Chapter 2 Uncle Policeman, I Want My Mom
Reading Settings
Bai Nuo dragged the person from his dilapidated storage room to the living room, then grabbed the person's head and slammed it hard against the wall next to the living room door again.
With a loud bang, the wall was instantly stained blood red.
Bai Nuo then let go of the man's hand, allowing him to slowly slide to the ground.
He then turned back to his dilapidated storage room, looked at the blood on the wall, and said, "Clean up the marks on the wall."
She's feeling dizzy right now, and blood is still flowing from her head, but it's slowing down a bit compared to when it started. It won't kill her anytime soon; as long as it's not a life-threatening injury, it's a minor matter for her.
I can clean it myself, but it's not as clean as a system cleanup. And with the technology of this era, a system cleanup would definitely be undetectable.
"Nono, I am a system, and my current program..."
Bai Nuo rolled her eyes and interrupted the system with a rather irritable tone.
"Stop talking nonsense. Don't think that just because I'm not in good condition right now and my mental energy is disordered, I can't subdue you."
"..."
The system pouted in grievance, "Just clean it up, why are you being so fierce!"
The tiny robot reappeared out of thin air, one mechanical arm holding a small spray bottle and the other holding a special little brush. It waved its small mechanical wings and sprayed the blood-stained walls in the storage room, then scrubbed them vigorously with the little brush.
No one knew what was spraying out, but the bloodstains on the wall quickly decomposed and disappeared, drying rapidly as if nothing had happened.
"Nono, where is this?" The system pointed to the corner of the low wooden table next to it, which was stained with blood.
That was the spot where Bai Nuo had bumped into before she woke up; the bloodstains under the hard, rough, and barbed corner of the table were quite obvious.
"It's not needed here, but it will be useful later!"
Bai Nuo glanced at the storage room one last time, and finding nothing amiss, turned and waved: "Let's go."
Where are we going?
The system quickly flew to Bai Nuo's head, tilted its little head and asked a question, but it was just a question. In this world, he only had Bai Nuo, so naturally he would go wherever Bai Nuo went.
"Heh!" A sweet, soft laugh rang out, but it was eerily cold. "Go where Foolish Bai Nuo should go."
She turned and opened the door. The sun was shining brightly outside, and Shanghai in April was already starting to heat up. But the girl, with bloodstains on her hair and a deathly pale face, was icy cold all over, like a demon who had just crawled out of hell, exuding a gloomy and malevolent aura.
However, the moment that little foot stepped out of the door, the chilling aura vanished instantly, and the pale little face was filled with panic and fear.
"Nono, what's wrong?"
An elderly woman standing next door was startled when the door suddenly opened. She turned around and saw the little girl with blood all over her head running out. She was even more shocked and shouted in the local Shanghai dialect.
"Oh dear, what have you done to me!"
"Goddess of Baidu (Great Goddess), police, find the police, hit, hit me."
The girl looked at her neighbor with a panicked and terrified expression. Her eyes were red and her whole body was trembling as she said something in a broken and tearful voice, but it was still clear enough for everyone to hear. After saying that, she ran towards the stairs without looking back.
The old lady next door stood there stunned, and before she could even ask anything, she saw the girl run away quickly.
"This, this..."
The old lady next door stared blankly at the Ma family's gate, then subconsciously took a few steps in that direction. As soon as she reached the door, she saw the eldest son of the Ma family lying on the living room floor, his life hanging in the balance. She gasped and cried out in alarm.
Bai Nuo kept running, ignoring everyone on the way, and dashed into the police station, which was just two streets away.
It was noon, and there were only two police officers on duty at the entrance of the police station. The door was pushed open from the outside with a "bang," and the two officers instinctively looked up and saw a little girl covered in blood running in crying.
"My God, what's going on?"
The police officer, who was around forty years old, quickly stood up and strode around to the young girl.
"Uncle, uncle, police officer, he hit me, he hit me!" The girl clung tightly to the old police officer's sleeve, sobbing uncontrollably.
A few words, coupled with her terrified yet slightly dazed and hazy eyes, immediately made the experienced police officer realize that the girl in front of him was unusual.
“You…” The old policeman frowned slightly and quickly said to his apprentice behind him, “Quickly, go and call the doctor from our station, and also call a female colleague over.”
"Little girl, don't be afraid. Uncle is a policeman. You're safe here. Don't be afraid. Tell me slowly. The policeman will protect you." The old policeman looked at the thin little girl in front of him, and then at the blood on her head. His heart couldn't help but feel sad.
He also has a daughter at home, whom he dotes on and protects like a little princess. If anyone dares to hurt his daughter like this, he would rather die than give up this outfit.
"Master, I know this girl." Before the little apprentice could even run to find her, he suddenly recognized the girl's face and gasped.
The apprentice wasn't one to mince words. Before his master could even ask, he quickly said, "This is the daughter of the Ma family in the machinery factory's residential compound over in Taiping Lane. I heard she's the daughter of a woman who married out of town. Her parents are both gone, so she came to stay with them. And... and this girl isn't very bright. I had to help her transfer her household registration from the next city."
"No father or mother?" The old policeman felt even more uncomfortable upon hearing this, and quickly waved his hand forcefully: "Alright, go and call someone right away."
