"A-Tong, make me a puppet clone."

"..."

The system's eyes widened in disbelief as it looked at its troublesome host. "Host, how could you say such shameless things so easily? Do you know how many points a puppet clone costs in the mall? You haven't done anything yet, and you're already trying to get something for free."

"What are you saying? How could you say that to me?" Bai Nuo sat up abruptly, her brows furrowed, her expression even more shocked than the system's, with a hint of sadness in her eyes.

"You're the one who said the laws of this world are strict. If I sneak into Old Ma's house now and don't have an alibi, I'll be arrested and put in a cage if they trace it back to me. It's not just my problem. Don't forget, if something happens to me, we'll both be finished."

"..." The system pouted, looking at its bandit host with reluctance but having no choice but to compromise: "Then, then we can only use it for this one day. Humanoid puppet clones are very expensive in the store."

"Okay, okay!" Bai Nuo replied softly as she got out of bed. "Don't worry, don't you know how I've treated you? Back in the apocalypse, I never let you do anything. I was always the first to rush in when there was danger. I always let you have a bite of the good food I found. When have I ever let you suffer a loss? In the future, when I've earned a lot of points, I'll buy you whatever you want. You've got your eye on a lot of system skins, right? I'll buy them all for you. After we die peacefully in this world and go back to your home together, you'll definitely be the coolest guy in the entire system world."

"Really? Really?!" The system was completely bewildered, as if it could see a bright future.

"Of course, of course, hurry up." Bai Nuo quickly changed into a black fitted tracksuit, then tidied the blankets on the bed and said to the system, "Put the puppet clone in the blankets. No one will come to check at night. Even if someone comes, they won't suspect anything when they see a clone on the bed that looks exactly like me. But you should still leave a system clone here, just in case something goes wrong."

"good!"

Having agreed, the system didn't delay and quickly placed an order in its system shop to exchange for the lowest-level version of the puppet clone. It then commanded the puppet clone to scan its host's entire body. In just a few seconds, a person exactly like Bai Nuo appeared on the bed, lying on his side in the blanket with his eyes closed, fast asleep.

The System Mall is a data program specifically designed for the system. The items inside are cheaper than those in the Time-Space Mall. It's considered an employee benefit provided by the central system control room to the smaller systems. It also contains many things that the systems need, such as various skins and automatic repair programs.

Although A-Tong is currently unable to contact the central control room, it does not affect its use of the system in the marketplace.

After tidying everything up, Bai Nuo quietly arrived at the ward door. She glanced outside through the door and window and saw only a young police officer sitting on a bench reading a book. Reassured, she turned around and quickly walked to the window.

These days, not many people can come to the hospital for treatment, and even fewer are hospitalized. Bai Nuo's ward is a five-person room, but she has been there for a day and no other patients have been arranged to come in. She doesn't know if the police made a special arrangement or if it was just a coincidence, but it was convenient for her.

Bai Nuo went to the window, took out a black baseball cap and mask from her spatial storage, put them on, and then quietly opened the window. She placed her hands on the windowsill, but before she could jump out, the little system in her spatial storage suddenly exclaimed.

"Wait, little ancestor, this is the third floor, the third floor! Your body hasn't been tempered by superpowers yet. If you jump down like this, you'll be crippled even if you don't die. What's the point of us playing then?"

Bai Nuo rolled her eyes speechlessly: "Do you think I'm a tiger? Just jump straight down like that? There are stepping stones outside the wall, I just saw them. It's only the third floor. Even if I'm weak, I can get down. Just shut up."

After saying that, Bai Nuo used her arms to flip herself out, not forgetting to add, "Go out and close the window."

"..." It's just a cow, a hardworking and selfless cow!

The system couldn't help but complain inwardly, but it still dutifully appeared to close the window.

Bai Nuo quickly left the hospital, then found a secluded spot and took out a black electric scooter from her spatial storage. Luckily, she had a penchant for collecting supplies in the past, and her spatial storage was large enough that she could collect anything she found, whether useful or not.

Electric vehicles are considered junk in the post-apocalyptic world, but they've unexpectedly come in handy here. Plus, time is restricted in her spatial storage, so she used solar panels to fully charge several vehicles before putting them in the storage when she had nothing else to do. She never thought they'd be useful again.

In those days, everyone went to bed early at night, and there wasn't a soul on the streets, only the cold moonlight overhead casting a dim glow on the ground.

The electric scooter Bai Nuo took out was black, and coupled with her all-black attire, as she moved quickly through the dimly lit streets, she was so convincing that even if someone did see her, they would probably be terrified, let alone be spotted.

The hospital wasn't far from the machinery factory's residential compound where Lao Ma's family lived; it only took about ten minutes to get there. Bai Nuo stopped in a small alley next to the compound, stored the electric scooter, and quickly headed towards Lao Ma's house.

"Is this the place?" The little system, invisible beside Bai Nuo, helped its host observe the surroundings at all times, and whispered, "I've confirmed it, everyone inside is asleep."

As he spoke, Bai Nuo stretched out his hand, stopping two centimeters from the keyhole, and then a faint green light flickered in his palm.

"Are you sure you can force your powers right now? Don't try to do the splits!" The little system looked at its troublesome host with concern.

Bai Nuo rolled her eyes speechlessly: "I told you eight hundred times back in the apocalypse, stop watching Northeasterners chat and argue. What have you learned from that?"

This guy not only went by himself, but also loved to drag her along, claiming that she was living without any human warmth and that he wanted her to go and absorb some of that warmth. Well, the result was... she, a Shanghainese born in the south, ended up with an accent that was neither southern nor northern because of this stupid system.

While the two were complaining and disliking each other, a thin, delicate green vine, as thin as a hair, appeared in the green light.

The little vine gently brushed against Bai Nuo's palm, then, according to its master's wishes, it split off a thin thread and burrowed into the keyhole.

With the small vines controlling it, the unlocking process is completely silent, making it even safer than using wire to unlock the door.

The door slowly opened, and then a black figure darted inside.
