freeload a meal.
"No, I don't think so!" An Yun pursed his lips and shook his head. Not only that, he also subconsciously took half a step back, as if afraid that Bai Nuo would come over and pull him away.
Bai Nuo rolled her eyes speechlessly: "Is my great-uncle really that scary?"
"That's for you!" An Yun glared at Bai Nuo with a wronged expression.
Thinking back to when I was little, every time I saw my maternal uncle, the first question he would ask was either "How many points did you get on the test this time?" or "Have you finished your homework?" or "You should think about what you want to do when you grow up so that the elders in your family can make arrangements for you."
The childhood trauma was immense!
As a result, An Yun is now afraid whenever she sees her maternal uncle, fearing that the old man will open his mouth and say, "When are you planning to get promoted?"
I'm scared, so scared!
"Alright, stop teasing him, he's about to cry!" Fang Mengkan pushed two bicycles over.
They parked the jeep in the backyard of the Public Security Bureau. Normally, they would just wander around the county town and the brigade, and a military jeep was too conspicuous. So this time, they applied to Director Liu, who was also Liu Yanan's biological father, to park the car in the backyard of the Public Security Bureau when they had nothing to do, and they could just ride bicycles back and forth.
Bai Nuo smiled as she took her women's bicycle, then waved to An Wen: "Alright, alright, I won't tease you anymore. Remember to take Sister Ya Nan to the Qishui Brigade for dinner tomorrow."
“No problem, do you need anything?” Anwen nodded readily. He had long wanted to visit the place where his little cousin and Fang Meng had gone to the countryside. He had heard from people in the commune that Qishui Brigade had been particularly lively in the past six months.
"You go to visit someone and you even ask the host if they want you to bring anything?" Liu Yanan tugged at An Yun's sleeve speechlessly and muttered under her breath.
"What's the big deal? I always go to their place empty-handed, and I always get to eat and take things without any problems!" An Yun said with a smile as she approached her boyfriend, her tone full of pride, but her voice was very soft.
"Let me tell you, this isn't called taking advantage, it's called exploiting a big spender."
Liu Yanan looked at An Yun with embarrassment and helplessness. She knew that the three of them had a good relationship, but she had never done such a thing before. After all, these days every family was struggling to make ends meet, especially when it came to food. Even if you didn't bring any food when you visited someone, you still had to bring some gifts.
This is the social etiquette her mother taught her from childhood.
"It's alright, Sister Yanan. Come to our house, just listen to your cousin!" Bai Nuo smiled nonchalantly.
“That’s right!” Fang Meng nodded in agreement, then looked at An Yun and said, “We don’t need anything when we go. We can just go for a walk in the mountains and have enough meat and vegetables.”
“Alright, it’s settled then!” An Yun nodded readily, straddled the bicycle seat with her long legs, and gestured with her chin toward the back seat: “Ya Nan, let’s go, I’ll take you home.”
Seeing that the three siblings had made up their minds, Liu Yanan could only smile helplessly and say, "Then we'll be going now. Nono, Comrade Fang, see you tomorrow."
"See you tomorrow!"
Bai Nuo waved with a smile. After An Yun and Liu Yanan rode away, he got on his own bicycle and rode with Fang Meng, each on a bicycle, towards the old, dilapidated street.
At this time, Yu Guosheng had already eaten dinner. When Bai Nuo and Fang Meng arrived, they were sitting in the courtyard, enjoying the breeze and drinking tea.
"Hey, what brings you two here at this hour? Have you eaten yet?" Upon seeing the two people push open the door, she quickly stood up, her eyes full of joyful smiles.
"Not yet, I just came here for dinner." Bai Nuo's bicycle was taken by Ping Nan, who came to greet her. She strode to the stone table, poured herself a cup of tea, gulped down most of it, and then breathed a sigh of relief.
The little girl was pampered and spoiled by everyone in her family since she was a child. In front of her family, no one would ask her to maintain all those aristocratic etiquette.
"Grandpa, Uncle Pingnan, sorry to bother you," Fang Meng greeted with a smile and politeness.
He had never been particular about etiquette in front of Bai Nuo's family before, but things were different now. As the future son-in-law (as he had defined himself), he had to behave well.
