Sang Yuwan frowned instantly, her eyes darkening. "Let him come up."
"Yes." Xian Si put away the documents on the table, walked quickly to the stairwell, and took a breath. "Ming Lang, move aside."
"This?" Minglang turned his back to her, spread his arms, and forcefully blocked her way.
Rong Zhi stepped up a step, gave him a cold look, and his eyes flashed with a sharp, icy light.
“Bright,” Xiansi called out again.
Minglang bit his cheek and angrily withdrew his hand.
Rong Zhi strode upstairs and sat down opposite Sang Yuwan, his posture casual.
Minglang looked at him, seething with hatred.
Xiansi tugged at his arm, signaling him not to make any rash moves.
Sang Yuwan took a couple of sips of coffee, slightly raised her eyes, and asked indifferently, "Second Master, you've come so early in the morning, are you here to pay your respects or to apologize?"
His tone was cold and sarcastic.
Rong Zhi's brow furrowed slightly, and his long, strong fingers tapped lightly on the edge of the dining table.
The delicate and rhythmic sounds were like a light rain brushing across a tranquil lake, creating ripples that were subtle yet clear.
As dusk settles, my heart ripples like a still lake, and my heartbeat becomes somewhat erratic.
Rong Zhi looked at her quietly, smiling faintly without saying a word.
Sang Yuwan's heart tightened, and her delicate brows furrowed. "It seems the injury isn't serious."
Rong Zhi's eyes remained calm. "The doctor said I need to rest for a week."
Sang Yuwan remained expressionless and ignored him.
Rong Zhi lowered his eyelids slightly, his deep gaze falling on her pretty face, and his lips curved upwards, "Won't Madam invite me for a cup of coffee?"
Sang Yuwan's eyes narrowed, and she said in a deep voice, "Rong Zhi, I don't have time to waste words with you."
Rong Zhi's lips curled slightly, and he casually lowered his eyes, "Are you sure you want to say this in front of them?"
Sang Yuwan's heart tightened, and she said, "Xiansi, go make Second Master a cup of coffee."
"Yes." Xian Si understood and pulled Ming Lang downstairs.
Sang Yuwan lost all appetite. She took a napkin, wiped her mouth, and said, "Go on."
Rong Zhi smiled and said, "No rush."
Sang Yuwan's emotions flared, and a hint of anger appeared in her eyes. "Rong Zhi, don't push your luck."
Rong Zhi pursed his lips, "It was Madam who provoked me first."
Upon hearing this, Sang Yuwan's face flushed with anger. Looking into those deep, dark eyes, she demanded sharply, "Rong Zhi, what exactly do you want?"
Rong Zhi looked at her, his gaze intense. After a few seconds of silence, he spoke softly, "Child."
Sang Yuwan laughed in anger, a sarcastic smile curving her lips, and said, word by word, "Delusion."
Rong Zhi smiled slightly, "You need a child, I'll give you one. What's wrong with such a mutually beneficial arrangement?"
Sang Yuwan frowned, "Truly worthy of being Bo Xingzhi's good brother."
Rong Zhi's smile faded, and his eyes darkened. "He is him, and I am me."
Sang Yuwan sneered, "Birds of a feather flock together."
Rong Zhi narrowed his eyes. "The longer this matter drags on, the easier it will be for someone to find out."
Sang Yuwan's heart pounded, her lips pressed tightly together, and an uncontrollable rage burned within her chest. She picked up her coffee cup and took two sips.
The coffee had cooled down; it was bitter and astringent.
A glint flashed in Rong Zhi's eyes, gone in an instant. He smiled, his thin lips curving upwards. "From now on, I'll drink milk instead."
Sang Yuwan paused for a moment, then suddenly realized.
A reminder is also a warning.
She is currently pregnant.
Bang--
Sang Yuwan's patience ran out. She slammed her coffee cup down on the table, got up, and went upstairs.
Rong Zhi looked up at her back and smiled meaningfully.
