"You should really think about yourself."

Sang Yuwan spoke in a cold tone, his expression dignified.

The servants quickly brought the family rules.

Seeing this, Bo Yuheng and his group exchanged glances and began to whisper among themselves.

"This situation suggests that something serious has happened."

"Who is that woman Ning Xin'er tied up? I've never seen her before."

"She looked sickly, like she was about to die..."

"Shut up, all of you!" Bo Yuheng roared at the crowd.

The group exchanged bewildered glances and then suddenly fell silent.

Fang Yi noticed that Bo Yuheng's mood was a bit off. She frowned slightly and whispered, "Sir, the doctor advised you not to get agitated..."

Bo Yuheng was recently released on bail, entirely thanks to Old Master Shen's connections.

Upon hearing this, his face turned ashen, and he gave Fang Yi a cold glance, his temples throbbing.

Seeing that he remained silent, Fang Yi silently looked at Bo Qingmei, who was sitting against the pillar.

My eyelids suddenly twitched violently; I felt like I'd seen this woman somewhere before.

I tried to think about it carefully, but I couldn't remember.

At this moment, Sang Yuwan walked to the ancestral tablets, paused, turned around, and looked at everyone.

“Ning Xin’er, as an outsider, dared to cause trouble in my Bo family ancestral hall. Tell me, shouldn’t she be punished?”

Upon hearing this, Ning Xin'er curled her lips indifferently, a contemptuous smile in her eyes.

Unsure what to say, everyone turned to look at Bo Yuheng.

Bo Yuheng took a deep breath, his face dark and gloomy. He remained silent for a few seconds before slowly speaking, his voice low and menacing, "He should be punished."

A look of astonishment flashed across everyone's eyes.

It is rare that Bo Yuheng and Sang Yuwan could reach a consensus.

Fang Yi looked at Bo Qingmei sitting on the ground, and a doubt immediately arose in her heart.

Who exactly is this woman?

Upon hearing this, Sang Yuwan's expression hardened, her delicate features flashing with a chilling light. She gave Ning Xin'er a cold glance and said to the servant holding the family law, "Execute the family law."

"Yes, Master." The servant replied, then cracked his whip.

Snap—

The long whip pierced the air, making a cracking sound.

Not only Ning Xin'er, but also some people from the second and third wives' families were terrified.

Ning Wanzhen's face paled, and her lips trembled. "Patriarch, please show mercy."

Ning Xin'er bit her lip, her eyes filled with anger as she stared intently at the shiny whip in the servant's hand.

The whip looks smooth, but it's actually full of barbs.

Her heart skipped a beat for no apparent reason.

Sang Yuwan's expression was cold as she responded to Ning Wanzhen, "Ning Xin'er's unauthorized kidnapping of someone is extremely serious. Legally and morally, we cannot show leniency."

Ning Wanzhen looked up, her eyes red. "Does it have to be so heartless?" Her gaze trembled, and she added, "Are you not going to show me any mercy at all?"

A sinister glint flashed in Ning Xin'er's eyes, and a mocking smile appeared on her lips.

Bo Yuheng's gaze darkened, his eyes turning sinister.

The others all looked on with amusement.

Sang Yuwan lowered her eyelids slightly, looked at Ning Wanzhen kneeling on the prayer mat, and said in a cold voice, "Is face more important, or human life?"

Ning Wanzhen clenched her fingers, her lips turning purple instantly. "If that's the case, then punish me as well. Xin'er is my niece; she's willful and misbehaving, and I have failed in my duty to discipline her."

Sang Yuwan's face darkened, and she raised her voice, "If it's not your responsibility, why insist on taking it upon yourself?"

Ning Wanzhen's chest heaved, her voice hoarse, "You don't need to pretend to defend me. Come on. Give me as many lashes as you want to give Xin'er."

Everyone watched the show, their eyes and brows full of mocking smiles.

Sang Yuwan and Ning Wanzhen were both from the main branch of the family, and the more they made a scene, the happier these people were.

Bo Yuheng, however, kept a gloomy face and kept his gaze fixed on Bo Qingmei's face.

Fang Yi noticed it and pressed her fingertips hard against her palm.

Even if she was slow to react, she could tell that Bo Yuheng's feelings for Bo Qingmei were somewhat unusual.

In front of everyone, she couldn't afford to lose her temper, so she could only suppress her surging emotions.

Inside the ancestral hall, incense smoke curled and wisps of white smoke drifted in all directions, making the air increasingly solemn.

A cold glint flashed in Sang Yuwan's eyes. She looked at Ning Xin'er and said sternly, "Ning Xin'er, you have committed a crime in the Bo family, and you should be punished according to the Bo family rules."

Ning Xin'er, with an arrogant and nonchalant expression, said, "You keep saying I've done something wrong, so please tell me, what exactly have I done wrong?"

Sang Yuwan said coldly, "You kidnapped someone..."

"Hmph." Ning Xin'er snorted coldly, interrupting. Then, she curled her lip, "This woman is none other than..."

Ning Wanzhen's face turned pale instantly. She opened her mouth, but only managed to utter a single word, "Xin'er..."

Upon hearing this, Bo Yuheng's chest heaved heavily, and his lips almost formed a straight line.

Fang Yi had been staring at him, and seeing this, she bit her lip in anger. A woman's innate jealousy made her lose her temper. Before Sang Yuwan could speak, she blurted out, "This woman isn't just anyone, could she be a member of the Bo family?"

Bo Yuheng's face instantly darkened like the bottom of a pot. He turned his gaze and angrily shouted, "Shut up! You have no right to speak here!"

Fang Yi's eyes suddenly reddened, and her throat tightened. Her eyes widened, filled with pent-up anger.

Sang Yuwan glanced at the two of them and said coldly, "Both of you, be quiet."

Although she was a generation younger than them, her demeanor and bearing far surpassed theirs.

Fang Yi lowered her head, becoming even more afraid to utter a sound.

Bo Yuheng's face was dark, and the veins on the back of his hand gradually bulged.

He looked at Bo Qingmei, a chilling red tinge appearing at the corners of his eyes.

Sang Yuwan's expression hardened, and she spoke again, "Ning Xin'er, say what you just said in front of the Bo family ancestors."

Ning Wanzhen's face turned ashen, and she swallowed hard. "Xin'er, I've been married into the Bo family for so many years, and I've never known that there was such a person in the Bo family." She paused, then reminded her, "You must not talk nonsense in front of the Bo family's ancestors."

Fang Yi's suspicions deepened when Ning Wanzhen denied it.

Could this woman be one of the mistresses of the three Bo brothers?

Bo Yuheng is so nervous, could it be his woman?

She thought about it again.

If this woman is indeed Bo Yuheng's former lover, Ning Wanzhen has no reason to defend her.

Fang Yi's heart skipped a beat, and her eyes suddenly widened.

This woman is most likely Bo Yuanshan's mistress.

Fang Yi couldn't help but let out a cold laugh, her gaze towards Ning Wanzhen filled with a mixture of mockery and pity.

She held her breath, waiting for Ning Xin'er to speak.

Everyone in the ancestral hall was waiting for Ning Xin'er to speak.

Ning Xin'er's lips curled up, and she raised her eyebrows triumphantly, "Auntie, this woman was sent away by Uncle a month before you and Uncle got married. Of course you never met her."
