Ye Ling was unaware of Wen Yanchen's thoughts. She said to her third brother, "Third brother, can we go somewhere first and then go to the villa?"
Zhao Xingang has killed someone and is in a precarious situation. If we bring him out now, give him some clothes and food, we might forge a good relationship and perhaps it will bring us unexpected benefits if we meet again in the future.
Lin Lan had given him a bag of cookies back then, and he remembered it, later helping her and Shen Xing a great deal. Although they had no further contact after that, his help was crucial to Lin Lan and her family.
Where are you going?
"The shelter, to see someone."
"Okay, let's make a turn. Which refuge camp? I'll guide you."

The shelter's three main doors were tightly shut, blocking everyone's way out.
Zhao Xin said to the community workers, "Could you please open the door? I don't think you want to be with a murderer, do you?"
The staff really didn't want to be in the same space as him. The fruit knife in his hand still had bloodstains, and his clothes and face were covered in blood, making him look sinister and terrifying.
They discussed it and finally agreed to let him go.
However, I still reminded him: "The situation outside is not optimistic, take care. Comrade, don't kill indiscriminately."
If the police had been called, Zhao Xin would have been arrested and taken away by now.
Thank you.
He knew, of course, that the situation outside was bad. He had seen on the internet that many animals and plants had mutated and were attacking people everywhere, and that anyone who encountered them would surely die.
But he didn't want to stay here anymore; he felt disgusted by these hypocritical and selfish people.
The moment the heavy iron door was opened, a biting cold wind rushed out, making the people inside shiver.
It's so cold! The temperature is so low, and it looks like it's snowing!
It's August, the hottest time of the year, and it's snowing outside! It's like the heavens are trying to kill them.
"Mom, I'm cold, so cold!"
"My God, what kind of weather is this? It's freezing!"
"Damn it, we didn't bring down jackets! This is going to freeze us to death!"
"We're lucky, at least we're in a shelter. Those buried in the rubble probably won't live to see tomorrow."
"Those people, sigh, there's no way they'll survive. It's their own fault for staying home even though they knew there was an earthquake."
Hearing the whispers behind him, Zhao Xin's eyes flashed with sarcasm before he braved the cold wind and went outside.
As soon as he stepped out, the door behind him slammed shut.
It was pitch black outside, with no streetlights or car lights. He stood there for a while, adjusting to the darkness, before he could make out the general scenery in front of him.
He chose a direction to walk in, but the wind was too strong and the snowflakes hitting his face made him even more awake.
"Walking at night is too dangerous; I must find a place to stay as soon as possible."
He hadn't walked far when he saw lights in the distance. The lights got closer and closer until they stopped in front of him. Only then did he realize what was happening and cautiously back away.
Wen Yanchen rolled down the car window and looked at Zhao Xin: "Excuse me, is there a shelter nearby?"
Looking at his gentle and handsome face, Zhao Xin secretly breathed a sigh of relief: "Yes, it's up ahead. But they won't open the door right now, and there's no room inside anymore."
Disappointment flashed in Wen Yanchen's eyes: "Oh, I see. Well then, let's find somewhere else. Friend, where are you headed? Do you need us to give you a ride?"
On our way here, there was no one on the ground, but there were quite a few man-eating mutant animals.