When Xian Si brought the coffee up, she was slightly taken aback to find that he was the only one at the table. "Second Master, your coffee."
Rong Zhi withdrew his gaze and stood up. "I have something to do. We'll drink next time."
Xian Si froze, thinking to herself, "Is he coming again?"
Even though he wasn't a direct descendant of the Bo family, he was still nominally Bo Xingzhi's younger brother. The mere sight of Sang Yuwan standing next to him would draw criticism.
Rong Zhi walked to the top of the stairs, paused, and turned his head. "Assistant Ji, don't worry about things you shouldn't."
Xian Si's heart skipped a beat, and her fingers curled up.
Rong Zhi stepped downstairs.
Xiansi took a deep breath and quickly went upstairs.
"Madam, the Second Master has left."
After changing her clothes, Sang Yuwan came out, her emotions much calmer. Only her eyes remained unusually bright from anger.
Feeling uneasy, Xian Si asked, "Madam, shall we still go to the medical center?"
Sang Yuwan checked her phone, her gaze unusually cold. "Why aren't you going?"
Xian Si replied, "I'm worried that Second Master will use this matter to blackmail you."
Sang Yuwan sneered, "Let him be."
Xiansi didn't say anything more, but she was still very worried.
-
One hour later.
Sang Yuwan and Xian Si entered the Jiangcheng Assisted Reproductive Medical Center.
With connections and the added advantage of their financial resources, they were able to use a special channel.
Privacy and professionalism are both top-notch.
Xiansi first obtained a confidentiality agreement for Dr. Jiang, who was treating her, to sign before proceeding to the next step.
Blood tests, lab work, a whole series of physical exams.
Sang Yuwan was quite annoyed, but she had no choice but to patiently follow the doctor's instructions.
The arrow is on the string, and it must be released.
She must get pregnant as soon as possible, or everything will be for naught.
After finally finishing the inspection, Sang Yuwan immediately threw herself into her work.
I reviewed several important documents and checked the progress of several major projects.
Working non-stop, with time compressed to the extreme.
Just as she picked up her water glass, ready to take a sip and calm down, Dr. Jiang came over with the test results.
"Wanwan, the report is out, your current condition..."
Sang Yuwan's heart skipped a beat, and a faint sense of foreboding arose within her.
She put down her water glass and asked in a cold voice, "Aunt Jiang, how is the situation?"
Xiansi looked nervous.
Dr. Jiang handed the medical report to Sang Yuwan with a grave expression. "Wanwan, the report shows that your current physical condition is not suitable for embryo transfer surgery."
Xiansi was startled and looked at her in disbelief, her palms sweating profusely.
Sang Yuwan's expression froze slightly, her pretty face turning icy. "Are you sure?"
Dr. Jiang took the pen and pointed to several data points on the report, saying, "I'm absolutely certain. Look at these data points; they're clearly abnormal. Even with surgery, success is unlikely."
Upon hearing this, Sang Yuwan's expression changed drastically.
Suppressing her anxiety, Dr. Jiang continued, "Don't be too anxious. Once these data reach normal levels, we can schedule the surgery."
Sang Yuwan asked, "How long will it take to meet the standard?"
Dr. Jiang replied, "At the fastest, it will take three months; at the slowest, it will take six months."
Xian Si felt a cold sweat break out on his back as he listened.
The pregnancy test report given to Bo Yuheng showed that Sang Yuwan was four weeks pregnant. Now, with the surgery, she could barely manage to get away with it.
Wait another three months, and the lie will fall apart on its own.
"Do we really have to wait three months?" Xuan Si couldn't help but interject.
Dr. Jiang nodded.
Xian Si looked at Sang Yuwan and lowered her voice, "Madam, how about we go somewhere else?"
Although Sang Yuwan was anxious inside, she maintained a calm demeanor. After a few seconds of pause, she slowly spoke, "Aunt Jiang, what do you think?"
Dr. Jiang said, "Wanwan, forgive my bluntness, but the result will be the same no matter where you go."
