Bai Nuo had little contact with the Xiang family, but this was the first genuine care she felt after waking up, simply because she was the younger sister recognized by Xiang Chong, and even some of the elders in the Xiang family had never met her.

Teachers have said that the most precious thing in the world is sincerity, and the only thing we should never betray is sincerity.

She carefully remembers every principle her teachers teach her, and she strives to complete every task she undertakes.

Even if they never appear again, she will try her best to live the life they would have wanted her to live.

After leaving the post office again, Bai Nuo took the bicycle, put the small package that her sister Shang Xiangchong had mailed for her in the front basket, and when she passed an empty alley, she took the package she was going to give to her grandparents out of her spatial storage and tied it to the back seat before riding the bicycle to the old, run-down street.

More than half an hour later, Bai Nuo pushed her bicycle and crashed through the gate. It wasn't that she was being too rough in getting home, but rather that she was holding onto the handlebars and the large, heavy package on the back seat made it impossible for her to reach the gate.

Upon entering, I saw several tall, burly men standing in the courtyard, each looking fierce and menacing. You'd think it was a gang stronghold.

"Comrade Bai!"

"Hello, Comrade Bai!"

The burly men hadn't expected to run into their boss's beloved niece while they were just checking accounts. They immediately became somewhat reserved and at a loss, afraid of scaring the cute little girl.

Bai Nuo's lips twitched slightly. Luckily, these older brothers didn't call her "Miss," or she would have really thanked them.

"Why did you come at this time?" Ping Nan quickly walked over and took the bicycle from Bai Nuo's hands, his eyes filled with affectionate concern.

"I have something to take care of. I'll let you know when I get home, so you won't worry if you can't find me." Bai Nuo ignored her bicycle; she was going to the city anyway and would be leaving it there anyway. She just reached into the basket and took the small package.

"You guys go about your business, don't worry about me, I'm going back to my room." Bai Nuo looked at the burly men who seemed afraid of scaring her, amused. When she first went to the black market, they didn't have this attitude.

Pingnan smiled and patted the little girl's head: "If you're not in a hurry, go back to your room and rest. The old man will be back soon."

"Okay!" Bai Nuo nodded with a smile.

She and Fang Meng each had their own room in this courtyard, and it was fully furnished.

The furniture and items in her room were all things that little girls would like, and Yu Xuling had specially prepared them for her. If it weren't for the fact that this era didn't allow it, she suspected that her little cousin could have made her a princess room.

Bai Nuo returned to her room, which was spotless. Even the blankets and pillows in the closet were dry, so she didn't need to tidy up even if she came back anytime without saying goodbye.

There's nothing she can do; she has two hardworking, considerate, and incredibly doting cousins.

Sitting on the kang (a heated brick bed), Bai Nuo first opened the letter that her older sister, Xiang Shangchong, had written to her. It was full of ordinary daily life stories, rambling on and on, but it was filled with warmth and intimacy. It was just a letter from an older sister to her younger sister, ordinary yet full of sincerity.

She also mentioned that there were two little dresses in the package, one made by Xiangshangchong's mother and the other bought for her by Xiangshangchong at the Shanghai International Trade Center after she received her salary.

She said that young girls in Shanghai all like to wear these kinds of polyester dresses nowadays, and she thinks that her younger sister would definitely look better in them than those girls, so her younger sister must have one too.

However, her mother felt that the ones bought from the mall weren't as pretty as the ones she made herself, so she insisted on adding another one, resulting in two little skirts in the end.
