"What's going on?"

Sang Yuwan's brows furrowed, her expression seemingly calm, but inwardly her emotions were turbulent.

Where are you now?

The deep male voice was like a profound river flowing slowly under the night sky, carrying an undeniable composure and strength. His speech was neither hurried nor slow.

Sang Yuwan frowned. Her starry eyes were like two bottomless pools of icy water, devoid of both warmth and emotion. "The Bo family."

"The Bo family?" The other person was clearly taken aback, their tone becoming somewhat tense. "What happened?"

"Where are you now?" Sang Yuwan pursed her lips, her eyes unfathomably dark. Sunlight brushed across her cheeks, but seemed to be blocked by an invisible layer of coldness, unable to melt away the indifference that emanated from within.

"I'm coming right away," the other person said anxiously, without answering her question.

Sang Yuwan looked at an osmanthus tree not far away, a faint red tinge appearing in her eyes.

"Beep beep beep..."

The other party abruptly hung up the phone.

Sang Yuwan slowly removed the phone from her ear, her brows furrowing more and more deeply.

As Xiansi watched her retreating figure, he felt inexplicably lonely.

She mustered her courage and asked, "Madam, what's wrong?"

Just then, a dark cloud blocked out the sunlight, and the sky became gloomy.

The emotions of a woman in her twilight years are like a delicate and intricate brocade. Each thread carries different feelings and thoughts, intertwining and weaving together in a way that defies description.

She took a shallow breath. "I'm tired and want to rest."

Xian Si was immediately filled with anxiety. "I'll call Dr. An right away."

Sang Yuwan immediately rejected the idea, saying, "No need."

Xuan Si, on edge, said, "How about we get Dr. Jiang to come over?"

Sang Yuwan put her phone back in her coat pocket and continued walking.

String thought followed closely, every cell in his body tense up.

Today's chaotic scene was really exhausting.

In her opinion, Sang Yuwan didn't need to come here in person.

Ning Xin'er's behavior is suspected of intentional injury and can be handled in an official manner.

Sang Yuwan treated her according to the Bo family's rules, which was already merciful to her.

With a heavy heart, Xian Si stayed with Sang Yuwan at the Bo family's old residence.

Push open the door.

The rushing air, carrying a biting chill and a frigid aura, swept through the entire space. It was silent yet powerful, seemingly able to penetrate thick clothing and reach the very marrow, causing one to involuntarily shiver.

This cold air mass, carrying the unique freshness and chill of winter, instantly froze the surrounding air, making even breathing clear and visible, with white mist swirling around.

Xian Si hurriedly said, "Madam, please stand at the door for a moment, I'll go turn on the air conditioner."

Sang Yu nodded late.

In the past, she would have gone straight in.

Now that I'm pregnant, I want to be careful about everything.

Such changes will likely increase in the future.

Strings strode inside and quickly turned on the air conditioning.

In less than ten minutes, the air in the room warmed up, and my slightly cold fingers warmed up.

Sang Yuwan frowned slightly and stepped inside.

After she sat down, Xiansi went to the kitchen to prepare food for her.

Jiang Wu had instructed her that Sang Yuwan's diet should consist of small, frequent meals.

Sang Yuwan naturally couldn't trust the servants at the Bo family's old residence.

A moment later, Xiansi brought a bowl of fragrant egg noodles to her.

"Madam, please try it first and see if it suits your taste."

Sang Yuwan picked up her chopsticks and was about to start eating when there was a knock at the door.

Xian Si was taken aback, then quickly walked over.

She opened the door, her breath catching in her throat. An expression of disbelief crossed her face. "Second Master?"

The man standing at the door, wearing a black overcoat, was slightly out of breath. "Is Madam inside?"

Strings replied, "Yes."

Rong Zhi spoke in a low voice, "You come out first."

Xian Si's heart tightened, and she turned to look inside. After hesitating for two seconds, she lowered her head and walked out.

Almost simultaneously, Rong Zhi brushed past him at the door.

Thud—

As soon as Xiansi stepped out, the door was gently closed.

Rong Zhi strode inside and saw the woman sitting on the sofa; his breathing became heavy.

"The evening glow fades."

He spoke slowly in a low voice.

Sang Yuwan slightly lifted her eyelids and curled her lips into a slight smile. "Heh."

Rong Zhi strode quickly to her side, his steps heavy and urgent. Each step seemed to urge time to pass faster, and the air was filled with a sense of urgency that left no room for delay.

He didn't sit down next to her, but instead sat on the single sofa beside her. His eyes were bright.

"Disobeying again?"

Sang Yuwan glanced at him out of the corner of her eye, picked at the noodles in her bowl, and her expression turned cold. "Rong Zhi, do you think I'm a three-year-old? That I have to listen to everything you say?"

Rong Zhi's gaze fell on her, and the smile on his lips darkened.

Seeing that he remained silent, Sang Yuwan smiled faintly, "Second Master, are you hungry?"

A complex expression flashed across Rong Zhi's eyes, his deep, dark eyes remaining unfathomable. "Not hungry."

From the moment he entered, Sang Yuwan didn't give him a proper look.

Just as she was about to pick up a noodle and put it in her mouth, Rong Zhi suddenly stood up and snatched the chopsticks from her hand.

The noodles fell to the ground.

"Second Master is truly saying one thing and meaning another." Sang Yuwan frowned slightly.

Her tone of voice, while still maintaining basic politeness and restraint, seemed carefully chosen, carrying a subtle chill that made one involuntarily feel a tension in the air. Her breathing also seemed slightly more rapid than usual.

Rong Zhi took a tissue, bent down, cleaned up the noodles that had fallen on the ground, and then sat down next to her.

Even the air seemed to become light and slow in this subtle moment.

Sang Yuwan couldn't help but turn her head and look at Rong Zhi.

Their eyes occasionally met, then quickly looked away, like stars that twinkled inadvertently in the night sky, brief but bright, leaving an indescribable emotion lingering in the air.

Rong Zhi's eyes were deep, containing a hint of inquiry and tenderness.

Sang Yuwan's eyes, however, were as clear as water, but the ripples within them betrayed the turmoil in her heart. She bit her lip and then stood up.

Rong Zhi grabbed her arm, his tone gentle yet firm, "Sit down."

Sang Yuwan frowned and moved to the side.

Rong Zhi pressed down on her shoulder, "Sit still and don't move."

Sang Yuwan's heart tightened, and her breathing became shallow and rapid.

Rong Zhi picked up a piece of noodle from the bowl and brought it to her lips.

Sang Yuwan's expression froze, and her lips pressed into a straight line.

"Open your mouth." Rong Zhi gently raised his arm, his eyes softening considerably.

Sang Yuwan's chest heaved violently, each breath like a small boat on a turbulent sea, swaying precariously in the wind and waves, yet stubbornly struggling forward.
