Chapter 512 The Upright Qin Mo
"What are your thoughts?" Qin Mo asked emotionlessly.
“She’s a major shareholder. Although her 20% stake doesn’t give her enough voting power, she still has a lot of influence,” Qin Luofeng said. “Aren’t you afraid she’ll ruin your plans?”
"No," Qin Mo said.
Qin Luofeng: "Why?"
Qin Mo looked down at the documents in his hand and replied naturally, "We have the same goal."
Qin Luofeng: "?"
What's the meaning.
"We all want the Qin Group to do better and better." Qin Mo is a very upright person with a clear understanding of things, "instead of treating this place as a battleground for fame and fortune."
A simple sentence stirred up a storm in Qin Luofeng's heart.
At that moment, he suddenly realized why his grandfather valued Qin Mo so much. Besides Qin Mo's own excellence, he was the only one among them who cared for the Qin family, not for himself.
Regardless of him, or his father and second uncle.
The struggle is all about consolidating one's own power and seizing more things.
“What if she wants to dismiss you?” he asked again.
"She won't." Qin Mo repeated those three words.
Qin Luofeng opened his mouth as if to ask how he knew.
But upon closer reflection, Jiang Ruan is indeed not that kind of person.
If she were acting out of self-interest, the shareholders wouldn't have approved of her so quickly.
"Is there anything else? If not, I'll go to the meeting room first." Qin Mo's relationship with him was indeed very distant, to the point that they couldn't find anything to talk about except for a few basic questions.
Qin Luofeng pursed her lips, and after a long while, she finally said, "I've had a falling out with my father."
Qin Mo paused.
Qin Luofeng continued, "He also wanted to target Jiang Ruan, but I refused."
"You did the right thing." Qin Mo said very little.
“He said I’m not as good as you, that I’m not as clean as you,” Qin Luofeng continued, his gaze fixed on his brother’s face, wanting to see how his brother would respond. “He said I’m useless.”
"His only ally is gone, he's bound to be furious for a while." Qin Mo paused briefly before regaining his composure. "He'll apologize to you in less than two days."
"And you?" Qin Luofeng asked him, "Do you think I'm as good as you?"
"You are a person, not a commodity," Qin Mo said, closing the file. "Just do your best. As long as you don't get worse than before, that's progress."
Qin Luofeng: "I thought you would say that my methods were despicable."
“It is indeed unacceptable.” Qin Mo never tolerated anyone. “But the fact that it can be changed is already commendable.”
"You're really honest," Qin Luofeng laughed. "Aren't you afraid I'll get angry because of what you said?"
"You'll know what I'm going to say when you come to me." Qin Mo stood up, intending to go to the conference room. "If you can't even accept this much, you're not Qin Luofeng."
After saying this, Qin Mo went to the conference room.
Qin Luofeng stood there for a while, until his phone notification sounded again, before he came back to his senses.
Unlock and open.
It was a message from Qin Muchuan: "You've gotten quite bold, haven't you? You're not even replying to messages anymore."
Qin Luofeng stared for a while, but still didn't reply.
After briefly calming down, he went to find Jiang Ruan.
Jiang Ruan was surprised to see him.
Right now, she's at the company getting familiar with a new project. Having just become a shareholder, there are so many things she needs to understand and handle. Once this busy period is over, she'll be able to come to the company occasionally.
"Are you free?" Qin Luofeng knocked on the door.
Jiang Ruan put down what she was doing, her eyes gentle: "Sit down."
Qin Luofeng didn't hold back either.
As Jiang Ruan flipped through the documents, she asked, "Is there something you need?"
Qin Luofeng opened his mouth.
He wanted to tell his aunt about it, but he couldn't bring himself to say it no matter how many times he tried.
What if Jiang Ruan calls the police to arrest him after I tell her?
He didn't want to continue opposing her to his father, but he also didn't want to get into legal trouble.
"What's wrong?" Jiang Ruan asked after waiting for a long time without him speaking.
"It's nothing," Qin Luofeng finally lacked the courage. "I just came to see if you're settling in well here."
Jiang Ruan: "I'm quite used to it."
Qin Luofeng: "That's fine then."
Jiang Ruan: "?"
Jiang Ruanxin was puzzled.
Given her relationship with Qin Luofeng, it wouldn't be so good that he would come to her to say these things.
"If there's anything you're not familiar with or don't understand, just ask Qin Mo." Qin Luofeng thought for a long time and could only come up with these awkward words. "Although he seems cold, he will patiently answer your questions."
"Mm." Jiang Ruan nodded.
Qin Luofeng was momentarily at a loss for words.
He tightened his grip on her hand, then finally stood up to say goodbye: "Then I won't bother you any longer."
Jiang Ruan: "?"
Jiang Ruan watched him leave.
After he walked away, Jiang Ruan looked at Tang Bai and Mo Mo, who were busy by the window, and asked, "Don't you guys think he's strange?"
“Yes,” Mo Mo said.
“He probably wanted to talk to you about something,” Tang Bai observed his micro-expressions. “But when he actually saw you, he had some reservations, so he didn’t say those things.”
"What could possibly happen between us?" Jiang Ruan couldn't believe it.
Mo Mo: "I want to please you and share your money."
Tang Bai: "Do you think everyone is like you? All you think about all day is money."
"A life without thinking about money is no different from a salted fish," Mo Mo said seriously.
Tang Bai wanted to refute.
I've discovered that there's a tiny bit of truth to that statement.
Money you don't want is money you already have.
“Tang Bai.” Mo Mo suddenly looked at him.
Tang Bai instinctively became alert: "What?"
Mo Mo asked seriously, "Do you need a bodyguard?"
Tang Bai: "?"
Jiang Ruan, who was flipping through the documents, was speechless.
“Once you take over the Tang family, you’ll be quite wealthy.” Mo Mo said very seriously, “If you need bodyguards, I can work part-time.”
“I’m still here,” Jiang Ruan reminded her.
This guy.
He switched jobs and sought employment right in front of her.
“It’s okay, I can protect both of you at the same time.” Mo Mo said very seriously, “We’re together every day, it would be a shame not to do this part.”
Jiang Ruan: "?"
Jiang Ruan looked at them and asked, "What do you mean?"
"Didn't Tang Bai tell you?" Mo Mo was quick to speak. "He said that regardless of whether he takes over the Tang family or not, he will stay by your side as your bodyguard and driver and will not go back to the Tang family."
Jiang Ruan looked at Tang Bai.
The latter nodded readily: "Yes."
"Don't you manage the company?" Jiang Ruan asked.
“There’s nothing to manage.” Tang Bai didn’t like the Tang family. The only reason he was willing to manage it was because his mother had shares in it. “As long as I get all the shares in Tang Sheng’s hands, I can have a vote.”
Jiang Ruan thought for a moment.
Too.
Shares are what really matter.
The president is ultimately chosen by the board of directors, and if they don't like him, they can simply remove him.
"When do you plan to talk to him?" Jiang Ruan asked, thinking that this matter had been dragging on for so long. "I don't have anything major going on here recently, so you don't need to worry about Mo Mo's safety while he's with you."
"I'll go later," Tang Bai said directly. "I'll ask him to meet me at the coffee shop across the street."
"It's alright as long as there's something to do." Jiang Ruan was very kind to her own people, and then added with a touch of arrogance, "Your young lady at least has some status and position now."
"Don't worry, I'll take care of you 100%." Tang Bai smiled.
