Chapter 628 Arrest
"I don't know." Qin Luofeng showed no sign of anything unusual. "Perhaps your behavior is a bit abnormal, or perhaps Grandpa has heard something."
Qin Muchuan's face was somber.
That is indeed possible.
The old man has a wide network of information, so it's not difficult for him to find out some things.
"Go back first." He didn't delve into the matter further. "I have something to talk to you about."
Qin Luofeng: "Okay."
The two walked out as they were talking.
Before they could take two steps, Ning Jing and a team of police officers blocked their way. Ning Jing first showed his identification and went through the formalities before calmly saying, "Please come with me. You are suspected of a premeditated murder case."
"Is there some misunderstanding?" Qin Luofeng remained calm.
“There is no misunderstanding.” Ning Jing said matter-of-factly, “The evidence we have received points to the two of you. Please come with us to cooperate with the investigation.”
Qin Muchuan opened his mouth to curse.
Qin Luofeng nudged him with his elbow.
Qin Muchuan frowned: "What are you doing!"
Qin Luofeng remained calm: "Go with them first, I'll handle anything that comes up."
Qin Muchuan paused.
Then he remembered that Qin Mo had promised to do his best to resolve this matter.
"You need to be careful to remain silent when they talk to you later." Qin Luofeng was worried that he would give himself away under Ning Jing's interrogation. "No matter what Ning Jing and the other police officers say or ask, don't say a word."
Ning Jing is too good at getting information out of people.
It subtly gets Dad to reveal those things.
If you tell the truth, there's no room for negotiation; if you don't, you can still try to maneuver.
"Understood," Qin Muchuan said.
Ning Jing ignored their whispers and had them taken away.
"Hey, what got into you two, father and son?" Qin Muchi watched the scene unfold with a nonchalant air. "Why did the police have to be called in?"
A few simple words.
He made Qin Luofeng and Qin Muchuan both turn their heads to look at him.
Qin Muchuan immediately looked at Ning Jing and asked, "Aren't you going to arrest him?"
Ning Jing: "Who?"
"Qin Muchi," Qin Muchuan blurted out.
"Of all the evidence we have, only the two of you have committed a crime." Ning Jing unusually didn't waste time trying to extract information.
"impossible.
The last two words were not uttered yet.
Qin Luofeng spoke first: "Let's go, Captain Ning."
Qin Muchuan's heart tightened, and he realized that he had almost blurted out the truth without realizing it.
He took a deep breath.
He planned to remain silent no matter what Ning Jing asked him later.
“Nephew, you must interrogate them properly.” Qin Muchi was so happy to see this that he stopped pretending. “Those two have a lot of bad intentions, especially Qin Muchuan, who has caused a lot of harm.”
Qin Muchuan stopped and glanced at him.
Qin Muchi immediately said, "Look, he's glaring at me!"
Ning Jing didn't say much and left with them.
She bumped into Yu Peiyun as she came out of the restroom just as she reached the door. Seeing the silver handcuffs on Qin Luofeng's hands, she frowned slightly and immediately stepped forward to stop them: "What are you doing?"
"They are suspected of a murder case." Ning Jing was refined and noble, exuding a calm and composed demeanor. "Take them back for questioning according to the law."
“What murder case? How could they kill people at home every day?” Yu Peiyun was immediately dissatisfied, not even considering Jiang An’s involvement. “Stop pinning these unfounded accusations on them.”
“Madam Yu, please do not obstruct our investigation,” Ning Jing said.
Yu Peiyun wanted to say something more.
Qin Luofeng spoke up, "Mom, you go back first."
Yu Peiyun looked worried: "How can I... if you all do this..."
"Come back with me," Qin Luofeng reminded him. "We're fine."
Yu Peiyun paused, then realized that they had been taken away because of that incident.
She wanted to say something more, but Ning Jing had already taken her away.
Watching them disappear from sight, Yu Peiyun immediately went to look for Qin Mo. Because the manor was too big, she searched for ten minutes but couldn't find him. Finally, she remembered to call him.
Qin Mo met up with her ten minutes later.
He was accompanied by Old Master Qin and others.
Without thinking twice, Yu Peiyun rushed over to Qin Mo and said, "Luo Feng and your father have been arrested. You need to find a way to get them out quickly. You said you would do your best."
"I know." Qin Mo remained calm.
"Then what are you waiting for? Go do it!" Yu Peiyun urged.
Qin Mo: "It's already been arranged."
Yu Peiyun: "?"
Yu Peiyun frowned: "You..."
Didn't she just tell him? How come it's already been arranged?
Her mind raced, and she quickly came to an answer, which made her gaze towards Qin Mo sharp and questioning: "You knew they would come to capture Luo Feng and your father?"
Just as Qin Mo was about to speak, Yu Peiyun said the next sentence.
"So, what you said about doing your best was all a lie?" Yu Peiyun said emotionally. "If I had known you were this kind of person, I shouldn't have..."
She suddenly stopped talking.
Qin Mo asked calmly, "What shouldn't be?"
Yu Peiyun: "I shouldn't have..."
Qin Mo remained calm: "Shouldn't you have given birth to me?"
"Get your dad and Luo Feng out of here as soon as possible." Yu Peiyun avoided the topic. "They can't stand being in the police station. Get them out of here as soon as possible."
“They will be taken home in two hours,” Qin Mo said. “I know this because my grandfather told me.”
Yu Peiyun subconsciously looked at Grandpa Qin and Jiang Ruan beside her.
The words that were about to come out just stopped there.
"I'll go back first." Qin Mo looked at Old Master Qin, still the same cold and aloof CEO Qin. "I'll discuss the matter you entrusted to me with him properly."
"Go ahead." Old Master Qin's feelings were mixed.
He knew that Yu Peiyun and Qin Muchuan didn't have deep feelings for Qin Mo.
But seeing it with my own eyes still reveals a complex and indescribable complexity.
Why can't such an outstanding child receive attention and care from his parents?
"Let's go." Qin Mo looked at Yu Peiyun.
Yu Peiyun exchanged a few polite words with the old man before leaving.
Watching their figures recede into the distance, Old Master Qin asked Jiang Ruan, "What do you think Qin Mo is thinking right now?"
Jiang Ruan: "I don't know."
Old Master Qin: "If it were you, would you feel upset hearing those words?"
Jiang Ruan: "I don't know."
Old Master Qin was somewhat surprised.
Jiang Ruan gave the reason: "Without real experience, you can't give an answer. You can't truly empathize just by imagining it."
Even with similar experiences, the feelings are only a fraction of what is felt.
"That's true." Old Master Qin nodded in agreement. "Qin Mo has been more sensible and obedient than his peers since he was a child. When we asked him if he missed his parents when he was little, he clearly did but never said so. As he grew up, he became even less able to express it."
"Because he knows that whether he speaks or not, it won't change anything." Jiang Ruan sees this clearly.
Qin Muchuan and Yu Peiyun's personalities meant they were destined not to be very good to Qin Mo.
Sometimes, favoritism has nothing to do with whether someone is excellent or not.
