When Lu Ye arrived at the courtyard, it was pitch black. He opened the gate and went inside.

Bai Zhi had just lain down when she heard some noise outside.

Dr. Li and Dr. Yang went home to rest tonight, so she's all alone here.

She finished washing up early, read a book in her pajamas for a while, then turned off the lights and prepared to go to sleep.

Then I heard a rustling sound outside.

She sat up gently. The moon was bright outside, and she could see the scene in the courtyard clearly without turning on the lights.

Without thinking, she quickly turned on the light, opened the door, and rushed out.

"Lu Ye, what happened?"

When Lu Ye saw the girl running out, a look of annoyance flashed across his face in the darkness, and he tightened his grip on the person on the ground.

"Did I disturb you?" he asked softly.

"This person is..." The person on the ground knelt down, face down. Although the moonlight was bright, Bai Zhi still couldn't see the other person's face clearly.

Lu Ye picked up the person on the ground like a chick and turned him over.

Bai Zhi recognized him immediately when she saw his face clearly. "Isn't this the car thief from a few days ago?"

"Great hero, spare my life!" the man on the ground pleaded.

"Wasn't stealing the car last time enough? What's your purpose in breaking into our house today? Revenge?" Bai Zhi held a pin in her hand and stabbed it into Ma Xiaojun's face.

They took Ma Xiaojun from Lu Ye's hands and handcuffed him.

Lu Ye escorted Bai Zhi back to her room.

Lu Ye could tell she was frightened today, so he gently comforted her, "Go to sleep, don't be afraid, I'm here."

Lu Ye came out of Bai Zhi's room and gestured for her to close the door and go to sleep.

"Okay, you should rest too."

Bai Zhi closed the door, and Lu Ye returned to his room, but did not lie down to sleep.

After waiting for about an hour, the two comrades who escorted Ma Xiaojun returned.
