Chapter 311 Is he legless or just lost his way home?
"I don't know," Mo Mo answered truthfully.
"Then you'll film a video?" Jiang Ruan asked.
“Keep it as evidence.” Mo Mo took these answers seriously. “If Tang Bai is injured, this video can be used as evidence to demand medical expenses from the other party. If Tang Bai subdues the other party, this is also evidence of their crime.”
Jiang Ruan now truly felt that Mo Mo and Tang Bai were quick-witted.
Especially Tang Bai.
The moment the middle-aged man rushed up, he didn't hesitate for a second and immediately called her "Dad," fooling even her, the boss.
With that in mind, she sent Tang Bai a message, telling him to cooperate with the police and to call her if he needed anything.
Just as she clicked send, Qin Mo walked in from outside. Dressed in a black suit, he looked even more serious and aloof than usual. His gaze fell on her, and he said, "I will give you an explanation for what happened outside."
"Okay." Jiang Ruan did not refuse.
"This is the company's organizational structure and information on each management level." Qin Mo handed her the documents. "After you've read them, I'll introduce you to those people."
Jiang Ruan took it and said "Okay".
Her mother had already shown her the information and circumstances of these people at home, and she could basically recite everyone's information and circumstances by heart. But knowing is one thing, the process still needs to be followed.
She finished reviewing all the documents in twenty minutes.
Compared to Mom's, this one only contains simple, basic information.
"Okay." Jiang Ruan handed the documents back to him.
For the next hour, Qin Mo took her to various departments of the company. In each department, he introduced her to the situation there and the managers. Of course, after visiting all the departments, she got to know most of the people in the files, and there were still a few who were away on business and not in the company.
"Is there anything else you'd like to know?" Qin Mo asked her after completing the process. "Just tell me."
"I need to digest what I've learned today for a while," Jiang Ruan said, not making too many demands. "We can talk about the rest later."
Qin Mo didn't say much.
After exchanging a few words, I saw them off.
The two were polite and distant throughout, and you couldn't tell at all that they were cousins.
"Boss," Mo Mo asked casually as they entered the elevator, "Why didn't you go check on the finance department just now?"
“Finance is a core part of a company, and it’s not appropriate for me to understand that in my current position.” Jiang Ruan was well aware of all this. “When Qin Mo introduced me to the others just now, some people had objections.”
Small companies like Medcare are better off; there isn't as much backstabbing and infighting.
Qin Group is a large listed company. Qin Mo suddenly introduced her to them in a very serious manner, even though she had no fame or achievements. Some people had some thoughts, but they did not show them because of Qin Mo's status.
“You’re right.” Mo Mo opened the car door for her.
Jiang Ruan sat down.
Just as he was about to ask him to go to the police station to pick Tang Bai up, Mo Mo, who was in the driver's seat, suddenly said, "You've grown again."
Jiang Ruan: "??"
Jiang Ruan looked at him suspiciously.
"Given time, you will definitely become a very capable boss," Mo Mo said seriously, "making those who have opinions or grievances about you now look at you with new eyes."
"What's wrong with you?" Jiang Ruan felt that something was off about what he was saying, but she couldn't quite put her finger on it.
Mo Mo glanced at the rearview mirror inside the car: "Didn't you hear it?"
Jiang Ruan: "What am I supposed to understand?"
Mo Mo: "I'm encouraging you."
Mo Mo: "As your bodyguard, assistant, and driver, I don't want to lose my job. I hope you can cheer up and focus on your career. Don't let other people's opinions and words upset you."
Jiang Ruan: "..."
Jiang Ruan remained silent.
At this moment, she realized that the more serious a person seems, the more likely they are to say something hurtful.
"Turn around up ahead," Jiang Ruan changed the subject. "To pick up Tang Bai."
Mo Mo: "???"
Mo Mo looked completely bewildered.
Why go pick up Tang Bai? Is he legless or can't find his way home?
Despite his thoughts, he obediently turned around and headed towards the police station for that little bit of money, only saying "Boss" to Jiang Ruan when he was almost there.
Jiang Ruan replied to the message with her head down: "Mm".
"Don't spoil your subordinates too much," Mo Mo said seriously. "It'll only make them take advantage of you."
Jiang Ruan: "Okay."
Mo Mo: "Mm."
Jiang Ruan: "From now on, when you're working as a driver and bodyguard, don't speak unless I tell you to."
Mo Mo: "??"
Jiang Ruan agreed to his request: "After all, these two jobs only require driving well and protecting my safety."
Mo Mo opened her mouth, but ultimately swallowed all her words.
Jiang Ruan waited for a while but didn't hear his rebuttal or excuse, so she looked up at the back of his head.
Mo Mo remained silent and performed her duties diligently.
Only after the car stopped in front of the police station did Mo Mo look at Jiang Ruan very seriously, her usually cold eyes now showing a hint of grievance: "Boss, do you like Tang Bai that much?"
Jiang Ruan: "?"
“He went out with you for less than a day, and you’ve already scolded me many times because of him,” Mo Mo said, her eyes fixed on her. “You’re too biased.”
Jiang Ruan's mind went blank for a moment.
Would you call this behavior "green tea" (a derogatory term for a manipulative woman)?
"Wasn't I just listening to your advice?"
Mo Mo's expression remained unchanged. After about two or three seconds, he said with his usual gaze, "You're right, you're very good. I'll go see why Tang Bai hasn't arrived yet."
The words fell.
Mo Mo nimbly opened the door and got out of the car. The moment the door closed, Jiang Ruan noticed a hint of unease on his usually serious face.
About five minutes later.
Mo Mo met Tang Bai outside the car.
Tang Bai consciously got into the driver's seat and started the car while saying, "I'm sorry to have kept you waiting. I hope no one will bother you after I leave."
"No," Jiang Ruan replied, "Everything went smoothly."
Tang Bai: "That's fine then."
After Mo Mo got into the passenger seat, Tang Bai asked with a smile, "Miss."
Jiang Ruan: "Hmm?"
Tang Bai asked, "So, does this count as quick adaptability? Will I pass the trial period?"
"Yes," Jiang Ruan replied, her gaze falling on the back of his head at that moment. "But I have a question."
Tang Bai seemed to have mind-reading abilities: "You want to ask me how I knew those two women were his accomplices? And how I was able to resolve this problem in such a short time?"
"Okay." Jiang Ruan replied readily.
From the overall perspective of the events, Tang Bai seemed to have a god-like viewpoint.
Even though he and Mo Mo came together as bodyguards, Mo Mo thought he was alright, but this kind of thing couldn't be taken lightly. She had to ask the questions she needed to, in order to prevent any future misunderstandings or suspicions from arising.
Barring any unforeseen circumstances, they will both be trusted people by her side in the future.
“Miss,” Tang Bai said with a slightly nonchalant smile, “don’t you think it’s dangerous to ask this question while I’m driving? I’m the one holding the steering wheel.”
