Chapter 5: I'm not going to live anymore, I'm going to destroy the country.

Bai Nuo lay back down, pulled the blanket over her head, and then began to bargain with her stupid system.
"Come on, let's talk. How are you going to compensate me for this accident?"
"Compensation?"
The system was dumbfounded. Just moments ago, the host was sitting on the hospital bed with a blank expression, looking gloomy as if he had just crawled up from the underworld. How could he suddenly ask for compensation?
"Of course, back in the apocalypse, I said I was already young and had lived enough, and I had no desire to save anyone, much less become a savior. Your merit system binding me is useless. My greatest strength is my lack of virtue; I've never accumulated any merit. You insisted that I inherently possessed merit, making me the most suitable host for you, that I only needed a little bit to accumulate enough, and then you'd take me to another, better parallel space to enjoy life. And what happened..."
Bai Nuo couldn't help but roll her eyes, and then launched into another tirade: "The result is that not only did you not take me to my destination, but you also got into a car accident along the way, knocking me into this parallel space where it's hard to find food and clothing, and even damaging my brain. Do you know how hard I've struggled to live these past sixteen years, especially these last two years? I haven't had enough to eat or wear. What else is there here besides monsters and war?"
You might as well send me back a few years, at least I could go on a killing spree and have some fun, and who knows, maybe even save some of the heroes of this world's war-torn era from sacrifice."
Although she had been mentally impaired for sixteen years, her grandmother used to tell her stories about the older generation, and the plots in those stories were very similar to the war-torn history told by her teachers in her previous life.
Although she is immoral and sometimes even inhuman, she is truly patriotic because of the teachings she received in her past life and the influence of her mother, grandparents, and uncles in this life.
If possible, even in a different dimension, she hoped to change the course of history to some extent, even if it meant sacrificing one less person, it would still be a gain.
Unfortunately, she has a stupid system!
Damn it, the more I think about it, the angrier I get!
Unable to contain his anger, Bai Nuo spoke up again, demanding that this stupid system compensate him.
"Don't forget, this is a normal world, not the apocalypse we used to live in. Back then, I could survive by killing zombies and getting their crystal cores. But in this world, I've been a fool for sixteen years, and I still can't do anything."
My grandma and the others are still nowhere to be found. How am I going to live? I won't earn any money. What will I eat, wear, and spend? Should I become an assassin? After all, that seems to be the skill I'm most capable of right now. But you said before that murder is illegal in this world, that you'll end up in a cage, and the food there is absolutely awful.
It's all your fault. I told you I didn't want to live anymore and that you should find someone else, but you wouldn't listen. You insisted on saying that life was wonderful and that there would be no good days in the underworld after you died, which ended up dragging me down with you.
Anyway, I don't care. You won't compensate me, and you won't let me commit suicide. Fine, when I recover, I'll first kill all the enemies who harmed my grandfather and the others, and then I'll smuggle myself to the US.
The system, which was racking its brains to coax the irritated host, was suddenly dumbfounded and couldn't figure it out.
With a question mark on his face, he asked, "What are you going to do?"
Bai Nuowen smiled gently and sweetly, her tone calm: "Go do what I've always wanted to do in my past and present lives."
"Huh, what's up?"
"Destroy the nation!"
She spoke in the gentlest, sweetest voice what sent chills down everyone's spine!
"No, calm down, Bao'er, we have to stay calm. You wait, you wait, I'll look it up. I have it, I'm sure I have it."
After saying that, he turned around and rushed into the system space.
That's fucking terrifying!
He knew before that his current host would be difficult to manage, but he never expected that a host who had been reborn would be even more difficult to manage!
In the past, when he encountered the islanders who harmed the Flower Kingdom in the apocalypse, he would just torture and kill them without saying anything. After all, it was the apocalypse, and human ethics and laws were gone. Even the controllers of that world had dispersed. Otherwise, no crazy islander would dare to bully people on the Flower Kingdom's territory. The host could kill them whenever he wanted.
Now look what's happened, they're about to be wiped out!
This won't do! When he left home, that big shot dragged him away and gave him instructions: he absolutely cannot let anything happen to this host, or he will be recycled and scrapped.
The system didn't dare to delay at all. It quickly pulled out a string of data code and said, "Host, I have some new system code developed by a top expert. It's perfect for us. I'll install it now. We're not going to be the merit system anymore. Wait for me, wait for me."
After saying that, the system quickly and accurately accessed its own central control data.
Anyway, his original merit system data was completely broken, so it's good to replace it with a new one. I hope the host will be satisfied.
Bai Nuo noticed that the system had automatically shut down, and then a slight smile appeared on her lips.
Although she wasn't a psychic, she had awakened two abilities, so her mental strength was stronger than that of most single-type ability users. Breaking through a system's control center wasn't difficult for her. Plus, her system... was really easy to fool. So, during the six months or so in the apocalypse, she had enough time to figure out the system's true nature.
She knew it possessed many valuable items, and that the central control data could be swapped. The Merit System's code wasn't suitable for her; it was more of a constraint than a help. If that was the case, considering their years of mutual dependence, she wouldn't destroy the creature, but she also wouldn't keep it.
If it were a different central control system that would make her more comfortable, having such a companion wouldn't be bad.
She never rejected having close friends and family around her, but the environment of her previous life was the least suitable place for trust. After her teachers passed away one after another, she was free from shackles and responsibilities, and she also lost the ability to trust others.
