"Do you understand?" Huo Sinian's hand caressed her waist.

"We haven't filmed yet," the assistant said. "We'll start filming next week at the film studio."

He took out his phone and called his secretary, coldly instructing, "Have someone find the director and screenwriter of Lin Tan's film crew and delete all her remaining dangerous scenes."

The secretary replied, "Okay."

"Mr. Huo..." Assistant Sisi hesitated before speaking.

Huo Sinian's calm gaze fell on her. He didn't say a word, but Sisi felt a chill run down her spine.

She fidgeted with her fingers, somewhat unsure of what to do.

"What's wrong?" Huo Sinian asked.

“Those dangerous scenes are important parts of Lin Tan’s character.” Sisi tried to say a few words in Lin Tan’s defense. Although she was Huo Sinian’s person, she had seen Lin Tan’s hard work and dedication to acting during this time. “If they are cut, the character will be incomplete and unappealing.”

Huo Sinian stared at her through his glasses.

Sisi lowered her head, not daring to look him in the eye, and continued, "Sister Lin Tan has put a lot of effort into this role and has studied it for a long time. She would be sad if she knew it was being cut."

"This is not something you should be thinking about," Huo Sinian said slowly, his tone carrying an undercurrent of pressure. "You are just an assistant I sent to her side, nothing more."

Huo Sinian lifted his eyelids slightly.

Sisi immediately shut up.

After listening to the whole thing, Sisi roughly understood why Huo Sinian wanted to delete Lin Tan's dangerous scenes.

“That’s all.” Sisi knew Lin Tan’s scenes very well. “Those dangerous scenes were in the last few, but…”

He couldn't say the rest under Huo Sinian's gaze.

Lin Tan only found out about this after she got up.

After washing up, she planned to find an excuse to go out and buy medicine, but was stopped by Sisi and her bodyguard.

“What do you need? We’ll go buy it,” the bodyguard said.

"President Huo had those scenes cut this morning," Sisi told her directly without hiding anything. "Your scenes are finished."

Lin Tan was stunned.

A moment later, she took out her phone, found Huo Sinian's number, and dialed it. As the dial tone sounded, her anger rose little by little.

"Awake?" Huo Sinian's gentle voice came through the phone when it connected.

"Sisi said you cut my scenes from the later episodes?" Lin Tan asked as calmly as possible, without provoking him.

Lin Tan stopped.

Huo Sinian said, word by word, "Don't forget what your original intention was in making this film."

"Or is it that your original intention in making this film wasn't to buy me a birthday present?" Huo Sinian knew perfectly well that she was trying to force her to say those things, "but rather to get me to let you go and continue your career?"
