Ye Qingbai was visibly taken aback when he saw the girl next to Bai Zhi, and his dark, handsome face showed a hint of embarrassment.

He replied, "My brother-in-law is not at the camp these past two days. They went to training. He asked someone to pass on a message to me, asking me to pick you up at the station today."

"I've been looking for you for a while now, but I haven't seen you yet. I was afraid I'd miss you."

Upon hearing this, Bai Zhi realized that Ye Qingbai was sent by Lu Ye, and it seemed that he had nothing to do with Shen Qian.

Bai Zhi looked at Ye Qingbai and smiled.

"Cousin, it's only been a short time since we last met, why do you look so thin and dark?"

However, it looks much more solid.

Ye Qingbai sighed, "Don't even mention it. How can going back to the army compare to being at home? We're exposed to the wind and sun all day long."

Bai Zhi looked at Shen Qian and asked, "You didn't contact anyone to pick you up, did you?"

I must have said that on purpose to turn down those shop owners.

After all, she was a military doctor.

Shen Qian touched her nose and replied, "Yeah, nobody's here."

"Then let's go with my cousin."

Ye Qingbai arrived by car, and the two followed him and got into the car.

Because Bai Zhi had jokingly tried to matchmake the two of them before, Shen Qian felt somewhat uncomfortable after getting into the car.

Ye Qingbai started the car, glanced back, and asked, "Where is Dr. Chen going?"

Shen Qian didn't answer Ye Qingbai, but looked at Bai Zhi, "Lu Ye isn't at the camp, right?"

Bai Zhi nodded, "Didn't my cousin just say that he won't be back until tomorrow night?"

"Can I stay here for the night? It's too late to go back to my dorm tonight. I'll come over and pack tomorrow." She looked at Bai Zhi expectantly, wanting to go with her.

Her vacation hadn't started yet, and she had nothing to do back in her dorm.

The key issue is that if I suddenly go back now, the sheets and blankets haven't been washed, so I can't sleep.

Bai Zhi couldn't wait for Shen Qian to accompany her to the military family compound.

After a half-hour drive, the Jeep stopped at the entrance of the family compound.

Ye Qingbai got out of the car to help carry the luggage.

Shen Qian didn't let him bring it up, saying, "I'll do it myself."

Bai Zhi curiously looked around at her surroundings.

Even under the streetlights, she could still clearly see that the residential compound consisted of two-story buildings.

Shen Qian and Bai Zhi followed Ye Qingbai into the family compound.

Ye Qingbai walked ahead and introduced, "Cousin, your husband's house is on the second floor. You can get there by going up from here."

He led the person to the door of the room on the left side of the second floor, "This is the one."

He then took the key and opened the door.

He turned on the lights, invited them in, and introduced them with a smile, "Not bad, right? A small two-bedroom apartment."

The house was simply furnished, with a simple sofa and table in the small living room, and it was very clean.

Shen Qian looked around, puzzled. "This wasn't the house before."

When she came to the army last year, she was once unwell and was fortunate enough to be invited into Lu Ye's house for a drink of water. She remembers that she was unwell in that house.

Ye Qingbai said,

"He used to be a company commander, now he's a deputy battalion commander, and he's made such a great contribution, he'll definitely be reassigned housing."

After he finished speaking, he smiled and looked at Bai Zhi, "Actually, this was specially applied for by your brother-in-law for you. In the past, he would have stayed in any office without making any requests to the organization."

"Is that so?" Upon hearing Ye Qingbai's words, a warm smile appeared on Bai Zhi's face.

Before leaving, Lu Ye said that he would ask her to come over after he had made the arrangements.

He did it all.

"This house comes with a small kitchen, so you can cook for yourself here from now on."

"Cousin, I cleaned the house during the day, and the sheets and duvet covers were washed. However, I didn't know Dr. Shen was coming, so it seems that the small bedroom in your house isn't made up. You'll have to figure out how to make it yourselves."

It was getting late, and Ye Qingbai couldn't linger any longer.

"Okay." Bai Zhi said to Ye Qingbai, "Cousin, it's getting late, you should go back and rest."

Ye Qingbai glanced at Shen Qian and replied, "Okay, Dr. Shen is familiar with this area, let her show you around."

After Ye Qingbai left, Bai Zhi closed the door and sat on the sofa to chat with him.

Do you come to the military base often?

Shen Qian smiled and said, "When I came here on official business, I came to see Lu Ye a few times. Because of this, they all misunderstood that Lu Ye liked me."

Bai Zhi looked at her strangely, "You came back and still brought your own bed sheets?"

Shen Qian took her things into the small bedroom. "You can tour your future house first. I'll tidy it up myself."

Bai Zhi found a single quilt in the closet and gave it to Chen Qian.

While Shen Qian was making the bed, Bai Zhi carefully walked around the room.

In the bathroom, next to the army green towel, there was an extra pink towel, along with a toothbrush cup and toothbrush, all neatly arranged next to his toiletries.

There were also pink cotton slippers on the bedroom floor.

There was a cream-colored loungewear set in the closet, exactly the same as the one she wore at home.

These warm-colored women's products added a touch of color to this cold and dull room.

She greeted Shen Qian and then went back to her room to rest.

She rolled over on Lu Ye's bed.

He's not here.
